Give credit where credit is due!

We had an issue with a Gazebo we purchased at Canadian Tire, London, ON. at the Hyde Park Store. We dealt with a young lady in customer service named Sienna. She was attentive, made phone calls to get us information we required, advised us to call the Gazebo company to discuss the issue, and supplied us with the info we needed to reach the necessary people. Sienna made sure her store Manager (Jaymie) was aware of the situation incase the Gazebo company called and she wasn't working. Within days, thanks to Sienna staying on top of things we had authorization to have new Gazebo replacement and because of her suggestion to contact the Gazebo company directly, we also had the old one removed and the new one installed. Thank you Sienna for all your help!

Canadian Tire did not want to honor a lifetime warranty and the manager was rude and aggressive

I’m writing this review with disappointment following my visit on March 17, 2026. At approximately 1:15 p.m., I came to the Bolton store to exchange a product that carried a lifetime warranty at the time of purchase. The customer service representative at the desk was courteous and made a genuine effort to help. However, when the acting store manager became involved, the interaction quickly turned unprofessional, and within minutes I was told I was “being difficult.” At that point, I ended the discussion, took my product, and left. Based on this experience, I do not plan to return to the Bolton location.
For context, I have been a long-time supporter of Canadian Tire and have often recommended it to others as a Canadian company. Canadian Tire has been a favourite store of mine since childhood—I even kept Canadian Tire money as a memento and later shared it with my children. When travelling for work or personal reasons, I regularly make a point of stopping in at local stores, and I have shopped at locations across Ontario and beyond, from Windsor to Ottawa to Timmins and Kenora.
To the new owner of the Bolton store: I understand you recently purchased this location and are based in Western Canada. I hope you will review the customer service culture at the store and ensure issues like this are addressed. My family and I have historically spent thousands of dollars per year at this store, but after this incident we will be taking our business elsewhere—even if it means driving an additional 25 km to another location. This will likely reduce how often we shop at Canadian Tire overall. After leaving the store that day, I purchased the supplies I needed at other Bolton retailers, spending hundreds of dollars, and I have since found another store willing to assist with my product issue. I have chosen not to name the manager here; if you wish to investigate, the store records will show who was on duty at that time.

Canadian Tire on Woodlawn road in…

Canadian Tire on Woodlawn road in Guelph. Shopping was successful. I was able to find the products I need, with help from a worker. And I found some items, I really did not need, but! The cashier was pleasant, and got assistance for me to put the fertilizer in my car. I am getting closer to my total points to buy anew BBQ.

Excellent customer service

I bought a Kitchen Aid stand mixer in september. Last week it stopped working. Took it to CT and they were super friendly and I walked home with a brand new one. Didn’t even took me 15 minutes. That’s what I call customer service! I go to the CT in Salmon Arm.

Cataraqui Kingston ON location

Cataraqui Kingston ON location. Had a horrible customer service experience a week ago. I immediately brought it to the attention of a manager who profusely apologized. I asked to have my issue escalated which I was promised to do so. No phone call, I had to call head office to contact the Cataraqui Canadian Tire for follow up. When the manager called, His tone was very disconcerning and disconnected. Like he could care less that I had an invasion of my privacy by two of his staff members in his store. Swept it under the rug.....nice way to make a customer feel

Poor product quality and disappointing customer service

I purchased moving boxes from the Canadian Tire location located in Buckingham, Gatineau. Of course, expecting them to do the one thing they are sold for: safely carry items during a move. Instead, several of the boxes failed because the handles tore while they were being carried under normal load. As a result, items fell and some were damaged.

I contacted customer service and provided photos of the defective handles as requested. After reviewing the file internally, the store refunded the cost of the boxes “as a courtesy,” but refused to take any responsibility for the damage caused by the failure of their product. I was told there was “no proof” the damage was related to the boxes even though the handles clearly ripped while being used exactly as intended.

What is most disappointing is what happened next: after this response, my follow-up messages were simply ignored.

This experience shows a complete lack of accountability for the quality of products being sold and an unwillingness to properly address legitimate customer concerns. When a product fails under normal use, customers should not have to fight just to be taken seriously.

Based on both the product quality and the customer service response, I would strongly recommend purchasing moving supplies elsewhere. Hello, Amazon!

This was one of the worst customer experiences I have had with Canadian Tire.

⭐☆☆☆☆

This was one of the worst customer experiences I have had with Canadian Tire.

I ordered three spa test strip bottles from Canadian Tire #348 in Sherbrooke and had them shipped to my home. Purolator would not leave the package at the door, forcing me to drive 56 km just to pick it up.

When I opened the package, I discovered that all three bottles were expired (expiry date 2024). These are water testing products, and selling expired chemical test strips is completely unacceptable.

Because of their mistake, I then had to drive another 56 km to the Canadian Tire in Granby to return them. The situation got even worse when the store initially refused the return because their system did not show the order as delivered. I had to insist just to get my refund for products that should never have been shipped in the first place.

So thanks to this order I wasted over 100 km of driving, fuel, and time just to deal with expired merchandise.

I try to support local retailers instead of buying from Amazon, but experiences like this make it clear why many customers don’t bother anymore. Shipping expired products and then making customers fight for a refund is completely unacceptable.

Canadian Tire needs to do much better than this.

The Canadian Tire store at 10031…

The Canadian Tire store at 10031 McLaughlin Raod in Brampton has to be the worst retail store in Ontario when it comes to employee service, talk about individuals that don’t care and have no clue about the departments they work in and it’s just not the every day employee my interaction was with the Store manager who I really don’t believe was the store manager but she said she was when I asked to speak to the store manager. The incompetence and lack of knowledge is running wild at this store and my advice to anyone thinking about visiting this store find another one close by. The store in Georgetown is outstanding and clean.

Never buy a battery from Canadian Tire

Never buy a battery from Canadian Tire. The battery I bought stopped working after only a year and some months. I'm always looking for someone to help me jump-start it. When I take it to them, they say my warranty is only one year and I have to buy a new one. No matter what, how can a battery last only one year? I don't understand how they can continue to deceive people by hiding behind the law.

Canadian Tire Canmore Automotive Department CANNOT BE TRUSTED

Canmore Automotive department is a SCAM! My wife went in with a screw in a tire and they made her wait around for a long time then offered no help. Their only response was to buy 4 new tires. I work in a shop but was not with her at the time and thought Canadian Tire could be trusted with such a simple task. BUT NO their response was poor at best. They gave her the tire back not on the rim, rim was damaged from the tool they use to get the tire off(rookie mistake) and the pressure sensor missing. So in conclusion Canadian Tire Canmore will LIE, CHEAT and STEAL from you if they can

Went to my local Brampton Canadian Tire…

Went to my local Brampton Canadian Tire store looking for possible purchase of new tires for my truck.
Was fortunate to meet Romil, service manager. He qualified what I was driving and then provided several options, from price point to quality.
Made the decision easy. They were able to install immediately with a wheel alignment. They also notice while doing the install a small issue with one of the brakes and resolved at the same time. 2 hours later I left totally satisfied with both the price and service.
We will return.
