Finished all my titration forms was told I would be hearing from them between April-July it is now just so I emailed them asking when I would receive my appointment regarding my medication and was told it’s now August is the nearing appointment so that is 6 months on waiting list if you don’t have the staff to take on so may cases maybe hold of on diagnosing new people until you can keep up with titration demands this medication could help me in so many ways and it feels like I’m never going to receive my medication

started off great, now what?
I really felt seen and heard when I was first referred and had done my assessment. I originally went to my doctor with OCD symptoms and was asked to do an ADHD questionnaire, things did start to make sense once I received my diagnosis back in January. However, like other patients, I am really struggling waiting for the medication, I work in a detailed job and am desperate to have at least an update on where i'm at with the medication wait list, I feel like I could keep coping if I knew there was a deadline in sight. It is quite disappointing to see others diagnosed after myself getting the help and medication first.
Would also like to mention, first time I called careADHD I had such a lovely lady tell me I was due to be called end of June as I was near the top of the list, that never happened so I called again last week to be told that "I'd just have to wait"

Poor care
The only thing they seem to have delivered is taking my money for me to be assessed and to purchase medication. My medication isn’t quite right, and I cannot contact them for any changes submitted my request for shared Care agreement and nothing as a result of this I’ve also contacted my GP who cannot advise on medication as he is not a specialist all in all very frustrating and disappointing to say the least you can neve get through on the phone and quite often people don’t try to reply to emails. I have now got to consider moving to another clinic

Don't believe the hype and timescales, frustrating customer service and longer waits than advertised
Don't believe the hype! I chose Care ADHD to support my assessment and titration journey under a shared care agreement with my GP, based on its positive ratings and short wait time for assessment. I was positively diagnosed by the Care ADHD team in December 2025 and found the assessor really lovely and patient, I had probably downplayed some childhood symptons as assumed they were 'normal' and she helped me understand they were not. However, since then, the service has been very poor. We are now in July 2026 and I have still not undergone the first step towards titration as promised, nor been given any useful expectations of when this will happen. I even bought the Care ADHD app in the hope that it would provide strategies and help while I wait - nine days after purchasing it has still not been onboarded, which is contrary to the company's claim that it takes up to 48 hours. When I told the firm I was keen to switch to an alternative provider because of their poor service, they stated I would face longer delays as I'd be back to square one. That felt intimidatory. The company cites excess demand which I am sure is so, but in that case you should really stop taking on new patients until you deal with those of us already waiting. I left my Care ADHD assessment finally thinking I had the answers I have waited a lifetime to hear and that I was finally going to get the help I deserve. Instead, I am sat on hold once again for their terrible customer service, with jaunty music and a promise of a wait time of '21 minutes' which becomes 31 minutes ten minutes later. I have no idea if any other service would be better but this does not feel patient focussed.

Got diagnosed in December
Got diagnosed in December, filled out titration forms in February which is when I recieved them…. I’ve been waiting 5 months and haven’t heard a thing- yet what is frustrating is people diagnosed through right to choose in April have already started titration. The process is completely unfair.

Titration wait time woes - just don't bother!
Timeline for assessment through NHS Right To Choose only took a few months, and my assessor was extremely helpful. It's been good to gain some clarity through diagnosis, and I was very much looking forward to starting titration in a matter of weeks after this.
However, like many of the other patients on here, I have now been left in the dark by CARE's ever-increasing wait times, poor communication via template emails and the fact that they simply just aren't bothered about their patients. Reviews like this one will be covered up by "5 star" ones pretty quickly.
What was initially supposed to take 4 weeks has become 12, and now, as of recent, been moved up to SIX MONTHS. My symptoms have dramatically worsened and I, like many other people here, simply cannot put their life on hold during these ambiguous and unfair wait times. Any communication with them regarding this will be met with an extremely vague AI template, after a 2-3 week wait, of course.
At CARE's own suggestion I got my GP to email them and expedite the medication wait. Still nothing. My GP is starting to suggest other providers. I am now far outside of my expected timeline for meds and feel like a disproportionate number of RTC patients are slipping through the cracks of this seemingly random and purposefully deceptive system. It's unclear whether I'll get this call tomorrow or in a year from now! How can that be acceptable, especially considering the nature of ADHD symptoms?
If you just want an assessment I would have no problem reccomending CARE, but titration and post-diagnosis care have been absolutely appalling. Take the time to read other reviews, read forums like r/ADHDUK. I'm far from the only person experiencing this and won't be the last. I'm still eagerly awaiting the call, checking my contacts and emails multiple times a day. This is not what I thought I'd be doing when the initial experience with CARE was so good. You have been warned!

I was referred in November 2025 and…
I was referred in November 2025 and diagnosed by March 2026. This process was smooth and the support provided was extremely helpful. The assessment itself was extremely validating and I really appreciate how the assessor handled it all. Since then the pathway to medication has been really hard. I started this process in November with the hopes of starting medication by the time my end of year university exams started, they’re now over and I’m unsure if I’ll even be medicated by the time I start second year. I really struggle at university and experience severe depressive and anxiety symptoms. I was told originally that the wait for titration was around 8-12 weeks. However I’m now being told that it could be up to six months. I honestly wish this had been made clearer to me when I chose the practice as the false hope has really thrown me off and exacerbated some of my symptoms. I do understand that Care ADHD is under a lot of stress in terms of capacity however I likely would of chosen another practice if I knew this was the case.

Having your assessment then having to…
Having your assessment then having to wait 3 + months for your prescription is absolutely ridiculous. You know how much people struggle with this and to then make them wait longer, when we hate waiting is like torture. All we want is help. If you go private you can get the meds straight after assessment so the fact you can’t is pitiful.

Unfit for purpose
I was diagnosed with Combined ADHD through this company in December 25. At the time I was told the wait times for medication were “relatively quick, around 12 weeks”.
That isn’t the case at all. Six months on from my diagnosis and I have yet to recieve an appointment for titration. I have subsequently found out that the waitlist is six months long— from the date that you submit the relevant forms. And they keep changing their minds about how long you have to wait. The goalposts shift constantly. They don’t bother to respond to your message unless you file a complaint— and even then you only ever get empty, meaningless apologies from staff members who have made it very, very clear that if they don’t care.
The service is overwhelmed with NHS Right to Choose patients and they prioritising new referrals instead of clearing a hefty backlog. It’s a service that is no longer fit for purpose. I guess NHS money talks. That said, I suspect that if I had the money and been diagnosed privately, I’d already be on medication. They’re creating a two-tier system and it’s wrong. Avoid.
Edit: The apology poster in response to this feedback is literally copy and pasted. They’ve not bothered to reflect on what I’ve said, they’ve just given a standard generic answer. No teams are going to given feedback. Nothing is going to going to change. And I will still be waiting for my first appointment months from now. All you have to do is have a quick search of Reddit to find people abandoned by this company. Abysmal.

I recently completed my ADHD assessment…
I recently completed my ADHD assessment with Care ADHD, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. From my GP referral to receiving my final report, the entire process took just three weeks, which was far quicker than I ever expected.
I had my assessment on Thursday 25th, after completing an online questionnaire. The assessment was a one-hour video call, and by the end of the appointment Samson Ekeh was able to confirm my diagnosis of ADHD. Just three working days later, I received my comprehensive assessment report.
Samson Ekeh was exceptional throughout the assessment. He was empathetic, compassionate, professional, and made me feel completely at ease from the very beginning. He listened carefully without judgement, took the time to understand my lifelong experiences, and made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel comfortable and reassuring. I felt genuinely heard, understood, and supported throughout.
I am incredibly grateful to Samson Ekeh for his kindness, expertise, and support. Receiving my diagnosis has given me answers and clarity after many years of struggling.
I would highly recommend Care ADHD to anyone seeking an ADHD assessment. The whole process was efficient, straightforward, and significantly faster than waiting on the NHS. From referral to diagnosis and receiving my final report, everything was handled professionally and promptly.
