Using this service created a lot of activity. I received many emails and a few phone calls. Most were respectful of my preference to be contacted through email. Some people may feel overwhelmed and I had to research online (reviews) to get a sense of the level of service certain companies would provide. I also followed up with phone calls. In the end I selected a local company that I contacted directly and which this service never generated a connection with. It didn't make sense for me to use a company located on the coasts when I was moving in the interior. I feel more comfortable dealing with a company which has an office in both the province I'm moving from as well as the one I'm moving to. Hopefully I'll be happy with my choice.

It took less then 24 hours to get 4 quotes, all except one were professional
and could offer flexible dates and times . I would use this service again.

The customer service sucked, the sub contractor movers tried to scam me an additional 150.00. I left 3-4 messages for Youlanne B asking her to call back she has yet to return my calls. It's pretty funny that wham Youlanne was looking for my business she would always pick up or return my call right away. However; the day of the move when the movers were 1 hr late, attempting to scam me an additional 150 dollars she would never pick up nor return my calls

This is a poorly run business STAY AWAY

This saves you a whole lot of time in terms of having to sit down and look up various companies, calling them and getting quotes. You just fill it out and instantly you get responses from various companies while you clean, de clutter, pack or tend to your daily chores. In other words, you can do better and more important things with your time when you have so little of it. Hands down, I recommend this to anyone who is moving. It eliminates one more stress and call.

This website was easy to use and gave very quick results. I wanted moving quotes and got 6 of them quickly. But it made me wonder about the kind of movers that sign up for this service, because all of them were quite inexpensive, and when I looked them up on customer rating websites and the BBB, all but one had quite poor ratings. One was quite good though, so I did find what I wanted. Canada-movers.ca did email me a couple of times to ask if I wanted more quotes, but I declined.

Excellent response rate by the moving companies and it feels like they are all taking my move as if it were their own family!!

While requesting quotes for our move I was happy with the fact that I could fill in my information once and receive 5 quotes from 5 different companies.

The quotes I received were very limited in information - therefore I ask for a comparison listing on some specific services ( furntiure blankets - picture boxes, liability insurance) NOT ONE of these companies had the professionalism to respond to my inquiry.

Needless to say I have sourced my own mover

Some companies offer free storage up to 5 weeks this is very convenient for out of province moving from Ontario to BC. Much cheaper than to get a rental moving truck and drive with own gas expenses.

I will recommand this company to anyone who is looking for the best company for moving...they are quit and really helpful, make me save a lot of time searching!!

I used Canada-movers for our recent move from Moncton-Halifax. The experience of entering your information once and having mutlitple moving companies get back with a quote was great!
We decided to go with Troy moving (referred through the process)..... HUGE mistake, not only did their final price come to almost 2.5 times the quoted price, but they are a very unprofessional company to deal with, and uses false advertising : "We will meet or beat any written reputable competitors quote!". This was false. We didn't know what the price would be until they weighed their truck and once we were given the price they wouldn't match the lower quote we had received.
This was our first time using movers instead of doing it ourselves, here are key points to consider if you plan to use these services : Get a quote from someone who visits your home (more accurate), get a detailed sheet of everything they bring, make sure they label your belongings, and that they use runners throughout your whole home to avoid scratching floors.

This service made it very easy to obtain quotes for moving. We were pleased with the quality of the quotes and the rapidity at which they were ontained.

We chose a mover based on friendly service and some one who could accommodate our wishes right away.

I would prefer having a detailed list of items sent to me to check off what I have in my home since no one is able to physically come our for a quote to my location. Since I am the customer and not an expert at wieghts and frieghts I believe having an accurate assement of what's in my home, you would then be able to provide me with a more accurate quote. I sent requests with the same information about what is required to 10 moving companies and had quotes from 2000 pds to 10000 pds that's thousands of dollars difference in price. Also, I would like a guaranteed quote that no more than 5-10% would ever be charged from the quote I recieve and that if the weight is less I pay less.
