Terrible service, and I'll never rent a property partnering with Canopy again. Fast customer service response but repeated mistakes made checking my documents and savings, they ask you to provide more proof of income than you have when getting a mortgage or a personal loan which is very odd. They make a lot of mistakes and their reference passport is so hard to fill out. After three weeks of solidly spending two or three hours a day on it it's finally sorted but ive never known such invasive referencing procedures. They also make decisions on your behalf about how much rent you can afford without asking anything about your outgoings. In my case they understimated what I could afford by £300. 1/10 would not reccoment anyone partner with this company or that anyone rents through a landlord using it.
It was easy to enter information and it provided solutions for what could not be provided.

The process was fairly painless and intuitive, however, the ID verification process failed numerous times with the app (iOS) and website crashing completely, forcing me to install the IDNow iOS app to complete the verification.
Katy in support was able to override the linear thinking of the AI so that we could fill in the passport using common sense on human problems that a computer could not compute. The linear thinking of the AI is lengthening the process raising stress levels and prolonging the outcome. Not helpful when moving.Katy was able to clarify and support us

I was very pleased with the way I was dealt with by Canopy, I had implicit direction on what was required along the way and the whole process was completed in a totally professional manner, I commend Erin for her knowledge of her job and dedication to carry out her tasks correctly with as little fuss as was necessary. Thank you.

The service I received from Zoheb was incredible. I was under time constraints with going on holiday and got confused with the downloads etc. He was so patient, professional and understanding. I spoke to him on several occasions and he couldn’t have been more helpful at all Would recommend Canopy purely through my dealings with Zoheb
I was applying to be guarantor for my daughter and was under great time constraints as was going on holiday the same day. I found some of the downloads difficult and confusing - I contacted customer support and spoke to Zoheb on several occasions, who was so so helpful- he was patient, knowledgeable, professional and understanding. I couldn’t have managed without his help and support. Thank you
Very cool, intuitive system, backed up by helpful staff who are easy to contact, patient, helpful and knowledgeable, as was Erin who was my point of contact
For a first time user of the Canopy Portal, for me it wasn't easy, in fact it was extremely frustrating. On behalf of my husband, over several days, I had many attempts - I found that the portal wasn't clear about the documents needed for proof of income and investment income, including bank statements for details of receipt. I couldn't work out how to use the Savings Section.
My original attempt only succeeded in putting in my husband's State Pension which wasn't enough at £470 a month for a rental of £1,500. Canopy didn't get in touch with my husband - it must have seemed strange that his State Pension was his only source of income.
Eventually I got through, on the telephone, to Erin and Becky who between them solved the problem by helping with the input of my husband's private pensions and income from his investments.
Immediately, his income/investment income and accompanying documents were verified, so now he is ready to go as a Guarantor!
A big thank you to Erin and Becky. It was great to speak to persons instead of using the Chat Line which didn't work for me.
The process of approval as a guarantor was relatively straightforward, easy to complete and quite quick.
