BRUTAL PICKUP SERVICE WAIT TIMES
Went to Nanaimo to pick up one item I'd paid for online. Expected it to be at the service desk. NO! They sent a kid to the WAREHOUSE to fulfil the order. Total time spent 40 minutes. Are you kdding me!? Do not buy online! They take the $$ and you then have to wait for an employee to go get the product. Complete waste of time. Talk about DISorganization.

My 65 year old mother went into the Canadian tire, couldn't get help to get a tool box and the box fell hit ger on the head and not one employee even bothered helping
Customer Dissatisfaction
Several times during the past few years I shopped at the Canadian Tire Store at 250 Silver Linden Drive in Richmond Hill, ON and almost every time I had a negative experience. If you can find a staff member they have very limited product knowledge. Today when we visited a security guard refused us entry unless we put our reusable shopping bag in a cart and wheeled it around. The next incident may be refusing to permit customers to bring reuseable shopping bags into the store. This is not the way to run a business. As a shareholder of CTC I regard this lack of service as deplorable. A short distance away at The Home Depot the level of customer service is far superior.
No service- terrible
I was ready to spend money, and was going to purchase a Christmas inflatable, but had no assistants come show up after asking for help. Terrible service.
We are really disappointed from…
We are really disappointed from Canadian tire auto service center new minas because they fix wrong part in our Vehicle and break our car sensor and they create a new problem with ABS light like failure of break and book another appointment after 20 days to fix this problem but now we are not feel safe to drive our Vehicle with my family. We need this Vehicle to drop my little one at school and it's not safe. We are really disappointed even there behavior was very rude with us.
Beware of Vehicle Servicing
I just wanted to make you aware of a concern regarding our experience when we brought our car in to get fixed.
-It started with what looked like a leak coming from somewhere in the engine and dripping onto the garage floor.
-We took it into the service dept and the issue was deemed to be coolant fluid leaking from some source in the engine. Upon further review we were told the issue was the water pump which all in cost around $650.
-A day later we noticed the leak had not been fixed and we were told the issue was the main water pump which cost us $1400.
-A day later the car had what looked like a larger leak and we were told the issue was a hose.
-The leak all along looked very similar in that the issue was probably just the hose in the first place. It was nice of the service manager to allow that fix free of charge but we are talking about probably a $25 hose and a half hour of a technicians time.
-Not only did we pay $2000 for what was probably a minor fix but the issue of being without a car 3 times and all the issues around the logistic of getting to and from work, and the amount of time we spent dealing with this.
-Of course I am not a car technician and I can’t prove that the initial issues were actually issues. I wanted to make Cdn Tire aware of what happened especially for a company that prouds itself on great customer service and qualified car service. I can assure you that if I ever recommended CT for anything car related I would do so with a user beware caveat and would relay my story. Not a very glowing review for sure.
At the end we were just happy to get our car back. Not sure if this kind of feedback warrants any response other than just sweeping it under the table but I hope others that use CT don’t experience the same issues.
Canadian tire has changed the colors in…
Canadian tire has changed the colors in thier store to black and red... makes me feel like Im in a prison. I thought the colors were red and white with the store nicely laid out and not so bright you need sunglasses. I and alot of people I know will go elsewhere... it sucks cause the store had great people with great service.
At that time
At that time, I asked Canadian Tire to replace my brakes. After spending so much time there, they only agreed to do an inspection and charged me an inspection fee, saying that I didn’t need to replace anything. But I clearly told them that what I needed was a brake replacement.
Canadian Tire Center Mall (Hamilton)
Canadian Tire Center Mall (Hamilton) My wife (A Senior) had a flat and needed it fixed as she works in Toronto. Service would not fit her in to repair and said that they are all booked up. We always used Cdn Tire for our Service for more than 30 years a 20 minute $40.00 repair just cost Cdn Tire $2,000.00 as I had ordered tires and rims to be installed, NOT anymore I just cancelled them and will purchase elsewhere, also will take our business elsewhere after 30 years of service.
Here for you, as long as you don't owe us!
Customer for 30 years. Due to changing financial situation, missed a few payments. Sent file to collection agency threatening to go after my house. They don't care about Canadians or your situation. They are legal loan sharks.
I tried to cancel an appointment…
I tried to cancel an appointment online, but it doesn't work."Come back later" NO I don't think so! The excuse is that we have over 100 cars to deal with, and we are short-handed. It doesn't address the online problem, which would take pressure off the over 100 cars...When calling through the call centre because no one picks up the phone, the tone was dismissive and arrogant. If this is the attitude and behaviour that you condone, then it's time to go somewhere else. Why would anyone bother with this kind of service!
DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM CANADIAN TIRE
Well I guess I'm not alone, purchased a new set of Michelin tires from the Windsor Ontario store on Tecumseh Rd West store and had them installed at the same store, one week later one tire was leaking, no problem went back to have it looked at , they said no problem and no charge, they told me to come on the Sunday first come first served which was odd since I was a paying customer $2000.00 for the tires and extra warranty but I didn't mind. So I arrive Sunday to find a line of 12 people getting oil changes and what not so I thought they would get me in first since it was a warranty issue but NO.But I wait anyway in a waiting room for 2 hours while a car on a tow truck shows up and goes right in the garage, so I asked why they said the lady was in a rush , WHAT , OK AGAIN I wait patiently, the tech tells me I'm next , well guess what, I wasn't next they pull a car out and bring in another car now I'm LIVID so ask AGAIN, I thought I was next and they just look at me like I got three heads , so I say just give me my keys this is 2 and a half hours later and I say I won't ever buy tires here again and this is Canadian Tires representatives reply
OK SIR WE DON'T YOUR BUSINESS ANYWAY HAVE A GOOD DAY, so basically after they get your money your old news. The response is a direct indicator that these employees have no accountability to anyone even management because they were not worried about getting in trouble from their employer (Canadian Tire) for their behaviour, who talk's to their customers like that especially one who just spent 2000 dollars a week ago on faulty tires UNBELIEVABLE, My best advice to this matter would be NEVER SHOP AT CANADIAN TIRE AGAIN, I know I won't be after 40 years of loyalty UNBELIEVABLE.
pretty disappointed with…
pretty disappointed with CanadianTire.ca. Customer service was unhelpful, my order had issues, and the return process was way more frustrating than it needed to be. With all the delays and mixed communication, I can see why it's rated so low.
Why can I no longer pay my Canadian…
Why can I no longer pay my Canadian Tire credit card with CASH at a Canadian Tire store?
If this is not changed by March 2026, that's plenty of time to change your policy, I will cancel my card and NEVER buy from Canadian Tire again.
Time to change your policy. DO BETTER! CASH should be accepted for everything. I'm going to spread the word.
Canadian Tire - 7190 Morrison NF
Stopped in at the Canadian Tire in Niagara Falls - 7190 Morrison. Walking in that store was like a little wonderland. The store was set up perfectly, extremely clean and my experience was a positive one. If you are in the area make sure you stop in.
Canadian Tire Major Mackenzie Markham completely…
Canadian Tire major Mackenzie Markham completely wasted my time. I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment on November 14th for winter tires. I showed up early, yet my car didn’t get taken in until 11:30 a.m.
My wife also had an appointment, and unbelievably, her car wasn’t taken in until 1:00 p.m.
We ended up waiting five hours for something that should have been simple. This is absolutely unacceptable and shows a complete lack of organization and respect for customers’ time.
To make matters worse, they tried to charge me for an alignment on both cars. At no point did anyone ask if I wanted this service, and I certainly did not request it. This feels dishonest and unprofessional.
I also asked them to put the rims back on both vehicles. They only put the rims back on one car, then rushed me out before I had the chance to ask why the rims weren’t reinstalled on the second vehicle.
This location clearly does not care about appointments or customer service. I will never return to this Canadian Tire for any service again, and I strongly recommend others avoid it as well.
No warranty on sloppy job
I purchased a set of Michelin tires and I got them installed on my new alloy rims at Kanata store. The weights though started falling off, and when I reached out to them for re-balancing, I was told to leave my car for three days and also I will be charged for it. BTW I had a small leak in one of the tires, and guess what, there is no warranty on that too. Almost any tire place, small or big offers a free flat repair, balancing and tire rotation, but not this place. They don't have warranty on their sloppy tire installation either. One thing is sure, I will never ever buy tires from Canadian tire!
Bought Steel rims for new vehicle
Bought Steel rims for new vehicle. Told staff at Auto Parts that I had purchased a new vehicle and that I needed new rims. I told him the make and model of the vehicle and the tire size for the new tires I had ordered. I paid for the rims and went to my appointment to have my tires installed on the new rims and on my vehicle. I was informed that the rims I was given were the wrong size. Took them back and found out the correct rims were going to cost me $200 more. This after I asked the person I was dealing with if they were the same cost. He said that they were. Now I have to make a new appointment during heavy tire install season. Very disappointed.
I bougt a brand new snow blower
I bougt a brand new snow blower. took it in for service 2 times. IVE ACTUALLY NEVER USED IT IN 3 YEARS. WHAT A FUCT SNOW BLOWER BUY AN OLD HONDA OR ANYTHING ELESE THESE ARE FUCTING GARBAGE.
Winter tires misplacement
On April 2024 I used the Auto Centre at Canadian Tire — Montreal Maisonneuve (3025 Rue Sherbrooke Est) to remove my winter tires and install my regular tires. Your staff removed the winter tires, placed them in Canadian Tire plastic bags, and returned the sealed bags to me for storage. I stored those sealed bags in my garage.
When I returned to a different Canadian Tire store to reinstall those winter tires, the manager informed me one of the four tires did not belong to my set — the Maisonneuve branch had therefore mismatched or misplaced one of my tires. Despite multiple phone calls to the Maisonneuve store to resolve the error, I was not provided a remedy. On one call an employee refused to identify himself and, when I requested the supervisor’s name, made a comment in a racist tone about the manager “being from India” and that he “could not pronounce” the manager’s name. That comment is unprofessional and discriminatory.
This failure and the employee conduct have caused me significant inconvenience, risk to my safety, and loss of trust in your Auto Centre.
I am aware that this is not an isolated concern. Multiple public reviews and local postings about this exact location reference poor experiences with the Auto Centre and customer service at 3025 Rue Sherbrooke Est — including comments warning others to avoid the garage and describing unsatisfactory service — which suggests a pattern that your store needs to address.
Requested resolution (required):
1. Return the correct winter tire that originally belonged to my vehicle, or replace it with an equivalent tire (same brand/model/size and comparable wear/condition) at no cost to me.
2. A written description of corrective steps the store will implement to resolve the issue.
3. A written response addressing this complaint.
Please treat this as a formal complaint. I will visit the store on Monday Nov 10th 2025 to attempt resolution in person, but I insist that Corporate Customer Relations receive this written complaint and respond promptly. If I do not receive a satisfactory response I will escalate my complaint to Canadian Tire Corporate Customer Relations and to the Office de la protection du consommateur (Quebec) and consider posting full details on consumer review platforms.
