We hired a 4WD with a roof tent we didn't realise how basic the equipment would be and the bedding provided seemed a bit worn. In the end we didn't use the tent and opted to stay in lodges for the whole of our trip. However, the Hilux was a great vehicle for the rougher roads and had loads of space. Staff were friendly and explained how to use the vehicle and camping equipment. We suffered a theft on our last day in Windhoek and the manager was really helpful accompanying us to the police station and helping us make a report so overall we would strongly recommend this company.

Very nice people but car had problems: (1) refrigerator didn't work, (2) locks of canopy no good, and most importantly (3) at over 100 km/hr a REAR WHEEL CAME OFF, with a 1m piece of rear axle still attached: it could have killed me and my fellow passengers, the loose wheel crossed opposite traffic and would have killed people if it would have hit a car. Car started burning. During my life, I probably rented over 200-300 cars but I never experienced a dramatic accident like this, simply caused by bad technical maintenance. But nice people that immediately sent a replacement car.

We had no problems at all with this agency. Our travel agent booked it, so I'm not sure of the booking process, but everything else was quite easy. We had a ride from the airport, as well as back to our lodge the last night in Windhoek, which made all the difference! Thank you for excellent, thorough service.

Definitely a good experience, including pick-up to and from airport. Very reliable car, good explanations before departing, nice service.
Only one minor reservation re. camping gear (table and chairs), quite heavy, but all in all a very good experience.

N.B. : recent cars with drawers for the camping gear and other stuff is probably much more convenient than the option with canopy only.

It was perfect from arrival to departure, with help when it was necessary.

Price-wise their rates were one of the lowers I've found for the kind of car I needed (4x4 automatic). Dropped the car off with no problems.

Effective and fluent service

I rent a 4x4 hilux for 26 days and did 7350km around Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Car was also my home during all this trip. Camping material is not really new but enough for very good comfort. Transfert from airport, welcoming, assistance was high and good quality. As Travel agent, I recomend Value Car Rental as the best way to discover Namibia and around.

Have rented 4 cars with Value for longer periods each time (up to two months). Vehicles always in excellent condition and if anything goes wrong (it does if you rough it in the bush for such longer periods) the solution is always one phone call away. The car was in generally good condition and the price was quite low. A great value for money

We (retired American couple) rented from Value because of the low cost. We got a 4WD Toyota. It drove well, the AC was strong, and everything worked well with the vehicle. We also rented the pop open tent for the top and actually slept in it for 7 of the 14 nights. It was surprisingly comfortable. The camping package provided all the implements we needed for camping. Even though we were driving on the left side, it was no problem because there is hardly any traffic in Namibia. We especially enjoyed driving to the water holes in Etosha on our own.
