My broker at Caenstone is Tom, and I’ve had an all round great experience! I’m a first time solo buyer so needed a lot of support which I received tons of throughout the entire process. The communication from Tom was brilliant every step of the way and I felt very looked after. My case was a little complicated and finding the right lender wasn’t straight forward, but Tom pushed forward and found the best option for me.

I’d highly recommend this firm, and Tom in particular.

Absolutely brilliant! Tom was there every step of the way and got back to any and all queries immediately. We changed purchase properties part way through the process and had an MIP within the hour.
Went above and beyond to help us, changed to better deals without asking and have recommended to family and friends.

Martyn took a really good care not only on our mortgage but he also helped us with any inquiry we had relative to purchase process and on all available programs that I could benefit from. At the end, I bough a flat with help to buy. Martyn provide super clear advises and steps to applying for the mortgage etc and he was very responsive to our emails and questions. Unprofessionalism & poor customer care from Tom Knee.

Tom assisted with our Mortgage a couple of years back, everything was smooth and he knew his stuff.

Fast forward 2 years, our mortgage was due for renewal - because of our previous positive experience with Tom, we decided to reach out to him again - Tom advised that he could get us a decent rate, we had a few conversations and provided Tom with the relevant information that he requested.

The next day Tom provided us with 2 offers - One with our current lender and the other with a new lender - Tom recommended the new lender - We took his advise and he put in an application for the new lender.

A week went by, no update from Tom - I called, sent a text and followed it up by an e-mail in the space of a week and still no reply from Tom, this was unlike him because he used to return my call, text or e-mail straight away - we were worried.

3 weeks had passed, and still no contact from Tom - I got my wife to call him because he didn't have her number saved, I wanted to know If he was ignoring my calls.

Tom picked up the call immediately - he was shocked when she introduced herself, he made something up and rushed her off the phone and promised to call her back within the hour to explain the status of our application.

Tom didn't have the decency to return my calls or reply back to my e-mail chasing for an update, regardless of the outcome good or bad - morally it is your duty as a broker to inform us.

We ended up going with L&C Mortgages - They were very professional, honest and the process was straight forward.

Kyle was very helpful and knowledgeable and made the whole process very smooth. He took care of all the paperwork from AIP to getting the mortgage offer.

Our purchase was a complex one and Tom was great throughout the whole process. He has deep industry experience and communications were always clear. Would recommend.

Great service! We were very late in our Help to Buy application (only hours to spare) but Tom managed to get it all done in time. A few months later we are in the property, excellent service!

Tom was fantastic. Approached him through a friend of mine. He was on it from day one and locked in at favourable rates, in time before the increased mortgage rates went into effect during Covid. Tom was prompt with all our queries and adapted to late request prior to exchange. He has good links with other suppliers required for transacting on a house which we utilised. Highly recommend Tom if you want to get moving and want to sail smoothly.
