Poor customer services and slow services

This was the worst experience ever. Customer service wasted half an hour asking countless questions just to verify my identity, only to tell me they couldn’t help. Instead, I was told to keep waiting indefinitely for the changes I requested long ago. The representatives seem to be just passing time, giving unhelpful responses and making the process frustratingly inefficient.

Bupa a disgrace you have messed up my…

Bupa a disgrace you have messed up my account in early Dec, 70 minutes online to have my accounts separated from my login, which is not what I asked for I have had two senior so called managers make appointments at set times for call backs to me and both have let me down. I was also promised mail out of claim form since Bupa's stuff up I cannot claim online this was last Friday no claim form has arrived and no call backs, and account not fixed. Claim is pre Christmas. Total disgrace, Hang your heads in shame bupa

Worst customer service

Worst customer service! I can’t believe how rude they are! Waited half hour on the phone to speak to them to updated the expiry of my credit card and they accused me of not being the real customer and hung up the phone in my face. Disgusting service but you did me a favour because I will transfer my business to another provider.

Massive incompetence

I spent ages this morning trying to contact Bupa by telephone including a substantial wait. I was then offered a call back option but as soon as the operator engaged the call dropped out or she hung up on me. My original enquiry was very simple but since I I am unable to contact my insurance carrier despite making substantial monthly payments, I will be seeking another carrier.

Hands off - Be careful with BUPA

Luckily I had no insurance insurance case but the Service in finding out what my polica number is, already drove me mad.
If you have the chance to look for alternative coverage. Go for that. It could hardly be worse!

Worst pet insurance

Worst pet insurance. We changed from RSPCA (where they paid 80% of every claim) to Bupa as it was cheaper and we were Bupa health insurance customers. Thinking we would receive the same cover (was only marginally cheaper), we were shocked when after paying 10months of premiums we had 2 claims, both of which were totally rejected (ear infection and vaccine $250, and teeth clean and removal-$1500). What is the point of paying if there's no cover? Will be cancelling immediately.

Refuses coverage - left me unable to get proper health services

I have been with BUPA for over a year. I had specifically discussed with the agent who sold me the policy my family history of gastrointestinal issues. They told me, "oh, you'll be covered for a colonoscopy and everything!" Turns out, the colonoscopy is the only thing they will cover. No coverage for blood work or CT scan related to digestive issues. No cover for any overnight stays while waiting to have tests done. No coverage for any medical procedures that are digestion-related. I was left with nothing but my Medicare to cover these details.

Honestly, do not waste your time with this company. They will select out what they are willing to cover at a time when you are at your most vulnerable. I will be switching to HBF or HCF immediately following my recovery.

Pet Insurance is getting incredibly expensive

While Bupa does process my claims quite quickly, I do find their fees to be incredibly high.

The premium for my Bupa pet insurance grows exponentially each year, not even close to the rate of inflation. I estimate maybe a 40% increase in premiums year-on-year.

Bupa pet insurance chooses to not cover pre-existing conditions of my pet...for life. So they know that I can't leave them, and come back to them later. They know that they can charge almost anything they want, no matter how little claims history I have with them.

I know I lose out each year to premiums and won't get my money's worth. But I also know that I can't cover the most expensive surgeries on my pet, no matter how unlikely they are to happen. Bupa knows that too, so they take advantage of this.

Been with Bupa since there inception paid a lot of money over 25 years Was planning to get my cataracts done.Bupa said they are not covered So if you haven’t got gold cover Which i had up till 12 months ago Cancel it immediately Silver basically covers northing I just looked at there Google reviews Don’t why they are still operating Regards .Kerry Culpin Yarrawonga

Imposible to cancel the cover

Do not hire the service. Signing up for the insurance is very easy, but when you want to cancel it, they don't answer the chat or calls, not even on Instagram. And when they do, they give you a lot of runaround and don't manage the cancellation. It's the second and last time I've hired them. Very dissatisfied.

Wrong information won't release audio to clients

Bad advice . Staff not knowledgeable was told I could not change my cover only to find out that I had to and because it was not changed . Now cost me $ 1000 s expense every year . And Bupa won't release there audio recordings to me . So they must be hiding the truth . Ask them when you sign up to send you a copy of your audio recording with them . They won't give it to you . Trust me I tried . They lies
