Cambabest damage walkways and do not care.

Cambabest do provide good building materials at competitive prices. They have a real problem with driver training and delivery personnel who do not care about the damage they do to the public walk way or grass verges to the front of your homes. They know full well that when you drive 30 ton vehicles across grass verges and concrete slabs that they will destroy the verges and break every slab they drive over. When you call them to report the damage, provide pictures, even picture of their driver they do zero. Cambabest do not care an oz about the damage they do to the public walkways, they leave endless amounts of public footpaths and walkways dangerous to walk over.

Avoid Cambabest at all costs!!!

This Company’s staff - Cambabest - have no respect for customers’ time and effort to make ourselves available for them to deliver the goods we’ve paid for..
What’s worse is that we are continuously lied to on the phone when we’re chasing our order, saying they’re coming ‘tomorrow’ but they never did and: for instance I’ve paid for some bricks on 21/11/2025 and on 26/11/2025 I was still chasing them on the phone. I’ve called the Trading Standards and I’ve reported them and I’ve got some legal advice and I was going to take this Company to the courts for compensation for the distress they’ve created me, especially because I am sick and they’ve stressed me out beyond limits!! Luckily for them they’ve delivered the goods five days after I’ve paid them!! Next time I’ll take them to the courts for compensation FOR SURE - if they’re going to put me under such stress and distress!! I think they’re full of themselves and they think nothing will happen to them, hence they carry on carelessly ignoring and neglecting customers!! But they will have a nasty surprise one day!! I just recommend them to carry on in the same insolent manner and they will pay lots of money in compensation for the distress they’re creating, loss of money as builders are on site and can’t work due to lack of materials and so on..!!!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CAMBABEST, unless you want to get literally sick or you want to waste weeks of your life waiting for these indolent and arrogant workers to bother to deliver your goods you’ve paid weeks ago!!

I was trying to call up to order some…

I was trying to call up to order some materials was told to wait a second as soon as they answered the call , was sat there for 10 minutes before I decided to end it and go else where, everytime I use these they are rude and don’t care about customers at all

They dumped my delivery.

They dumped my delivery in the drive on the top of the rubbish. They promised me, i would get a phone call to make sure, i be at home. Nobody called me, when i turned home around 11:00pm, i found everything dumped. Rubbish customer service.

Terrible business

Beware of this business.
I ordered 1 ton of top soil and received 1 ton of a little bit of soil topped with sand, grit and cement. Looked like it had come from a building site. Rang to complain and was put on hold, then phone put down. Sent emails and no reply. Terrible customer service and rude staff. Will never purchase from this business again.

Hurtful insult from a senior Camberbest staff member

Today I was insulted by a Camberbest staff member at the end of my purchase (through another employee). This senior Sikh man, told me I should 'stay home and cook' I guess, instead of forging forward with my home DIY project, ordering & purchasing & my own building material! He said it twice, in case I didn't hear. The only response I could get out was to say 'out of order'. Misogynistic comments like that to a retired ex-City Birmingham Council worker, will not be taken lightly.

Bought a slabs

Bought a slabs, one of them was faulty. The delivery man did not notify me of his coming by knocking on the door. The individual told me that consumers are required to adhere to the 10% liability policy when asking for a replacement, a detail that I was not informed of before. The terms and conditions were not given, and the person suggested that you should have asked about them instead of assuming you would be informed. After reviewing the website, I did not find any information on terms and conditions. When I mentioned the delivery guy should have knocked, Sam suggested that you should have requested him to knock on the door. He is not obligated to knock on your door; his sole responsibility is to deliver the items. I believe it unreasonable that an item or package could disappear if left on the grass. Sam indicated that you had asked for either a phone call or a knock on the door. Avoid buying from them since they are quite rude and unable to solve problems.

I placed order for good I was told…

I placed order for good I was told delivery in 2 days. The second day arrived I am still waiting. When you call them you are met with attitude it’s like they are shouting. Put you on hold and serve costumers! They are rude can’t tell me if delivery has gone out or what time to expect it. When I complained I was told “ honey we are cheap” defo cheap and disgusting 🤢 I urge you never go here they are disgusting attitude want your order so nice then! Once order placed its like do 1. Money grabbing.

Shocking customer service skills

Shocking customer service skills, got the same person at the counter last 2 times, no manners very rude, car parking a nightmare. Building materials on the footpath. Will never come here again will go elsewhere.

Horrible place to work went through racial discrimination victimised for using the toilet which was all put down to banta how can some one put racial discrimination down to banta clearly ur just a number there made my life hell in the last year

I’m soo disappointed…

I’m soo disappointed with my last experience I had with Cambabest. I visited the store as I had paid for timber...
Went to the yard to collect it...it was soaking wet... I asked for dry timber as that is what I paid for. The person then told me to dry it myself. It’s appalling. The boiler filter boxes were damaged also. However the filers seemed ok. In summary-:
The customer service is seriously lacking. The staff are rude, aggressive and show no empathy whatsoever. I won’t be visiting again.

Pathetic service!!

Pathetic service!!! Contacted them number of times to ask them about the delivery date and time but they have refused to give me the date and time which clearly shows poor mismanagement and bad customer services. I'll never use them again. It has delayed my project massively and resulted unnecessary stress. Avoid them at all cost!!!

Customer Service is abysmal

Customer Service is abysmal. They are so scummy and rude. Poor quality materials. They’re just trying to scam you out of your money. I’m confident most of their good reviews are their employees. Be safe and pay more for better quality and service from a reputable company. I promise they are not worth it.

I am aware that a review that is written well should have suggestions on how to improve, but the people that work here are not honest. They won’t take constructive criticism because their only goal is to make money and not care about anyone. That’s how scammers are, so no point making suggestions for improvement.

Excellent customer service received…

Excellent customer service received for a new Shower Room from Ian, the Project Manager, Sanjay, the Bathroom Designer to Richard the fitter and his team. We received an optimum bespoke service from all personnel. We received thorough explanation of materials that would be used for our Bathroom design, the fitting criteria and installation costs. This involved several visits to our home by Ian, the Project Manager who suggested ideas which provided us with reassurance. We also liked the close attention to detail and patience provided which helped us select colour plus design. Accessories were also featured and we were able to view these in our final bathroom design plans.
On installation day, all personnel was polite, provided a Covid Secure environment in our home. We were kept informed of next steps throughout the installation and we were extremely satisfied with the result.

Poor quality material

Poor quality material. I bought £1000 with of timber and it was the worst quality I have ever seem. I know the shortage but these guys take the biscuits with customer service. The wood I revived was for my roof and the 6x2 timer was cracked and had chunks missing. The delivery driver wasn’t interested in my complaints. He’s just shrugged he’s shoulder and drove off. I will never buy or recommend these people are thieves, plain and simple. Avoid buying from them.

Thieves

Oh yes, I have been following you and I have to say your service and customer service are both worst in the city. I went to your shop to order some goods and you have delivered garden posts which are of the poorest quality. When I phoned you you said you don’t discuss these things over the phone and told me to bring the receipt to the shop. When I took it to the shop you said you don’t have time to talk to me and are not going to take the items back. I asked the man standing in the counter who the manager was and he said the manager is not in. Then the old man called Sam standing next to him claimed he is the manager. Thieves!! Wait for the video to come on Facebook and YouTube soon.
