Chiusura Immotivata Conto

I opened an account with Bunq in June 2020, although I haven't made many movements I have always been a regular customer. In addition, a few months ago I switched from the free plan to the paid one. Suddenly on 12/26/2022 I receive an account closure email, saying that they have noticed strange activity on my account. And their decision was not appealable. I also state that the last movement was a transfer from my other Italian account to Bunq of about 500 euros dating back to 2 months ago, and the balance as of December 26th, the closing date was about 4 euros, which they proceeded to reimburse me immediately.
Then they closed a regular account with no strange movements nor payments received from third parties, without a logical explanation. Stay away from Bunq. Maybe it's better if they dedicate themselves to planting trees as they claim.

Aprii un conto con Bunq a Giugno 2020, pur non facendo tantissimi movimenti sono stato sempre un cliente regolare. In aggiunta alcuni mesi fa passai dal piano free a quello a pagamento. Improvvisamente il 26/12/2022 mi arriva una email di chiusura conto, dicendo che hanno notato un’attività strana sul mio conto. E questa loro decisione non era appellabile. Premetto anche che l’ultimo movimento fu un bonifico da mio altro conto italiano verso Bunq di circa 500 euro risalente a 2 mesi addietro, ed il saldo al 26 dicembre data della chiusura era di circa 4 euro, che hanno provveduto a rimborsarmi immediatamente.
Quindi hanno chiuso un conto regolare senza movimenti strani né pagamenti ricevuti da terzi, senza una spiegazione logica. State lontani da Bunq. Forse è meglio se si dedicano a piantare alberi come loro affermano.

Autocratic and psychopathic behaviour

Like so many others here I had bad experiences of not being able to access support or get my money out. When I complained, Bunq blocked my account.

It was my only bank account in the country and I was screwed with no way to pay for daily expenses or rent. There's no phone number and no customer service offices. I went to their developer offices (they're in Sloterdijk) and knocked on the door. Those inside ignored me for 30 minutes until I caught someone going to lunch. I told her that either they could unblock my account and approve the transfer of my funds out or I would go immediately to the police and return with police officers.

They reluctantly agreed, unblocked my account and approved the transfer of my funds out into a new account I had opened at ABN AMRO. My life would have been so screwed if I hadn't done that.

I have since learned that the CEO and owner, Ali Niknam, has a reputation in Amsterdam (just visit glassdoor.com for what his employees have to say about him). So relieved that I escaped this scamming fraudulent company.
