I drove 4 hours to go carcart from kent.

As soon I got into the car, the tyre pressure light came on, thought nothing of it, thought the system just hadn’t been reset from previous.

Before the 4 hour drive home, I pumped the tyres, filled up on fuel.

50miles into my 175 mile journey, the tyre pressure light came again. So I pull in to pump the tyre again, I had to stop at every fuelling station on my way home to pump the tyres constantly, my 4 hour drive turned into 7 hours.

Next day I took the car to a mechanic, he said the tyre and alloy had a gap as the sealant wasn’t done properly.

Then I had a problem with the boot seat, it didn’t work, so I had to argue with the customer service support team about getting them to cover the cost of a new seat with all the bits plus labour, eventually they paid for it to be fixed.

I’ve had the car 3 months and it’s been nothing but problems. Now the suspension is knocking and needs replacing and carcart are saying the won’t contribute towards fixing it unless I drive all the way 175miles to their dealership to get it fixed.

We were told that everything was ok with the car, that’s what the documents they gave us stated.

Do not get any car from here, if you do I recommend you take a mechanic with you and give the car a full check on everything.

PLEASE READ THE REAL REVIEWS!

BEWARE, the “100 point check” is fake, they sold me a car with 1 cracked alloy and 3 tires with massive chunks missing. So dangerous.

After their attempt of pressure tactics and negligence I took it to the financial ombudsman who ruled in my favour (3 months later i got my money back plus compensation for stress).

The Audi TT (GY65 LHZ) is back up for sale so DO NOT BUY IT!!

If they reply I will attach photos as proof!!!!! Or feel free to drop me a message. Stay very clear of these cowboys.

Never buy from here ⸻

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel people should know about my experience.

After previously having poor experiences within the motor trade, I was already cautious about buying a used vehicle. I had also read mixed reviews about Car Cart, but we decided to proceed and purchased an Audi A6 (66 plate) from them. The car looked great and although the mileage was slightly higher than I would usually choose, Jordan in sales reassured us that the 2-year warranty included with the vehicle would cover any major issues, which gave us confidence to go ahead with the purchase.

Within days of owning the car, the tyre pressure warning repeatedly appeared on the dashboard. When I had the tyres inspected, three out of the four tyres had nails in them. As tyres are considered wear and tear items, I chose not to raise this with the dealership and dealt with it myself.

However, just two days after purchasing the vehicle a gearbox fault warning appeared on the dashboard. I contacted Jordan who referred me to their garage, also called Car Cart. I was told the warning was likely just a wheel sensor issue and nothing serious, and that if we brought the car in they would resolve it. We did exactly that and were left under the impression the issue had been fixed.

A few months later the car began struggling to come out of first gear and became very jumpy when driving. After having the vehicle properly investigated, I was informed that the problem is a fault with the mechatronic unit within the gearbox.

Despite the vehicle being sold with a warranty that supposedly covers the gearbox, I have since been told that the mechatronic unit is not included, leaving me facing a very costly repair. This is particularly frustrating given that a gearbox warning had already appeared just two days after purchasing the vehicle.

From my perspective, this raises serious questions about whether the original fault was ever properly diagnosed.

Since raising this issue, I have struggled to receive any meaningful assistance from the dealership or their garage, which has been extremely disappointing given how quickly the initial problem appeared after purchase.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.
Poor aftersales support, questionable vehicle preparation, and a warranty that has ultimately provided no real protection when it mattered.

Buyers should make sure they fully understand exactly what is and is not covered before purchasing.

Avoid

Awful experience with this 'dealer'. Anyone looking to buy a car from carcart please take a professional with you to check over. The stock may look clean and up to scratch but in my case was hiding a multitude of problems and faults. Warranty and aftercare isn't worth the paper its printed on.

Thanks Steve and CarCart!

We sold our car through Carwow and it was then purchased by CarCart. The whole process was really easy and they collected very promptly a few days later. Steve who collected the car was a proper gentleman who clearly explained the process while collecting and less than 30 minutes later he was on his way. Thanks Steve 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

COWBOYS

I would not give carcart one star. Back of the engine oil leak not fix when the they told it was. Took the ford galaxy to my local ford dealership for another health and guess what still leaking meant have been fix under warranty. Stay well clear bunch of cowboys. Was even an extra three months warranty and now refusing to do the work. This not down to wear and tear.

I ordered 2 spark plugs received none!

I ordered 2 spark plugs, after 5 weeks I still had not received them, they said the shipper was looking into it, I said I still wanted them. But next email they said they had refunded me. Instead of trying to keep a customer happy they took the easy way out. I guess they couldn't give a damn!

This company is an absolute disgrace

This company is an absolute disgrace. My family purchased a car from them in October 2024, and within two weeks it became clear the vehicle was dangerously faulty. The engine was burning through oil at an alarming rate — we were topping it up with a full bottle of oil every 10-14 days. Within 31 days of purchase, The vehicle went to an independent garage after the engine light came on, and the diagnostic report revealed multiple issues requiring urgent attention, the most serious being the excessive oil consumption.
Two weeks later, we sought a second independent opinion, and the report came back that the engine was faulty and needed replacing. We notified CarCart, who insisted we deal directly with the “warranty company” Handler Protect. We contacted the warranty provider, Handler Protect, who refused any involvement. After doing my own research, I discovered that Handler Protect is not actually an insured warranty company at all — meaning we had effectively been sold a fake warranty package.
I sought advice from Citizens Advice, who confirmed that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, CarCart had an obligation to supply a vehicle that was fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. I also reported both CarCart and Handler Protect to Trading Standards for mis-selling an invalid warranty.
I sent a letter to Carcart detailing the events listed above who eventually agreed to take it in. It took 2-3 months before it went in. They initially refused to provide a courtesy car because they claimed they did not have one, and the car would only be with them for a short time. Their refusal created huge logistical problems for my sister who was using the car, who is recently separated and has 3 young children.
CarCart originally claimed the repair would be quick, but this was not the case. After finally accepting the car, they repeatedly provided updates confirming the same issues we had already identified independently.
Six weeks into this repair ordeal — still without a courtesy car, and with no repair progress and no real updates — we almost had to cancel our family holiday because we didn’t have the means of transport to go. At that point, we requested a full refund. At that point CarCart now offered a courtesy car after insisting for weeks that they did not have one. My sister collected it, but they did not provide any form of documentation for us to sign. No vehicle checks were made or signed for.
Finally, in November (over a year after purchase and over a year after the first issues appeared), CarCart informed us the vehicle was repaired and finally ready to collect. When my sister arrived with her three children, CarCart refused to hand over the keys unless she paid £600 for alleged damage to the courtesy car, completely baseless claims — damage they wouldn’t provide evidence for, despite our requests. My sister was stuck with her three children on their premises (and visibly upset) for over five hours while they withheld her car & demanded £600. I contacted the police and despite it being a civil case, suggested they could not without our property without providing evidence of their claimed damages. They finally released the keys at 6pm – 5 hours after my sister arrived.
Before collection, I received their report last week and the repair process was an absolute mess:
– They fitted a replacement turbocharger, which turned out to be faulty.
– They then installed another engine, which was also faulty.
– They sent the original engine to a specialist for a rebuild — it still came back defective.
– They replaced the throttle body, with no improvement.
– Eventually, another specialist found a fuel system issue, which finally resolved the fault.

CarCart are an absolute disgrace. I’ll be reporting them to trading standards for their despicable service & treatment, and again for mis-marketing and mis-selling a Warranty package that is simply not protected.

Really wish there was a 0 star review

Really wish there was a 0 star review. Where do I start with this. Car was left on near enough empty so could not test drive, not to mention they left sales rep on his own to deal with car lot. Had problems 1 week after purchase, tried to sort but ordered the wrong part. Then they did not do cam belt at when manufacturer says needs to be done so I went through the finance company and independent mechanic found another several problems which includes turbo charger. Now carcart are trying to dispute it all even though the car has been deemed unfit for purpose at point of sale. So now I can't drive the car and it has been sitting on my drive. Stay clear of this company they are not worth the hassle!! Compleat jokers and my mental health is in a condition where im having to take medication so thanks for that carcart!!!

Avoid avoid avoid !!!!

Avoid avoid avoid !!!!
I bought a Mercedes E220 convertible from this disgrace of a dealer . I was told full service history which it does not have . The roof is so thick with grime I’ve had it professionally cleaned 6 times . The roof was down when I collected it I should have put the roof up to check it . The wheels are a disgrace but I was told they’re fine . I wouldn’t mind but I said I will pay for them to be done if not . I have paid £420 to get it serviced that they said was done.which the filters were filthy and hardly any oil in it so the paperwork for that service is wrong. Plus the car read 410 days since a service which came up the day after I took it. . A few day later parking sensors aren’t working properly , passenger air scarf is not working . One key isn’t working which they say is the spare they don’t check it . I’ve asked for paperwork confirming which is the spare . Which is impossible the keys are identical . Over a month I’ve been trying to get a key . The salesman gave me paperwork for a different vehicle . He has told his complaints department he gave me the spare in envelope which is an absolute lie!! Apparently they put the spare in an envelope . It’s absolute rubbish!
This was a distance sale . He didn’t offer a test drive . Didn’t get off his bottom and take me to the car and go over it . So how he knows what key I used is beyond me .
The leather is filthy had Greece all over it . It’s got paint damage everywhere which I didn’t see as the sun was gleaming that day . Yet the advert states this car has been very well maintained. It’s absolute rubbish
Mercedes Benz confirmed that car has not been serviced by Mercedes Benz since 2020!! They told me today it has 9 main dealer services ! No a main dealer is Mercedes Benz not Joe blogs road the corner . Plus he gave me paperwork to say it’s been serviced before I took it . That’s not true either . Mercedes will not put a service plan on this car for me . They have point black refused to give me a second key as I’ve had 2 keys Which is not correct , working or not the key also has its blade missing so it is not a complete key . This is a keyless car so the key is £500.00 . I paid nearly £11000 for this car which obviously is not a lot of money to this disgrace of a co . I felt very uncomfortable at this dealership so unprofessional it’s not even funny . That’s probably why I didn’t check everything that I should have !
I had my car valued by 5 people over the last 6 weeks every one of them stated it only has half a history as it’s not been done by a main dealer . Mercedes . I don’t trust this car at all . And if anyone is thinking of dealing with this terrible co DONT!! If I could have given them no stars I would have . They state any problems in the first 6 months they will deal with it . Thats also rubbish .

AVOID AVOID AVOID READ ALL REVIEWS…

AVOID AVOID AVOID READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. I bought a NismoRS from these cowboys 2 weeks ago from the day I arrived I was met with no empathy or feelings of being a customer, The car was suffering with a few cosmetic age related item such as boot protectors (They were curling up and unstuck) i was told to go and buy some glue, and stick them down myself. Parcel shelf looks messed up and not attached correctly, was told to just cut some holes in it and fix it myself, the anti vibration stops in the bonnet needed adjusting I did that myself while I was there. This is where is gets worse. So driving home I go to turn the music up and the dial on the radio doesn't work, driving down the road I feel the car pulling to the right when I put the clutch in, and I notice that the steering wheel doesn't line up centre while driving in a straight line, I phone zuto and get it booked in to have the car rejected and this is all within around 10 days ( so I haven't even had the car 2 weeks nevermind 30 days.) I drive back down but as I go out to the car this time ive grabbed both keys and the set I tried to use doesn't open the car I tried using keyless entry O wait that drivers door keyless entry is broken, and I also find out the spare key either doesn't work or the battery is dead, so I use the good key and drive the car back nearly 5 hours to them. As I arrive im waiting for Jordan to speak to me and I overhear him with another customer telling them "they need to buy batteries for there key". I hand the vehicle back for them to inspect. Now today they have inspected the vehicle and aparently everything is fine because all the faults are purely cosmetic and wear and tear. They are saying that tracking could have gone at any time it's wear and tear. Radio control is wear and tear and because the steering controls work its fine. Also they didnt even write in there report about the keyless entry not working. Or the key being tested or fixed. They tried to say that i just changed my mind on this vehicle when even Zuto know ive been looking for a nismoRS for ages. All I heard from this company is that's wear and tear that's wear and tear STAY AWAY FROM THEM DO NOT TRUST THEM IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM do not use ur good faith and hope the reviews are from a few disgruntled customers they are not I wish I read them to start with. I won't stop fighting this is a joke.

I purchased a range rover evoque on…

I purchased a range rover evoque on 12th September. 3 days after purchase the engine light came on. i wanted to return the car but they made it near on impossible. The after sales team are some of the worst people i have ever tried to communicate an issue with. i agreed with them to have the car fixed and a courtesy vehicle was given to me. The courtesy car is a corsa which i cannot drive due to family commitments. my car was taken to there garage on 24th September, and every couple of days since i have had to ring for an update. Everytime i ring they said that they will call me back with an update, every time i had to ring myself for an update. The only good thing to come out of it was replacing my tyres, rear brake pads and the fuel guard. i am still awaiting for my car to be returned to me (the engine light had gone off and had to wait for it to reappear, this came back on Wednesday 1st October) They will have had my car 2 weeks on wednesday and i am still no closer to having it returned. honestly would not recommend this company, the after sales team are honestly shocking. i am paying for a car that i have driven for 3 days and am yet to recieve a reply about the compensation.

5* Service all round

5* Service before, during and after purchase

Visited Carcart for a car I’d booked a test drive on- didn’t buy it but bought another one from them off their forecourt…..great service during sales process and great after-service too fixing a couple of issues which cropped up post-sale. A really good place for a range of high quality and affordable cars….would highly recommend and will be my first stop next time I buy

Poor after sales

Gave a 3* because even though the sale was good, after wasn't.
Was relatively happy with my BMW. Though I've had a few issues since. 1st was when I went to have a towbar fitting. There was no crash bar behind the rear bumper nor the fixing bolts. That wasn't really their fault, but they immediately sent a crash bar to fit until I could reschedule the towbar fitting & I had to get the bolts myself.
Now, my stereo has began to pack in, I'm down to one speaker. I was given a gold 2 year warranty, but it doesn't cover the stereo, & after reaching out to Carcart, they aren't interested. After sales to me is pretty crap. I've just had to fork out nearly £450 on new breaks, discs etc which were on the advisory on MOT that came with the car, & now I've however much it'll cost to sort the stereo. Not happy, I don't recommend them for after sales nor will I use them again. Be careful too with so called gold warranty because with mine, if I need it, I'm expected to pay 50% towards parts & they'll only pay so much per hour for labour. That's not warranty in my opinion.

Cowboys who Insult my Intelligence

Here's the complaint email I sent today:

Yes I do want to complain, I completed all the paperwork honestly and sent all pictures over, from the moment your mechanic arrived I felt as if I was stepping back into the 80s, it was all "ooh look at this" (tiny scratch) and allegations when driving "OOH listen to the engine can you hear that, and you can hear the gearbox" NONSENSE!

Also walking round the vehicle alleging it would need panels repainting (more nonsense)

I don't take to kindly to being insulted and treated like an idiot, it should also be noted i wasn't born yesterday.

Before he even started giving me the spiel " well, I'll have to call the office, what would you negotiate to" I was ready to ask him to saddle up his horse and leave. I should charge you for my time.

Don't bother replying to this, I sold the car just now to webuyanycar.com for guess the price? Yes that's right, the price they quoted

I'll post you this up on Trustpilot, and leave you cowboys to crack on
