Increase due to very helpful person after my complaint
Totally unimpressed i was getting van issurace was happy with quote went a head the needed my ncd I have been driving a mobility car for or 12 year I didn't realise I didn't automatically collect ncd they do.however provide a clams history letter which and asked for and supplied now I have spoke to this company told them time scales and was advised this should be fine. I have called after every email ive received when I last spoke to the operator i was told she would keep the file open and if there is any problem with the letter she would call back no call arrived so I assumed all is fine. Wake up today with an email we have cancelled your policy. I have all proof showing I've done every thing on my end and in time. I will be calling Monday morning as this is rediculous. Vicky called me today and was very help her honesty was refreshing and all off the back and forth I experianced could have been avoiding if people were just up front. So for her help and understanding I have increased my rating. And if all the staff I had spoke to the 2 weeks prior had been as helpful as she was I would have happily recommended this company as I wouldn't have been giving misinformation. So thanks again vicky wish I had had someone like her in the beginning

If I could give zero stars I would. My insurance ran out in May. I renewed it. I then received a letter from budget saying my card payment hadn’t gone through and my insurance would be cancelled if I didn’t pay. I had more than enough in my account to cover it, I told this woman from budget that. She was quite rude and also charged me late payment fee of £30. I received an email from a completely different company about my cover a few days ago. Turns out I never insured myself with budget in the first place. My payment failed because they didn’t have my details. I was livid. I was refunded £2000 today I’m still £340 short. It better be in my account on Monday. I can’t believe they could do this. Scammers to say the least. Be very careful if you get a quote online they have your details and will use them. It says about reference number at the end if the review I can’t give one as I never agreed to insurance from them. Please feel free to reply to this.

Unexpected auto-renewal followed by an…
Unexpected auto-renewal followed by an additional £30 charge, despite the policy being cancelled within 24 hours. The company refused to waive the fee or record the matter as a formal complaint. The chat agent was also extremely rude and unhelpful.
Edit: After reviewing my case, they have waived the £30 fee. BudgetInsurance was quick to resolve the matter and I am very grateful. This was clearly a case of a rogue chat agent who would not even log the complaint.
I have changed the review from 1 to 5, as deserved.
