I applied on this site months ago, in september or october for a moved date in Nov of 2012. The majority of monving quotes i got feed back on came end of march, beginning of April 2013 long after i had already moved to my current location??? I ended up browsing the phone book for a moving company i had heard alot about in the past and was not happy with the over all experience. It was a moved from Calgary AB to a remote area on the west coast of BC....Overall the idea of a site like this is good, but it just doesnt work. 2 small men with big hearts in my experience not reliable, very clumsy, did not live up to expectations promised, I had been physically disabled they promised this help with packing n stuff, my old place was left a complete mess...would NOT recommend.....

The service Canada-movers.ca does what it is supposed to...that is, get you quotes. The problem is, it doesn't screen the companies that are quoting. I had, and am still having, an ongoing battle with the movers I chose to go with. It has been 3 weeks, since I booked the company, gave them a deposit and fought to have my furniture picked up on the day they said they would. I have yet to have it delivered to me at my new location, and do not have a delivery date yet. My furniture is out there somewhere, and I have no recourse. Several attempts to contact anyone at the company have left me completely frustrated. For your own peace of mind - DO NOT BOOK GREENLINE VAN LINES.

So handy having a website that finds moving companies with quotes for my move from Vancouver to Calgary. It saved me a lot of time and effort. Thanks.

Excellent source to get starting quotes. It was fast, direct and easy to understand.

I have spent the last week getting non stop quotes via email and phone calls. You should warn people about how many companies will get their personal information

I got phone calls very quickly! I didnt end up moving but i was connected with a lot of people and they had all the same info and tried to help gove me great prices!

It was a great site to request information. Once I got contacted, I only received 1 phone call and the rest were quotes submitted by the companies via email. The quotes received had more or less the same information to them which leads me to think that the site knows what to look for when asking for online information.

I recently visited this site after I decided to move from Alberta to Ontario. Almost as soon as I entered my information and required services, I received several emails containing estimates on my move. This eliminated a lot of the "leg work", from the information I was provided from Canada-Movers.ca, I was able to research the companies who submitted their quotes, which allowed me to make an informed decision! This site helped me a lot, it helped set me at ease, we all know moving can be extremely stressful!!

do you have more than one mover on your list?? i only got one answer ; and i would like to compare at least 5-6 movers and there credentials; thanks in case you be able to help me in this regard; kurt gulewicz

I was moving to the other side of Canada . And I didn't have a lot of money . I had a few things I just bought and wanted to know if it was worth bring those things with me or if I should just try and sell them and buy them again in the new place . So I ask for some quotes . I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was able to bring my stuff with me . They were so much cheaper then some of the other places I had called . And it was easy and quick to ask for the quotes . One of the movers called me and she was so nice and helpful on the phone . She help me in every way she could . If anyone is looking for the best quotes I would recommend this service . They are so much cheaper then going to any mover web site and asking just any one . I asked a couple of places and they told me 1350 . But I got the same service here and it only cost me 730 .

I am glad I madet this request of mine for a quote for a long distance move, because I got replies quickly.

I've received only one call and they offered me 350$ to move only one item. I decided to do it myself and nothing bad happened.

Dave was wonderful to deal with on the phone. I really felt like he put the customer first. They were flexible with the dates and very good at keeping in touch. The movers were also very professional to deal with. They wrapped all of my furnature and precious items with care. They quick and efficient with moving. Everything arrived safely, without any damage in a few days. They were wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone.

This made things streamline. It took the stress and workload off of my back. Beautiful.

This is the first time I am trying to relocate. I did not realize that is so easy and so fast in just few hours to find all the quotation from movers.ca.
The only thing that we may need to see the rating for different moving companies, so that we have some backgroud to compare it.

Hi, Was pleased with the number of guestimates that came back to me on response to my e-mail on canada-movers.ca.
However, I was somewhat confused by the extent of the vast variety of options which of course contributed to the rather extensive range of estimates!
We are moving an eleven room bungalow with finished basement that includes three bedrooms, apt. size piano, living room, rec. room and a med. size storage area. Our appliances are staying, other than the washer and dryer, which will be moved. Our garage has a freezer that is coming along, a metal work desk and a fair bit of gargage items like lawnmower, bikes and snowblower.
The estimates came in with price per tonnage, our house came in, by several different estimators who came to the house, at between 15,000lbs. to almost 20,000lbs. We were offered two trucks for a one day move, or one huge truck for a two day move, two, three or four men, with packing or we pack ourselves, A charge for wardrobe or free if we they are returned! Free packing or a charge! Estimates that came in four days later!
Having moved several times in the past we know what it takes to execute a proper move that would be less hectic on our part and trusted movers who behave as professionals by caring for our personal items.
The estimates themselves ranged from less than $1000 to over $8000!
We budgeted close to $4000 and picked a well recognized national mover who came in under that amount. Free boxes, even though they were previously used, but in good shape, was OK with us. Free wardrobe boxes and an agent who took complete responsibility for any and all queeries we might have concerning the move.
If anything, I might say that the three week process, from contacting your site to finally making up our minds was a bit wearisome, also contributing to my wifes anxiety situation!

Its a great service, instead of me having to dig on the web for moving companies this site does it. Of course I found the site by fluke and had already spent time :)

Only two movers give us a quote, but they were very polite and cheeper than others I called before on yellow pages
