First time I’ve sold a car with C&C. My 1969 VW Dune Beach Buggy is very special and unique, hence C&C seemed to be the most appropriate place to sell.

The listing process was straight forward and once the listing was live it was easy to make changes, monitor viewings, message and so on.

Expect the usual wishful thinkers and chancers, but once you weed them out and focus on the genuine buyers, it’s a good experience.

Sold my buggy in 2 weeks.

This is not the first time I have sold a car through C and C and certainly will not be the last.
What remains a constant is the quality of the buyers and there shared enthusiasm for the cars on offer, I can honestly say that the folk who have bought from me have remained friends to this day!
Keep up the good work guys you have a unique site that's not challenged by anybody else.

I put my Audi RS4 B7 up for sale on a Tuesday, it had about 100 views over night, then the next day I noticed that Chris "Monkey" Harris, famous TV car personality, had linked my car to his Instagram account, and over the next few days i was getting over 1000 views daily, i had so many enquiries, agreed persons to visit and view the car and the car was sold by Saturday morning. Im sure that Chris Harris sold it for me by using it in his link. Thanks Chris.

Car sold after a couple of weeks to first person to view. The great thing is there were no spam emails trying to get me to buy and pay for a car history check, no messages saying “is this still available”, and no auctions being won and nobody turning up to pay and collect. Thanks!

I like the money escrow feature - saves tyre kickers and lowball offers at the door

I dislike the fee structure. When my car sold for £2600, (£250 enhanced auction fee plus minimum sale fee of £600+ VAT I ended up with £1630. Ie the effective cost of sticking in the auction was 37% of the sale cost. I would probably have done better on Ebay given these costs.

Car and Classic are a very professional outfit and my dealings with James Kijowski and Ian Macrae have been very satisfactory. However, the winning bidder for my vehicle was very difficult to contact and delayed his pick up of my car until the last possible moment which caused me various issues which I am only now getting resolved.

A great website, easy to list your vehicle. Mine sold effectively in 24 hours { guy took 3 days to come to inspect } and sold for full asking price with no discussion on price. Very happy and would recommend to anyone. Had a least 6 other enquiries so site obviously works.

My first time using Car & Classic as a private seller. Simple to use website providing free valuations and free adverts to sell your car, with options to pay for enhanced promotions. I went with the free option to start with.

Had people expressing interest on the first evening and it sold to a private buyer within 24-hours. Plus a garage offering a decent price if the first buyer didn't finalise - thankfully he did. So it couldn't have been a better selling experience really.

Both said they were impressed with the amount of detail I included in the advert rather than just brief highlights and the fact that any known faults / issues were highlighted - so I would recommend doing that.

Helpful & efficient

Being a petrol head and classic car enthusiast I have used C&C several times.
Its a great platform for putting a car in front of the correct people.
Very easy to use although one has to be wary of scammers as they are usually the first to approach and come in different guises.
