Absolutely Not Recommended – Stay Away from CarMoney

This was by far one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. I expected a finance broker to make buying a car easier, but CarMoney did exactly the opposite.

CarMoney disclosed that they were receiving commission for arranging my finance, yet despite acting as the broker, when a dispute arose over the administration fee with the dealership, I was left to deal with the dealer directly. Instead of resolving the issue on my behalf, I had to negotiate with the dealership myself and ultimately pay the administration fee to keep the purchase from falling through.

From the very beginning, the dealership made it clear that if CarMoney insisted on charging their administration fee, the deal should be cancelled. Instead of resolving the issue with the dealership before asking me to proceed, CarMoney continued pushing me to sign the finance agreement while the problem remained unresolved.

I completed all the required paperwork, ID verification and insurance, believing everything was in order. Only afterwards did I discover that the purchase was at risk because of the dispute between CarMoney and the dealership. I even had to send messages explaining that I would have to cancel the insurance and the entire purchase if the issue was not resolved.

Rather than taking ownership of the situation, CarMoney simply told me they had sent the funds to the dealership and that I should arrange everything directly with the dealer. I was left chasing the dealership for updates and trying to resolve a problem that should never have become my responsibility.

Buying a car should be an exciting experience, not a stressful one. Instead, CarMoney turned it into an exhausting and frustrating process, leaving me to sort out problems between themselves and the dealership while they had already received their commission for arranging the finance.

I will never use CarMoney again and I would not recommend them to anyone. If you’re considering using CarMoney, my advice is simple: look elsewhere. There are many finance brokers available, and based on my experience I cannot recommend CarMoney in any way. Save yourself the stress and use a company that supports its customers instead of leaving them to deal with issues on their own.

The process was easy and saved me time.
It’s easy to get different payments for different options I.e change in lease length and deposits.
The only reason I have 4 instead of 5 is that the phone line could be a bit clearer on some calls.

I was told there would be a charge of £290 admin fee charged by the dealers but its not in any invoice and I applied for a loan of 3795 where it was send to them (to carmoney) by the lender and they only send 3505 to the dealer and wanted me to pay £290 admin fee as they said the dealer was asking for it. Contacted the dealer and the dealer said they do not charge any admin fee and that in the finance contract that they are supposed to send the full amount to the dealer and the £290 just disappeared in thin air from carmoney and they expected me to pay the £290 to the dealer that they kept for themselves. I have 2 hours left before the car gets delivered to me and I cannot contact them at all.

I have found the company via Google search and from the beginning to the end they're amazing. Very helpful, attentive and quick. The whole process of helping me to get my finance was superb. I highly recommend them to anyone.
