Company Might Be Out Of Business.

I ordered a Cambox V4 back on May 23 2025. It said it wouldn't ship out tell the first of July 2025 and I bought USPS next day air. It is the third of July 2025 and I have not gotten any response from the company via the emails I sent to them. On top of that the site has been down since around June I believe. I have heard some people saying that the company went out of business, if that's the case I either want my order completed (since I placed it before they went out of business) or a refund. Order taken company vanished.

Don’t trust them unreliable

I purchased a camera in April, paid in advanced 500+ eur. They confirmed delivery time in June which is a very long time. I sent 2 emails to receive estimate date of delivery and no answer. The web site is down since weeks. I ask for cancellation and refund but no answer. I am worried I ordered via a scam page. Be careful!!!

I ordered a Pro V4 paid $600.00 and have not received the product yet!!!!

I ordered a Pro V4 from them in early April/25. I I’ve sent a email to ask about the delivery time and the sales person said there was a back orders to be delivered first week of June. I have emailed the company with no response back and every time I go to the CamBox America site It’s under maintenance. I’ve spent 600$ and they are not following through to deliver my product and neither answer my emails. I hope this is not a scam, otherwise we will have to open a dispute compliant at ODR since the company is in Europe.

Be Very Cautious!!!!

I ordered a Pro V4 from them in early May. I was suppose to get an update June 1st on back orders. I have emailed them twice and every time I go to the CamBox America site. It’s under maintenance. I was excited to use this for my son but now I am out 600$ and they are not following through with getting me my product

Terribly disappointed and unreliable.

Terribly disappointed and unreliable.
The battery doesn’t last longer than one medium race session.
The WiFi connectivity is the slowest I’ve come across.
I need to constantly reboot it as it’s always locked.
It really is a BAD product and best avoided .
The product just overheated and then completely failed, do not go near this rubbish.
I’m sure they’ll send some “helpful” response to this message, but from day 1 it’s been rubbish and capable of putting anyone in a terrible mood (not least my child, who is only trying to get better at sport - this product definitely doesn’t help anything)

The camera has never worked properly…

The camera has never worked properly since bought. Got in contact with cam box who wasn't very help full then chose to ignore us. The battery life is non existent, the footage is hit and miss if its corrupt and it fails to turn on most of the time. My son has tried to persevere with it but the best moments that you would want on camera were never recorded. It has only been in a helmet and never wet. Good idea but as good as a chocolate teapot.

Camera is NOT waterproof

Cambox specifies on their website that their camera is Showerproof (resists to water splashes, rain and snow only).
My wife has been using the camera for about 9 months, we went to review the footage about a month ago but a lot of the video files were blank.
Contact cambox who said to send it back along with our 512Gb SD card for testing.
I heard back from them to say that there had been water damage so it was not covered under warranty and to repair it would cost £146.51 plus delivery, plus VAT.
We did get caught in the odd shower when out horse riding but did not even think to worry about the camera when it was raining a bit as the company say that it is showerproof. IT CLEARLY IS NOT.
I replied to them saying thank you very much for looking into the issue but we will put the £146.51 plus delivery, plus VAT towards something more robust like a GoPro.
I did not hear back from Cambox after that and they have even kept our SD card which was £30 :-(
Do not be tempted by how good it looks, it clearly is not fit for purpose.
Also battery life is appalling, if you want it as a road safety device think twice as you will be lucky to get an hours use out of it whilst out for a hack.
Do not waste your money, buy a GoPro instead.

Do not order from this company!

I ordered a Cambox pro in December 2022 when it was on back order and, nine months later, I have yet to receive it. I have asked for a refund and have gotten no response. Almost $500 in the trash.

A company to avoid!

As long as you have no problems then the product is a decent hat camera.

The footage quality on mine was never as good as advertised but it was perfectly acceptable, so I didn't really think much of it.

After about a year the velcro on the top of my Cambox started to peel off - I contacted the company and they said to return it as it was still covered under warranty.

They gave me a prepaid label and I arranged for FedEx to collect it. All fine.

I packaged the camera in a padded jiffy bag that was a good fit. However, when it arrived with Cambox it had clearly been smashed up in the post by FedEx's poor handling. In the photos Cambox sent me you could see that FedEx had clearly opened the parcel and resealed it.

I asked them what insurance they had on the prepaid label as I would obviously need to look to claim my losses back from FedEx.

It has been two weeks now and I've yet to have a response, despite me chasing them. I suspect they got no insurance on the parcel and will now proceed to ignore me - so that's £400 down the drain. In hindsight I should have just used super glue to fix the velcro.

I will never be buying another product from this company and I would not recommend them to anyone.

There are far better companies out there to give your money to and, to say in disappointed in the service I've received is an understatement.

Dreadful

Dreadful, to me it seems like a very cheaply built camera.
Quick summary of my position.
Bought the CamBox Pro. Within 12 months it went wrong. We sent it back for repair. It took over three months to come back to us. First time using it after repair and it has gone wrong again, totally frozen, can’t get it to do anything. Company now refusing to correspond. Very disappointed. Won’t be buying anything from this company again!

If you want to get ripped off then buy…

If you want to get ripped off then buy one! The camera Doesn't work ever! Dies extremely quick, Doesn't record image just get sound, freezes up non stop and a complete waste of money . Almost $500 down the drain. Customer service was okay at first, until I asked for a refund now I've been emailing them for over a month with no response back. If cambox wants to stand behind there products and charge premium amounts then you should make sure your products actually work

Cambox v4 Battery Life is terrible

I have a Cambox V4 and found the battery life to be very disappointing. I have to use head / body cameras when horse riding on the roads for safety purposes so I can record any incidents. However the battery life simply makes this camera not fit for purpose. I have much cheaper cameras with hours of battery life so I know the technology is out there. The quality is great but I simply cannot recommend this camera for hacking out horses.

Ordered my cambox and received it July…

Ordered my cambox and received it July 2020.
Once set up it’s pretty easy to use and I liked the fact it fits under the brim of the hat, is light weight and can’t get snagged on trees etc. I was really pleased with it for the first few months. However, in December 2020 I noticed the battery life was severely reduced. I was only getting 35 mins instead of the advertised 85 mins. This is where I’ve had some issues. I emailed the company twice and got no response, I then sent them a message on Facebook to which they replied I needed to return the camera. I went to my post office and was told if I wanted it insured for the market value it would cost me £45. I then called the company and they did send me a prepaid QR code label which the post office accepted. They apologised but said they wouldn’t do anything until they received it. They tell me they still haven’t got it.
I’ve been looking at social media pages and am finding there are more people like me having serious issues with battery life, communications, poor customer service and some have said the replacements aren’t working either.
This product would be great and would definitely overtake other brands in the market, however if they don’t sort out the battery life, communications and customer service then it’s not worth spending the money. I really hope the company improves things as this product has the potential to be great.

Product looks great but delivery…

Product looks great but delivery service is poor and customer service is slow.
Ordered my Cambox V4 Pro on the 16th Nov on 24hr priority delivery and on the 23rd Nov I'm still waiting for it!!
They tell me that there was a warning about delayed delivery on the order page. Probably in very small print, as I didn't see it.
