It’s really quite shocking when you’re diagnosed with cancer, and amongst lots of other worries, you’re aware that some treatments can be horribly expensive and you’ve really no idea whether you’re going to be covered for everything you’ll need.
The dedicated BUPA Cancer line were always helpful and reassuring

I was told that i will be covered for my pre-op and then i received an invoice to pay for it because the hospital instead of writing that it was a bill for pre-op they wrote it was an outpatient appointment which i am not covered for. I called Bupa and they realised that all the tests were for a pre-op and they called me back that same evening at 6.45pm that i am covered for this invoice by them.

The app is easy to use and payment was received into my account within around 4 working days. Would definitely recommend. My only small critique would be that I have to re-enter my dentist practice details every time as they're not a Bupa practice. The option to save the details for next time would be great.

I had a referral from my GP to see a dermatologist as I have had psoriasis for 10 years. I filled out all the questionnaires and uploaded all the required pictures (which took time) for what I thought was a virtual appointment (like zoom). Downloaded app for skin analytics only to get a response saying...'you have psoriasis and to contact my GP'. All of 5 mins effort. I obviously know I have psoriasis and AI gave me a far more detailed response in seconds. This has been the biggest waste of time and not even sure what I'm paying for

I suffered from a long-term chronic intestinal issue, which was badly affecting my quality of life and general well-being. The only remedy was surgery. I called BUPA on 20 April 2026 and spoke to a very polite and understanding representative (Sonny) who quickly authorised the initial internal examination needed before surgery could be attempted. This procedure was completed quickly and on 7 May 2026 I called BUPA to request authorisation for the surgical procedure. Again the representative I spoke to (Jacob) was polite, efficient and understanding. The procedure was carried out on 21st May 2026 and was a complete success. The result has been literally life-changing for the better and I am truly grateful to BUPA for their unstinting support
