Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 60 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall, expressing deep disappointment with the company's daily operations. Customers frequently complained about unexpected extra charges, incorrect billing amounts, and long annoying delays when trying to contact customer support agents. Consumers also experienced severe network connection issues, losing phone service and broadband access for multiple days without proper communication or resolution. Some reviewers were happy with the polite and patient assistance provided by individual staff members when they finally managed to connect. However, buyers often felt frustrated by rigid contracts, unhelpful automated phone menus, and a persistent lack of internal communication across departments.

Its hard to run a business with O2…

Its hard to run a business with O2 Business as you spend so much time on the phone trying to sort out the most basic of problems.

After 3 years I still cannot get access to my account or download (or even receive) invoices. Appalling service.

To try and resolve it will be require a min 45 min call with a polite but ultimately useless rep in the Philippines - which I simply dont have time for. This is after spending hours trying to resolve the issue with them over the past few weeks.

I finally ditched O2 after 20 years

I have been a business customer with them since around 2007. Deal was good some handsets on deals then in 2018 decided to consider sim only. Rates were decent about 25 quid a month for 2 sims unlimited calls and text 10G of data... nothing to complain about apart perhaps the ever woefully inadequate "flash" interface in the mid 10's (finally ditched thank god). Then somewhat decent billing reports as of late. Only I never have been sold on their website and support chat was passable. Somewhat helpful customer service depending on who you got to talk to. Last contract renewal was going to double my costs so I voted with my feet and moved to Lebara. Same service (actually better) for less. Also did not fancy having to go through hoops telling O2 I changed my business name. Talking about rewarding a 20years long customer. I guess they got their money worth. Not to mention the EASY way to manage your numbers on Lebara's website customer portal.

So long. Good luck with Virgin

Zero customer service

I have tried for more than hour to contact O2 business by phone and online chat. No result whatsoever. Have had five numbers with them for several years but it's time to move on.

O2 Business/ Airtime Solutions

O2 Business/ Airtime Solutions, two Complete corrupt companies, mis selling/ misrepresenting contracts, charge extra fees for services you've not received, customer services have one line, you still have to pay, phone blocking for none payment of services you are not receiving, then expect you to pay the balance on a contract after they have blocked your company phones, due to their billing errors. Complete useless shite company, not to mention, masts always down for repair, a failing service. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this shamble of a company, who do nothing to sort their own problems out, just threaten debt collectors and legal action for their mistakes. I can't tell you how shit this company is, theft, theft, theft is all they know.

DO NOT JOIN O2 BUSINESS!

You have been warned.
I Joined from 3 Mobile on a business contract for three mobile numbers. One number was not set up correctly when it was ported from 3 Mobile. No calls in unless from another O2 line, no SMS messages being received. (Research suggests this is not uncommon).
Reported to CS, need a new SIM, new SIM fitted, same issues. Told CS I need it to be sent to the 2nd line tech. They agreed, and then told me it will take up to 10 days! What level of Customer Service is that, especially on a business contract?
I have tried everything to get the problem resolved, including a complaint. That takes up to 28 days to get processed!
In short, once you have signed up, (a very efficient and helpful service), O2 stop caring about you or the service that you have purchased. By comparison, Vodafone tell me their SLA on faults for business customers is the next day. Guess where I am going!!!

So, my advice is, don't sign up with O2 Business. The service is not fit for purpose, and they just don't care!

Extremely Poor Service

O2 Business Support is extremely poor. We had no service for 8 days, I could not make or receive calls, and could only access emails or internet if connected to our Wi-Fi. This had a severe impact on our business, especially as I travel for work. We called the support desk every day, we visited 2 different stores and still no one could resolve the issue.
I was disappointed to learn that stores can no longer support business customers, and none of their social media channels can assist either. Managers do not return calls and the technical team can take up to 10 days to deal with your issue. I find this service appalling and have submitted a complaint.

Disgraceful experience, loss of business

Switched from Vodafone to O2 Business and I have been on the phone with O2 for the last 5 weeks trying to fix the fact that I'm not receiving text messages. I have called 12-15 times by now, to each time hear the same broken record. Been told several times I would be called back by technicians and supervisors, which hasn't happened once.
This is affecting severely my business, not to mention the waste of time on the phone, up to 2 hours at one time.
Looking for legal advice to get compensation for caused loss of business.
Filed a complaint 2 weeks ago, still waiting to hear back.
Dreadful.

Utterly inept and useless as with absolutely everything to do with this pitiful and inept company. I hope the entire company goes bust and everyone that works there runs out of hot water when next in the shower AFTER they have lathered their hair. Seriously, they are at the absolute apex of everything that is wrong with corporate outsourced tech led useless customer service.

I echo the bad reviews

I echo the bad reviews.

I have been trying to have 02 Business address a complaint in writing relating to interruption in sev ice since November 2024 to no avail. They simply email and say it has been resolved when it has not. They give you an email address to write to that relates to the personal account and not business and then say that they will pass it to business and do not.

Today, I had a call handler from somewhere in Asia tell me that he was going to transfer me to the correct dept and he would explain the problem and when the call was picked up, he had simply dumped the number into the technical team. It is getting to the stage that I might as well issue proceedings. At least then they might wake up. This poor customer service is everything that is wrong with the UK now. Cutting costs and screwing the customers.

PS - I have found that every time you write to O2, they start up a fresh complaint number. It seems to be absolutely chaotic there and it is no wonder that they are in disarray.
