Our fifth booking with Canadream, so they must be doing it right for us. We booked online, but optimized our booking via email.
The pickup and return processes were handled swiftly and pleasantly. The staff were pleasant an efficient and gave us belief that they were really concerned that we should be able to make the most of our journey.

The SVC is just the right size for us: the slide-out bedding area gives a large comfortable bed without having to climb up into the overcab or climb over each other.

It's good to be able to complete the safety video in advance, as we like to be on the road as soon as we can.

Very nice staff. This time we were helped by Kathleen in Hallifax she was very helpful and sweet.

Vehicle was in good shape and we didn’t experience any issues. It was our first RV experience so nothing to compare with but the driving was easy and parking and hook up very straightforward. The staff were helpful and made the pickup and drop off very simple. Bed was comfortable but a challenge for a tall person to climb in and out over my partner. The canopy was permanently disabled due to a corporate policy decision which was unfortunate as we could have used it. Also missed having access to a bbq so no fancy meals. For a first time 10 day experience I would consider Canadream again.

Everything was clear and explained well through the whole process. Except for clarity on the awning. There was no communication on the awning being disabled during the booking and subsequent correspondence. We only saw that detail after picking up the RV and on the road.
I understand why CanaDream has this policy.
If this was clearly laid out during the booking and follow ups or even during the vehicle pickup process we would have taken a canopy with us

Perfect introduction and overall explanation of the RV. Super friendly, useful recommendations and everything in time, but still relaxed and not in a hurry. It was a totally good experience!

This year we rented for the 2nd time a RV in halifax and boy did they deliver! less than 16K in km's, one year old and in tip top shape. Service was as we were used to: fantastic. We did almost 3800km in Newfoundland without any problems. Our coffee maker broke down, so we bought a new one. The reimbursed us right away, no question asked. All infall a great experience and I would highly recommend. Thanx to the Halifax staff

Friendly & professional staff at pick up & drop-off. We loved the motorhome which was almost new (5000km)
Loved the slide-out which converted the m/h into a "Tardis"! It would be good if the kitchen kit was more generous with crockery as only 2 of each item. Had to buy a mug as one broke. The usb points were great for charging when not hooked up, fridge & freezer were excellent. Confortable big bed. Reversing camera was useless but then we always used a spotter behind. Lots of storage space. V useful being able to rent leveling blocks as previously we had to buy them & give them away after.
We would definitely use them again if in Canada.

Just remember, you got a free coffee maker, as the supplied one was not working so we bought one.

Great service for the location and explanation of the truck camper ! Truck camper had some small issues but nothing bad. It was 3 years old but feel like more 6-7. The only thing I didn’t like it was always the extra fees. Extra fees to pickup the camper depending on the hour and the same for return and 160$ for replace the fridge handle that broke down when travelling. But Halifax office have good people working there. Will recommend Canadream but check all the details before. For Newfoundland, it was an extra 750$, wish we seen before.

We did loved it, I had some issue, had the assurance, everything looks fine 👍

Perfect camper, clean and good beds, spacious refrigerator including a large separate freezer compartment. The cutlery was a bit sparse, 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 sets of cutlery, which means washing dishes often! Needed assistance on the road with the slide-out, perfectly helped. When we travel through Canada, we only want a Canadream. We'll be back Next year!

First of all, when I arrived to pick up the RV, it wasn’t the one that had rented. They gave me what they said was comparable to it. It did not have a pull-out which made it very uncomfortable for the second person to sleep as the overhead cabin did not accommodate a person who measured 6’1 feet. You might think this is silly, but I had been dreaming of renting a Canadream for well over two years and I was disappointed that it did not have your huge logo on the top front and rear of the RV.

Great experience, Canadream is highly recommended. From the booking and pre-pickup check-in to the friendly and support oriented staff at Halifax, and the easy return, everything was very well. We also liked the onboarding videos and the Q&A Trouble shooting guide for any issues we might run into during our trip.
One small comment is that the duvet was a bit musty, and we had to air it before using it for the first night.
But we had a great experience!

What we really liked:

The Van Camper we rented was very clean and the people we worked with at check in were very friendly. Everything seemed very organized.

Drop off went really well and we had the option for a late drop since we did have a bit of a wait on pick up.

What we didn't like:

1. We had to wait 2 1/2 hours before we were able to get on the road. We understood that things were challenging on that day and I understand that can happen, but I had to give them less one star for this. I think this is an area where having another vehicle available would be great, or at least some credit for the wait. We were jet lagged and we had to shop so we didn't get to our first campground until almost dark.

2. There were no rubber gloves, bucket, dust broom and only one individual toilet chemical in the camper. All these items were supposed to be in the vehicle.

3. We only received an extremely brief explanation of our camper and could not locate the privacy blinds for the back window until our trip was almost over. They were actually located in a small pocket that you can only see if you open the rear doors and look way up. Not the biggest problem as we had lots of very private sites, but the daylight did wake us up early

4. The heater and the hot water heater seemed problematic. The simple video explained how to run the Truma panel which seemed like it had a lot of options. We could only use the electrical settings as the gas settings did not seem to work for us. We called for assistance and this got things initially working on electricity, but we never called back to try and trouble shoot the gas settings, due to the amount of time it seemed to take the first time. Probably user error on our part, however, this is something that should be reviewed with the customer before leaving. We had watched the demonstration video and it did not offer much help.

So at the end of the day we gave them 3 stars, but they would still get my business again now that I know the things I need to double check. We had a great time on our visit to the Maritimes!

Staff at Halifax location were super friendly and went over and above to compensate for the delay picking up the van (delay caused by previous renter).
The deluxe camper van was in excellent condition and our vacation was problem free. We felt supported by the 24 hour help line (even though we didn’t need it). The whole process from booking to pick up and return was easy.

We rented the DVC and had a blast. The van size was perfect for my wife and I. We travelled across country from Halifax to Vancouver and was a pleasure to spend 3 weeks during our 7800kms journey. We had a few minor issues however these were dealt with promptly by Canadream. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

For context...this was my first time renting a camper van...for me and my 3 emerging adult sons. Barry and his staff returned calls ro answer questiosn i had in the days leading up to the pick up date. They were are very accomodating and clearly explained the check in and pick up process. I appreciated clarity of communication and follow up.
Loved the flexibility of the RV....Definitely going to do this again.
