Fantastic service
Fantastic service from start to finish. Easy to book in, kept up to date on the scheduled appointment, quick report. We had recently had a level 3 completed by a separate firm, the house purchase fell through and we booked for a level 2 to be done via Camsure. The level 2 contains far more detail than our level 3 report did. Images throughout with clear diagrams to show where they were talking about.

Third times a charm
Third time lucky with the property I'm currently buying, so this is my third time using Camsure for a homebuyers survey at level 2 or 3, and I can honestly say the service is flawless.
For the current property I formally requested Amanda Staveley who serves the Sevenoaks and surrounding areas, as she was of so much help with the prior 2 properties and using her advice helped us to make informed decisions earlier in the buying process.
No pushy sales quoting tactics like other companies, and an extremely competitive price with absolute professionalism.

When you live in another town and…
When you live in another town and appoint a company to carry out a survey on your behalf, you expect professionalism, diligence, and attention to detail. Sadly, Camsure were lacking in this regard and have now caused delays to our property purchase.
Very disappointed with the Level 3 survey carried out by them. Prior to the survey, we provided a detailed list of specific queries relating to the property. Receipt of these was acknowledged before the inspection took place. However, the final report failed to meaningfully address most of the points raised.
Most concerning was that a functioning utility/outbuilding containing a washing machine and dryer was referred to in the report simply as “storage room”, which genuinely makes me question whether parts of the property were properly inspected at all. It came across as lazy reporting.
When I later spoke with the surveyor by telephone, I was informed that our queries may have been “outside the scope” of their service, which I find completely absurd considering these concerns were raised and acknowledged well in advance of the inspection date. Had this been communicated earlier, we would simply have instructed an alternative survey provider.
Instead, we have been left with delays, additional costs, and the need to seek further professional advice elsewhere.
For what is marketed as a professional Level 3 survey, the service received fell well below expectations. We have now formally contacted the company seeking a resolution.
At present, this has been a complete waste of our time, money, and resources.

This matter has now been fully reviewed including the original report, your pre-submitted queries and the surveyor’s file information. We have responded in detail and issued an amended report that clearly addresses each of the points raised.
A number of the queries raised relate to proposed alterations and feasibility, which fall outside the scope of a RICS Level 3 Home Survey and would typically require input from specialists. However, we have still provided clear high level commentary to assist.
We can confirm the inspection was carried out in full, including internal inspection of the rear structure. While currently used for appliances, it is of basic single skin construction and is correctly described as an outbuilding based on its structure. The report reflects our professional findings based on the condition observed at the time.
The surveyor also attempted to contact you prior to the inspection and left a voicemail. They subsequently discussed these matters with you by telephone following the survey, including the scope of the report and the limitations in advising on proposed alterations.
We note similar feedback has been posted across a number of platforms prior to our investigation completed and response being provided. We trust our detailed written response and amended report now provide the full context.
