Callidus 

Put a deposit down for a additional 2 Tesla batteries waited almost 12 months and the company told me they had no date for release and despite offering a fixed price then said Tesla are not moving the price upwards, tried to put together a additional package using a different make of battery but after countless emails and a couple of surveys later it was then decided the system I have would not be compatible after I questioned this for over 3 months leading to their decision,this went on from may 2022 until April 2023 we then had to threaten legal action to get our deposit back do not trust this company.

I wanted to update the battery setup on our motorhome, I did it in stages buying the lithium battery and all the associated chargers etc from Callidus .
They were very helpful with buying the right parts with no overselling and always willing to give advice and information
I now have an amazing system all working better than expected

Russ and his team are awesome. They helped me design the system, advised on my requirements and their after sales help was good standard. If building an off grid camper van and have no experience and want old fashioned good customer service, these are the guys for you.

With high wind and rain the two Sam's and Lewis were excellent and asked my opinion all the way,very helpful and polite the job was done very quickly and they did a professional job. Thank you boys what a great job done

This review is about a situation yesterday, but I have been buying from Callidus for over a year now, and have placed thousands of pounds worth of orders with them for solar panels, batteries, MPPTs, inverters, and wiring accessories. All the orders have arrived on time and in good condition and the components have worked as specified. That on it's own is worth a 5 star review to me!

Yesterday however, I did have a fault on a Victron Multiplus inverter which had been working smoothly until then. The unit had shut itself down safely and wouldn't restart, so I raised a helpdesk ticket and also mentioned the issue to Callidus on the phone, as I am preparing to place another order with them. After sending across more information to help Victron assess the fault, I got a call back from a Callidus staff, who resolved the issue to my satisfaction and did so with professionalism and warmth. I was very surprised and delighted that my problem had been dealt with so quickly and efficiently.

Electrical engineering runs in my family and I am very careful about who I choose as suppliers and the quality of the kit they sell me. In my opinion what sets a great supplier apart is the quality of their product knowledge, customer service and relationship with the product manufacturers, and Callidus just showed me once again that they have all three of these in abundance, and I'm going to keep them as my supplier of choice for solar renewables.

I bought £1000 of off grid solar equipment for a campervan conversion from Callidus.
On our first maiden outing in the van the inverter, a Victron Energy Phoenix 12/500 model became very erratic and it became pretty obvious that this item was a dud.
I wrote to Callidus in Devon for advice as to how to return the item and receive a refund as I had only used it once and had bought it only 6 months before.
Their customer service department wrote back to me saying I had to read the user manual.
This system was installed professionally by an experienced graduate electrical engineer and I found their zero customer service rude and objectionable.
They then told me that the matter was closed.
We'll see about that.

Donna in the sales department is lovely and very helpful but after 3 phone calls I never heard back, so please do not wait for a reply. I cannot comment on their work as I never heard back from them.

After failing to get through on live chat calidus did actually phone me the next day. The rep seemed helpful and said he’d put a quote together for me. It’s now over a week later and still not heard back from them even after me phoning up twice I still didn’t manage to get past the receptionist to get help, advice or sales.
Very strange business model.
Not pleased so I took my money elsewhere.

Still waiting for my quote two weeks later…
They didn’t understand my simple requirements that I emailed in detail, basically just uninterested, obviously !
Purchased my £7,000 of Victron kit elsewhere.

Callidus , have been the best of the rest , when it come to solar power, from initial advise too post install questions. 5 star service . I researched a lot of solar company's. over many years and this this was the most honest and value for money company on the market .
I had this system installed over a year, and very happy with it.
