Slow & average quality however good resolution

Update: Since this review I was contacted by the company who offered a full refund. Fair play they didn’t have to do that, very kind of them.

Took 2 weeks for the mats to arrive and one of them had a line across the middle. Obviously didn’t get checked before shipping.

My new car mats are very good and fit…

My new car mats are very good and fit the boot perfectly. Good quality and durable. I ordered the additional carpeted mat too and the protector as I carry my golf clubs and trolley in it twice a week. So far, so good. I thought the price for all 3 items was very good too.

I ordered my mats from carmats4u as I understood they are manufactured in the UK. They took weeks to be delivered and when they arrived the packaging was poor as well as the mats they came from China, I haven't received my boot mat yet and understand this will be subsuted for a different type!! Refund requested and I will purchase elsewhere.

We're the UK's longest running car mat manufacturer that makes our mats right in the UK, to order just for our customers. We don't 'ship' from China. We're very proud to be one of the few UK manufacturers that have a telephone like you can contact us on 01754 613974 and of course email.

If you have ordered with us, our packaging is manufactured from recycled materials to help lower our carbon footprint. If indeed this was damaged on arrival, you would reach out to us and if any items were damaged, they would be replaced free of charge.

Ronseal (if you know you know)

I was told the boot liner would be made to order so knew it would take about a week to come, but I got emails keeping me up to date with progress. Wish I had bought one for my previous car before I moved bags of soil and compost! Fits perfect and boot contents do it side as much as they did on the carpet. Would recommend.

Slow delivery, poor packaging and poor quality.

Overall a disappointing service and poor quality product. No correspondence apart from the initial confirmation of the order. Delivery was painfully slow and arrived after 12 working days. I chased it up and surprisingly it got dispatched that day.
When the order arrived it was in plastic packaging which was torn at both ends and totally inadequate for the contents. The mats I ordered were of an acceptable standard but the boot liner was woeful. Flimsy and distorted. Certainly not worth the £40 I had paid for the liner. I contacted their support team with regards to my order and guess what? Nothing. Will never use again and certainly won’t be recommending them.

Very impressed

I used this company for car mats for our 2 Series and 3 series BMW really impressed, so ordered a boot too. Again everything went well and the quality of the product was very high, no hesitation in recommending this company and would definitely use again.

Eventually resolved

Absolute joke of a company. First of all sent the wrong shape boot mate. Phoned them up and started the return process. Any email sent takes at least a day and a half to get a reply. 5 emails sent and each replied to by a different person. Finally after a week, they sent a paper template to check on sizing which wasn't perfect but was acceptable. They have now sent the replacement mat which is to completely different measurements to the template. What was the point. I really don't understand all of the good reviews. Wish I had never bothered. Will be requesting a refund and if they dont agree will be raising a charge back with my bank. Avoid at all costs.
UPDATE - Laura contacted me via email and arranged for a full refund and also a replacement mat to be sent out. Received the mat this morning which now fits, so appreciate her help in getting this resolved. Quality of the boot mat is good, so only fair to increase the review score accordingly. Just a shame that it wasn't right in the first place.

Perfect fit

Just changed my car and was looking for some decent mats and came across these. It was easy to order and personalise your own mats, when they came they were lush, I was impressed with the quality so was the hubby! They fitted perfectly, no slipping I love them.

Excellent experience. I ordered a mat, within a couple days they emailed me to advise the mat was out of stock but that they could arrange for an alternative or provide a full refund. I chose an alternative product and they sent to to me. Brilliant service

Excellent service from this very efficient company.

Excellent service from this very efficient company. The ordering process via the Carmats4u website was easy and quick, with plenty of choice as to quality and trims. Despite only specifying the economy delivery, the mats arrived within a few days and I am impressed with the quality, fit and finish. I did contact the Carmats4u support team regarding another order and found them extremely helpful, quickly answering my query. I can thoroughly recommend Carmats4u and I will certainly use them again.

Ordered mats on 7th March now 17th…

Ordered mats on 7th March now 17th March and still in stage 2 Manufacturing.
So why the aggressive advertising for more customers when the ones you have are waiting for their items. Take the money straight away put into stage 2 maybe so people getting sick of waiting can not cancel as order is supposedly in manufacturing.

Looking at the internal tracking (www.carmats4u.com/track-my-order) I can see the order has been packed today and it will be out for delivery tomorrow (we already upgraded your delivery label to next day once it's dispatched).

As you ordered the Economy delivery, this typically takes around 7 working days and today is the 7th working day since it entered production. As delivery should take place tomorrow, it will be delivered one day later than expected.

We're really sorry for the small delay there. As we explain on our website, we're a proud UK manufacturer who makes every single set of car mats to order. We don't sell 'off the shelf' generic mats, in fact we give you more options than anyone else.

We also take great care in the work that we do and we take great pride in looking after our customers. This is why we're the only manufacturer of car mats where you can track your order internally, not just once it's dispatched.

As March has been much busier than we anticipated, we're had to work longer days to keep up with demand. Still waiting for my mats!! UPDATE!!

Ordered mats on the 6th of march and still not received now late on the 16th march . Weak response from company . I can see a few similar comments/complaints about this company .
Let’s Just hope that I receive them (Evri delivery 😬!) and their worth the wait .

Following my review yesterday, in fairness I received a response from the managing director this morning , along with my mats!! its taken 11days however they are of a good quality and fit very nicely. Thanks .
I would suggest better communication with customers in future.

Massive apologies first of all for the delay, you're absolutely right, we've fallen a little behind this Month so deliveries are taking a little longer than we predicted.

This is purely down to us making the car mats from scratch for each and every customer. We don't 'stock' car mats because we all you to customise every single element. This means, when order volumes are high, the process can take longer.

March is exceptionally busy for us and this year, whilst we did extend delivery times to 7 working days, some orders are just exceeding that. March is generally the busiest month of the year due to new car vehicle registrations being released.

The good news is, we're catching up and that's mainly because of the team working overtime in the evenings and weekends.

Great quality mats and great customer service

Last update - Ordered with Jack at 1330 on Tuesday and the mats arrived at 1430 the next day. I went for the Platinum which are incredibly good quality. Thick and plush and lovely leather stitching. They don’t fit exactly for a 2026 Model 3 but good enough that I’m happy with them (and I’m fussy). Great service and in the end definitely deserved the 5 star rating.

Update - What a credit Jack is to the company, quick response, answered all my questions. Confirmed what I wanted to and processed the order quickly.
I will absolutely change this review again to 5 stars on receiving the mats and I’ll update about the quality and fit.

- I have previously bought a couple of sets of mats from Carmats4u and never had an issue, however I am trying to buy a set, but the response to emails is terribly slow and doesn’t fill me with much hope for actually receiving the mats in a timely manner. I sent a query about the shape of the mats and was sent a template after a few days (great). I checked them with the original mats and they were slightly off but will work. I then since send a couple of emails about price and how to order and I’m still waiting. Sadly it’s pushing me to order from another company.

I wanted to confirm that our response times are 24 hours typically with 48 hours being possible during busy periods. We do however allow customers to call us on 01754 613974 9am to 5pm if you need a faster response.

Also, as per our contact form, we ask that you allow us time to respond to your email rather than emailing multiple times. This is because any new emails you send reset the time window to be responded by, effectively pushing your email further back in the queue. Poor fitting boot liner

The boot liner I received is a very poor fit. I have given 3 stars because the returns process was quick and easy after Carmats4u reached out following my one star review. Sadly the boot liner didn’t fit well and we had to return and purchase from somewhere else.

Good in the end

I bought a new (to me) car and it didn't come with any mats at all which for a 3 year old car from a main Toyota dealer surprised me!

So I looked around online for some custom mats to fit my car, knowing generic mats would be a terrible fit. I found Carmats4U and the price was not the best but they are a British business and I like to support Brits I placed an order and the email and order said delivery would be within 7 days. Great I thought...

7 days later and nothing. Only the acknowledgment of my order email. I looked around on their website and found a message hidden away that they are having delays so allow an extra 3 days. I did...

now 10 days after my order (working days) still nothing and my order 'status' was showing as "processing". So I rang them to query the order only to be told it had been packaged up that very morning... hmmm

The nice lady kindly sent me a screenshot confirming this and apologised for the delays and for me having to contact them. Low & behold I received my mats the following day, over 2 weeks after I placed the order which was not good at all, especially with all the rain we have had in Cornwall lol

But the mats are very good quality, they fit perfectly and I am very happy with them. Just beware they may take a lot longer to arrive than you expect.

I ordered a car mat and waited 7…

I ordered a car mat and waited 7 working days before chasing. I was advised via email that there had been a major production issue and that it would be sent out within 48 hours. The next day I received an email saying that the courier had lost it and that they could send me a better alternative at no extra cost. I heard nothing for 3 days and chased again only to be told that the alternative replacement would cost me more.
In the meantime I have ordered it from another supplier and it arrived before these clowns sorted out my refund. Should have gone with their competitors sooner. Avoid this company if you can.
