Beautiful quartz worktops & splashbacks

Beautiful quartz worktops & splashbacks plus sink unit fitted perfectly by Chris and Jake, they look amazing! The reason I haven't given this 5* is because the quote I was given did not cover the cost of the fitting, it was just for the materials, this I feel should have been made obvious before agreement. I had to sump up an extra £400 which I hadn't agreed to at the time of putting down the deposit. Also they didn't take away any of the rubbish even though they said someone would be in contact about it. Would I still have hired them? Yes absolutely, just be aware of the extra charges.

Excellent worktop overlays

Used this company to carry out an upgrade of our kitchen worktops. The two contractors turned up on time and did a wonderful job of installing the new overlays. We now have a sparkling new kitchen.

RUBBISH PRODUCT - POOR AFTER SALES

My worktops costing £1,500 are still under guarantee - at the join of the large area a crack appeared, I was offered repair at my expense but there was no guarantee this would work, I paid about £50 and the crack re-appeared within a very short time then got bigger, after many phone calls they agreed to re-do the repair, it still hasn't worked and the breakfast bar is now cracking. I spoke to Meghan today (her signature block said she was Joe's Doors - apparently a sister company) she said the crack would be due to damage, I refuted this as we are very careful with all our possessions, she then said she had lost the signal, so after a while I hung up - tried again and my call wasn't answered. I remember the last fiasco when I rang them to tell them the crack was growing - they accepted no liability but insisted the worktop must have been damaged they didn't even consider their product could have been at fault. When it was fitted the fitter said "you can hit this with a hammer and it won't break" I haven't hit it with anything, or dropped anything on it. Steer clear of this company - bad product, bad service and after care

clearance of general work rubbish

Having payed £4200 for the worktop I am very dissapointed at the poor level of aftercare service. the agreement regarding the clearance of waste was that I would dispose of the sink and taps, the next day I was amazed to find the general work rubbish left in the new sink cardboard box. Eventualy you agreed to remove the rubbish but it never happened ? you never even bothered to answer my emails sent to you. There will not be any recommendations from me

Good and Bad,

Good and Bad,
The Company carried out replacement worktops in the kitchen and utility room and a new sink and taps in the kitchen in 2022. We were very satisfied with the result; the subcontractors did a good job and we gave a good review on Trustpilot.
However, the Company's after sales Customer Service left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. To cut a long story short (it took several months to bring it to a conclusion) the plug in the smaller drainer would not hold water which was so inconvenient as we had to use the large drainer when we could have saved a significant amount of water. We wrote two reasonable letters , one to the Managing Director, the other to a Director we found on the Companies House Register. They were both ignored. We followed up with an e-mail to which we received a response. They indicated they would not accept our complaint as they contended the 12 month guarantee had expired. This was not correct as we had contacted them within this period but the inordinate delay by this company took it beyond the twelve month period. They must have accepted this as they then maintained the plug was faulty so we had to obtain a suitable replacement and they would reimburse us, We did not think this was correct as we pointed out both plugs worked in the large drainer but neither in the smaller drainer. Nevertheless, we checked with a supplier and we were told they are a standard size. By this time, after such a long period of time getting no cooperation whatsoever, we asked our usual tradesman to have a look at the problem. He straight away told us the drainer mechanism was faulty and so we decided to ask him to remedy the fault. The cost of labour and parts came to the princely sum of £60 which we settled. We were reasonably confident that Quartzize would reimburse us as it would have cost them so much more to arrange an appointment for them to find the cause of the fault and then, probably, another appointment to carry out the repair. To our amazement and disappointment they informed us that, in view of the fact we had not obtained their permission to arrange to remedy the problem, they would only pay one half! We were so disappointed and exhausted that we reluctantly agreed. So, the net result of all this time and hassle is that for a fault that Quartzize agreed was their responsibility, it cost us £30! Clearly, this is a small amount but we were so grateful it was not a much bigger problem or it would have been so stressful. It seems to us that because they seem to use sub contactors, one cannot be certain as to the quality of the work. It can be satisfactory or just the opposite. If the latter, then you would have to hope their after sales Customer Service was not what we experienced. D and Y Lancashire. Date of complaint June 2023, resolved January 2024.

Job well done.

The lads did a great job with the fitting but a couple of doors were the wrong size.they sorted a couple of problems without any problems. Thank you Will and Chris.
Fitting the new hob was not so successful however. One of the burners would not ignite. To be replaced.

Absolutely dreadful

Absolutely dreadful! This is by far the worst company I have dealt with in years!
The work was supposed to be completed in two days back in early March 2023 - when no-one turned up on the first day, I eventually called them to find out the fitter wasn't coming and they were sending a single fitter the next day to fit 21 doors and 3 replacement units. When the fitter turned up the next day, he stated that this was impossible for a single day. He came back the following Monday and Tuesday, but couldn't finish the work due to incorrect sized units and missing parts. So I had taken 4 days off work for an incomplete job.
Several weeks passed before another very helpful fitter turned up, but even then one of the doors was wrong, other doors appear warped, drawer soft closing devices weren't fitted and the plinth lights that they provided are of very poor quality are not fitted. Each time I called I was told a manager will call me back - nothing!!
A door was then fitted with the wrong glass and it took 2 months for them to supply and fit a replacement – as they’d already taken the original door, we were left with a bare cupboard for that period.
The biggest contention was the warped doors, which they agreed to replace, but when they turned up in late-September, were also warped and their fitter refused to fit them.
Quartzize has now – after 7 months - refused to replace them at all, claiming that all doors are warped and that they are within tolerance! They also refuse to compensate me for having around 10 days of work for their visits, for a job that should have taken two days!
My biggest regret is paying them up front - which they insist on - DO NOT DO IT! Once they have your money, they are not interested. They make appointments then either turn up on the wrong day or not at all. Their product is also of poor quality – you’re better off with B&Q! Their customer service is appalling.
Avoid this company at all costs!

In response to Quartzize's response - I did not demand replacement doors and compensation, but compensation OR replacement doors. I did, however, request compensation for the months of inconvenience due to incorrect sized units, wrong materials, missing parts, etc, that required multiple visits by numerous fitters, none of which managed to solve all of the outstanding issues in one go. Further, the warping is far more than 0.5mm!
This company's response is typical of its customer service and concentrates on one issue but ignores all of the others.
I have a series of over 30 e-mails (mostly from me chasing responses) plus photos at every stage of this saga to back up my claims. In addition, I sent letters of complaint to both of the CEOs listed in Company House website by recorded delivery and received no response. All of my requests to speak to a senior manager were rebuffed!
I say again - ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL!

Further Update!
1. You only explained the FIRA standards to me in an e-mail last week!
2. Neither the company's owners nor either of the CEOs have EVER called me! The only manager ever spoken to was the office manager, who refused to connect me to a CEO!
Such a response is typical of your entire customer service over the past 7 months and fails to address why it has taken 7 months to conduct a task
that should have been completed in two days in early March!
I say again - ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL!

And so it goes on .............................. blame the customer!
I repeat - I have NEVER spoken to either of your CEOs! If he would like to call me on my mobile to discuss what he ALLEGEDLY did in July, then I'd be happy to take his call!
Further, the two calls you claimed your Senior Installation Manager made to me you have now changed to one call and one e-mail:
1. March 1st at 11.52am - this was BEFORE the original installation dates of 9/10 March, so is irrelevant to my complaint!
2. email June 22nd at 1.57pm - so not a call then!
So of the 3 calls you claimed in your response that I should have remembered, one was pre-installation, one was an to arrange fitting of a glass door and the 3rd was for a conversation with a director that never happened.
GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE REBUFFING A CUSTOMER'S COMPLAINT!
Looking at the 100s of other 1 and 2 star reviews received by Quartzize over the past months, this seems to be a trait - blame the customer for being unreasonable.
It took until 4 July to fix the last of the original defects, apart from the warped doors, which are more than 0.5mm warpage. I will now be contacting Trading Standards!
I say again - ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL!

I am now 8 months on from installation

I am now 8 months on from installation. I have unfinished work which I complained about directly following installation in January. I have had around 6 further visits and the product for the unfinished area was 'forgotten'. The date was rearranged I reminded the installation manager AND customer service to ask the technicians to bring the product. When they arrived I asked if they had it 'Nobody told us about that' they said.
I have had 3 sinks .....the last one leaked badly and a plumber needed to come in. There is grout/sealant in random places, it is not neat, much of it is blobby and the colours of sealant are different and the grout looks swful....it demonstrates a lack of knowledge and skill in my humble opinion.
I emailed a formal complaint around 5 weeks ago. This was totally ignored. Only when I sent registered letters to CEOs, customer service and the installation manager with exactly the same as I had emailed did I get a phone call. They are offering to do the whole thing again! I just can't stand the mess of it all being ripped out. And I can't trust any if their technicians. They are not affiliated with any governing body so there is no ombudsman covering that company. I am now paying for a solicitor to help me. The emotional trauma has been awful. I am asking for compensation to get a different product which might look ok in the unfinished area. I want all the sealant removed and reapplied property and with one matching colour.
I wish that I had never ever seen that advert.

Very unprofessional work

Fitter arrived and set up a tent outside for any cutting that might be needed.
He did most of the cutting of the new worktops in the kitchen, suffice to say that the kitchen and dining room were covered in a layer of dust.
I expected seamless joints but the joints were filled with a white grout which really stands out as the worktops are a creamy beige.
Also where the worktops start at the kitchen door, I can still see a little of the old worktop.
Not what I expected at all, and I’m disappointed that the lowest score i can give them is a 1.

On the 22/11/21 We had worktop overlays…

On the 22/11/21 We had worktop overlays plus matching Splashbacks. We are unbelievably happy with the finished product. It's transformed my kitchen beyond my dreams. Martin the fitter and Morgan his young helper were so nice, very respectful of our home and very tidy workers. When they had finished my back garden looked like we'd had a snow storm from the cutting of the Quartz but Morgan hoovered all my plants and Martin jet washed the paving slabs. I have already had 4 of my friends look at my kitchen and are in the process of getting theirs done as well. Quatzize thank you, thank you thank you
