Terrible company to deal with
Terrible company to deal with. Honestly you have to wait at least 30 minutes to get an answer online from them on the online chat. The bot keeps you hanging at least 10 minutes during the contact period. You cannot contact them to speak to anyone even when they send you a letter telling you to contact them urgently. I have just cancelled my policy with them as I sold my car and they charged me for the whole policy price! Absolutely terrible company to deal with. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY better to spend a bit extra than use them. Absolute disgrace.

I tried to arrange breakdown also but was passed to different phone numbers & then told too busy & to call back some other time.
I didn't time the length of being on that call but it was long enough for me to just give up.

Renewal very straightforward. Premium seemed there or thereabouts compared with other well known insurers so not worth the time shopping around or switching and the process was very simple.

Outstanding services
Have been with RAC Insurance for a few years now, and also use RAC Breakdown service! Really impressed, love the App which is helpful, informative and easy to navigate!
RAC Insurance have looked after me well, decent optional extras, comprehensive cover and when a no-fault claim became necessary I felt looked after!
At renewal recently, my premium actually went down, so couldn’t be happier!

Easy to update and use the RAC app.
My gripe, i was waiting for a renewal quote, id received notice, my insurance was due. When the exoected email came through. It was an email thanking me for my custom and that my insurance had been cancelled. Maybe i should have been more mindful and contacted RAC earlier. My Insurance had been cancelled over the weekend, it had cancelled on a Sunday morning. I hsd no way of contacting anyone and had work the next day. So before work opened a new insurance policy with another company. The only live contact available was AI chat. Ive since received a letter expressing how important it is to have insurance and to drive without is an offence..
