Don’t buy “for living” brand Christmas Lights They keep burning out and have ruined two Christmas’s for me. A large corporation like this should not be selling such terrible quality items

Canadian Tire is a proudly Canadian Company, but it charges more than Home Depot which is an American company here is an example of the Garage door opener. “Chamberlain® B4613TC 3/4 HP Ultra Quiet
Garage Door Opener with Wi-Fi” at Home Depot is for $428.00 and OUR CANADIAN TIRE is selling the same for $529.99.
Thank you Canadian Tire for helping Canadians in current economic situation.
Manager called me an old f:ing bag
This is for Canadian Tire store Upper James Hamilton. Placed an order online and went to pick.up at the locker. Lately there's a sign at the order pick up doors to use main entrance. That entails walking to the main entrance, walking across the large store to the lockers and existing again through the main doors, a considerable hike for a 72 year old with a torn meniscus. This time I see the pick up doors are open. As I approach, an employee yells to use the main entrance despite being right at the open doors next to the lockers. I gave him the finger and some other man said did I give him the finger and I replied yes. He met me in and I ok input the code at the lockers and the man started mocking and harassing me. As I departed he called me an old f'ing bag. I went ho the customer service desk to report this and he came up behind me,denied saying it then smirked that he was the manager. His name is Ben H. I did file a complaint with their head office. Avoid this store. This is a horrendous way to treat customers and I have spent thousands at CT. I lost everything in a fire last year and I literally need to replace everything. I'll take my business elsewhere.
Junk
I owned a canadian tire battery charger for over 20 years. Their newest model didn't last me 3 months. Complete garbage. I encourage everyone to thrown their faulty junk into the largest window at their local store.
Once again, a great experience at London East CT auto
To the staff at the CT auto dept on Dundas St East, thank you so very much.
I am elderly and dont drive a lot so when my windshield wipers on the driver side wouldn't budge yesterday,( yes I thought I had cleaned out the ice), I called CT and took it in this morning.
They had it 10 minutes; turns out it was so packed with ice underneath they had to use a crowbar to remove it, and other than the diagnostic charge, there were no added fees.
I dont have to take my car in often, but when I do, this team is amazing. A huge thank you to Linda and all the guys. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄.
New store 00119 - Buyers Beware.
New store, terrible employees. I placed an order online for a sleigh for my mother in law.
I received my email stating my order could be picked up at the Customer Service counter after 12pm.
I went to the customer service counter where Linda was working. I have had multiple interactions with Linda before and am very disappointed and concerned about her behaviour and the behaviour of some crazed employee named James.
My husband is not accustomed to online shopping and he expected the order would be AT the counter for pickup. He stated the EMAIL lied about it being ready to which James immediately lost all his marbles and told us he wasn’t going to bring us our order and told us we had to leave. He laughed and told us “good luck getting a refund. You can’t get one and we won’t give you one, either”. He then called us “welfare junkies” and other derogatory names that were unprofessional and uncalled for. I absolutely responded that he was a small, ignorant man with obvious control issues.
I would NOT recommend this new location because it’s full of bad attitudes and small minded minions with entitlement complexes. James should really seek therapy. He and Linda have no place working directly with people or animals. They should be kept in the back where no one has to be subjected to their abuse for having conversations with a spouse. They think they’re the conversation police. But in reality, they’re just equal human being abusing their position to feel a false sense of entitlement.

All the products are garbage
On December 8th I bought two $50 strings of Holiday lights, Christmas lights, both of them did not work, at that same purchase. We also bought some light up decorations for the lawn, that also did not work or have correct parts, when I bought things back they would do nothing for me except return them. I would never shop here, or any of their sister companies. Sport Chek + party city. They should be ashamed of themselves to even put the word Canada in their title.
Disgraced
No nativity at Christmas.
I’m really disappointed that there was no nativity scenes displayed or available for sale. The store is filled with every other type of Christmas decoration except for Christ. No baby Jesus. Not a star. Not an angel. No holy family. No wise men. They did have a light up dinosaur because I guess nothing says Christmas like a light up dinosaur I guess. Their purchasing department should feel shame for these omissions. It was nice to see at the bottom of the receipt where they mention the return policy for “Christmas” decorations - that’s the only place I saw Christ at Canadian Tire today.
Buy a lollipop
I recently went Christmas shopping in Niagara Falls and decided to drive through Port Colborne, as Treasure Hunt often has great items. On my way home to Caledonia, I took the scenic route through Dunnville. When I saw the Canadian Tire there, I stopped in around 6:30 p.m. to ask whether they carried cut Christmas trees.
When I entered, the cashier was busy, so I looked for another associate since my wife and children were waiting in the car. I found an associate in the paint department who informed me that the store did not carry fresh cut Christmas trees and helpfully suggested a few other locations that might. On my way back toward the front, I briefly checked the oil additives—specifically Lucas products—and synthetic oil prices before leaving.
As I approached the exit without any purchases, three older women were near the front, one of whom seemed to know the associate. I mentioned that I had been looking for Christmas trees and that the store didn’t carry any. While I was walking out with my hands in my pockets, an associate suddenly asked me to show what I had in them. I was extremely taken aback by this request. I declined and explained that if there were any concerns, I was willing to wait for the police to arrive and handle the situation properly. I had no issue waiting and encouraged her to call. A woman who appeared to be a friend of the associate, and who was not in uniform, then told me I was being rude for suggesting police involvement and insisted that I comply. The entire interaction was surprising, uncomfortable, and felt highly inappropriate.
Unfortunately, this is not the only troubling experience I’ve had at a Canadian Tire location. At the Caledonia store, I once had a cashier open a clear, sealed bag containing bed sheets I was purchasing because she said it “felt heavy.” She then called over the manager on duty, and together they inspected the contents in front of other customers, only to find nothing wrong. The situation was embarrassing and upsetting for both me and my wife.
These experiences have left me very disappointed with the customer service and the manner in which situations are handled at these locations. I am grateful that we have other hardware store options available in Caledonia. Feel free to share my experiences at both locations.

Horrible Auto Service - never go there
I've been to the auto service at this Canadian Tire at Great Lakes and their charges are always insane but I have paid it to have the service. I understand needing to pay for service but they repaired my tire and supposedly fixed it but they did not. Then when I called them about it they wanted me to pay for an inspection so they can take a look and tell me if it was the same issue or not. Just a place that wants to grab money and overpriced. There is no such thing as customer service here.
Most Disorganized Auto Service Experience in Canada
Canadian Tire Auto Service at 40 Hebron Way, St. John's, NL needs serious process improvement. I booked an appointment two weeks in advance. After checking in on Friday, they said they could not honor it and told me to leave the vehicle. I handed the wheel lock directly to the supervisor.
On Saturday, they called saying they could not find the wheel lock. After 5 to 6 calls back and forth, they finally located it.
This was the most disorganized service experience I have had anywhere in Canada, and I service two vehicles nationwide. Total chaos. Customers should be careful when leaving their vehicle here.
Hacked again? NO MORE
Just had my loyalty account hacked despite changing my password after the last time Canadian tire was hacked.
I had 279.00 taken from my loyalty account. I live in Quebec and this hacker was from Brampton. I was told by a CT employee these thefts are frequent
Great security with CT. I am very careful with my accounts and this is my 2 time with CT. Time to quit them which I will do just as soon as I wait to get my money back. Unfortunately, I now have to wait 4-6 weeks while they investigate to make certain that this old man didn't steal his own money. Double times the victim.
As usual, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Customer survey ripoff
Customer survey ripoff. Gets your answers then go to “prize” page and it errors out. They are not giving anything out just ripping you off
FORCED TO CHANGE BRAKES WHEN THEY DIDN'T NEED IT
I had my truck checked when moving to Alberta. I had the brakes checked out be for leaving Kelowna and they told me my brakes were find. At the Sylvan Lake Canadian Tire they told me that I had to change my front breaks. 10,000 km I my truck will soon need new brakes. $700 garbage job. The same money I could have had lifetime brakes from a real brake shop.

I recently had an excellent experience with the customer service team. A particular interaction with the manager truly stood out. They were incredibly helpful and professional throughout our conversation. All my concerns were addressed with great care and attention. I felt genuinely valued as a customer. The manager went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. It's refreshing to encounter such a high level of service. I would highly recommend their support to anyone.

Tell me how a staff member at your store in Guelph in the auto section would ever allow a young lady that purchased four snow tires from this store to ever put these four tires by herself in the back of her car.
Why wouldn’t she be able to drive up to the bay doors? Instead he put them in a shopping cart and allow her to check out without any assistance.
I’m not calling this great customer service, plus called the manger of the store but no return call

Bought tires and new rims to be installed in Oliver B.C booked an appointment for them to be installed. Drove an hour to the store only to be told after we walked to town to have lunch through a phone call we can’t do we don’t have the tires you need! Well walked all the way back to the store got our money back and won’t buy from them ever again . You would think they would check to see if they were in stock before we drove down then switch backs in the snow from our home another hour to Oliver. NO! You POS company can’t you look at your bookings and tell us beforehand. So they said nothing to us not sorry should have a different system to coordinate with online bookings. What is wrong with customer service a Canadian company. We have been screwed enough with high prices and you can’t get your crap together! No more Canadian for us. We picked a day that wasn’t snowing to get this done if you are wondering. 🤔 thanks for nothing.
