Very enjoyable two weeks in our Super Van Camper, collected from Montreal. Staff were helpful and efficient and could not fault the quality of the vehicle and the cleanliness.
As a suggestion, it would be helpful if vehicles could be provided with a full tank of fuel and then returned with a full tank (usual procedure in car hire) which would take away the challenge of trying to ‘guess’ a quarter of a tank prior to return.

I have been to different countries like Iceland, Norway and Scotland and rented RV’s. There was always stress and dissappointment. This is the 3rd time i deal witn Canadream and there is NO stress, NO problems and excellent service. Love Canadream

The fuel gauge display error. I put gas 50 dollars more. Canadream not gave me back.

I was the first to use this RV, so I felt very privileged to have a brand new unit. Unfortunately the TV was either not plugged in or broken, so I was unable to use it as I could not access the plug behind the panelling. The reversing camera was so blurred it was useless. The power sockets and microwave did not work when running off battery or 15amp, this was also inconvenient as I was doing quite a bit of free camping.
I did create a hole in one of the roof extraction fan sky lights and the staff at the Halifax branch were amazing in getting me back on the road, but could also not fix the above issues.
The unit was lovely and clean on pick up, but the crockery and glasses bouncing around in the cupboards was a little alarming.

The whole process from booking to return of vehicle was seamless. The help line personnel were exceptional.

This is an excellent company to rent from. This was our 3rd rental (twice in Montreal and once in Halifax) and we've been very satisfied every time.

a) The vehicles we've gotten were never more than a year old and the last one was brand new. All have been extremely clean and come very well equipped. Basically everything works.

b) Your degree of satisfaction will be entirely dependent upon how carefully you read ALL of the rental information. DO NOT skip any of the material or you risk disappointment. READ EVERYTHING...AT LEAST TWICE. For example, we met a couple who had not read the sections on Northern Surcharges and places you are not allowed to drive to; they only found out about the charge at pickup and since it wasn't in their budget they had to shorten their travel itinerary. We also met someone who hadn't read about the charge for using the generator.

c) Read the operating instructions (available in PDF format on the website (they do give you a hard copy at pickup). Unless you specifically book a demo ($) at pickup you are basically on your own; you get no more instruction than when you rent a car. We've had CanaDream renters approach us on the road asking how things work.

d) Other tips: take the Platinum Plus plan and the insurance liability reduction plan. (Stuff happens out on the road).

e) Another tip: Unfortunately the electric cable for shore power is only about 10 meters; be aware that for some campsites, especially some provincial parks in Ontario, you almost need twice that length to reach the power post. We met a family that had to buy an extension cable.

f) More: The Ford truck used for the SVC is comfortable to drive but only has a very basic dashboard: it has a complicated Sony radio with no NAV. It had CarPlay but you need a USB cable.

g) Finally, in comparing notes with people driving CanaDreams and RVs from the "other" large rental company, we found CanaDream customers were more satisfied with their RVs. The "other" company's RVs were not as well equipped, were missing things or their service was lacking.

Despite calling the office twice to confirm that I would get a class C RV (when I booked it and when I called to confirm the rental), when I went to pick it up it was a class B van. If you read the fine print on the webpage it says they reserve the right to select the type of RV. It was way too small for our needs. In addition, I had a personal situation which required me to cut my trip short by a significant amount. That became evident later in the day when I picked up the rental. I called the office to see whether I could modify my reservation. I was told that the contract is firm and no modifications were permitted. The one positive thing I can say about the company is that the staff at the Montreal rental office were very friendly and helpful. The rental we did receive was clean and well maintained.

The handover was easy, quick and on time.
Peolple were kind. Special thanks to Manel - kind, helpfull and always a smile on her face.
Car was clean and well prepared.
We got equipment for four, means dishes and everything else for four - great.
The recommendation for the next supermarket Walmart was great and close tho rental station.
Important info for next clients: Your credit card will be fully charged for the caution (5000 CAD) by CanaDream. Reimbursement will take up to three days.
Hint for the Staff. Please check the locks of the outside compartment. We couldn't lock them by key and felt not very secure on a parking lot leaving our luggage unlocked.
Due to the rough roads the door unlocked while driving.
But overall a great experience.

We had great time with their spring oneway deal. Everything worked onboard RV, and had all we needed. We got linen option, cooking tools and plates option, and Nespresso option, which I recommend, especially if you like good expresso coffee. We should have ordered additional Nespresso pods, in addition to 20 that came with the machine rental. It was so good that we finished quick, and the pod may be a little hard to find on the road.
Would have been nice to have actual oven instead of microwave convection oven, but that’s just my personal preference. Toilet works great with ease. Shower booth is a bit small and hit elbows on all sides. Better use camp grounds’. Some of the glasses that came with were tall and rolled around while on the road, ended up broken, but there was no charge for it. It’d be better with some way of stopping them from rolling. I wish there was a bottle holder for wine and other liquid so the bottles can be stored standing. Refrigerator interior is not very suitable for vehicles, without smaller compartments. The vegetable drawer kept getting jammed with the door, but we got used to handling it.
Staff at check out and check in as well as on the phone for extension were all very friendly and helpful.
Overall, it was great experience and have no complaints. I’d do it again.

Disappointing pickup experience. Several included items (coffee maker, toaster, and lawn chairs) were missing. We had to drive back to retrieve them, resulting in extra mileage, lost time, and disruption to our trip and they cherg us for extra milage as well atvthe end .As a group of four, we also missed our pre-booked private boat and lost non-refundable tickets. We expected the RV to be fully prepared at pickup and a more appropriate resolution for the impact caused.

Great RV experience !! Second time we use their services. Really worth it !! Friendly staff. Good trucks to drive with !!

Car was ok, we did not experience any problems.
We would have preferred if the manual of the car was on board as the manuals of the appliances (all were missing and the Canadream book was not a help).

Dishes and cuttlery was short. We could have gotten additional pieces but we did not realize at the time of taking over the car. We expect that for a RV designed for 4 persons, the kitchen equipment is deliverd to suit 4 persons

We had small problems with the freshwater tank, but all other things worked very, very good and we were happy with the RV
The personals in the station in Montreal were very friendly and helped us in all things we asked
