Simply put, Carvana is a better way to buy a car. You can browse, finance, and purchase a car online and have it delivered to you as soon as the next day. Cutting out the dealerships translates to thousands of dollars in lower costs on every vehicle we sell. We pass these savings on to consumers in four ways: lower prices (our customers save $1,430 on average per purchase), premium cars, a better experience, and no hidden fees.

Easy steps. Agent Charles was very efficient, professional and organized. Online processing was straightforward and easy to follow. Pickup service was appreciated.

Fast quote. Great price. Great service.
Only issue was not being up front about $90.00 pickup charge.

Richard was fantastic to work with, he arrived on schedule and made the pickup process as smooth as could be.

We bought a car from Carvana. The car we chose was offered with "Free Shipping". We went through the buying process only to find a $560 "Delivery Fee" - so much for free shipping. We bought the car anyway. It was delivered earlier than expected. We opened the doors and it smelled terrible. We checked the tires and they had almost no tread left - this was a year old car with 30,000 miles on it. We complained to Carvana and they said we could exchange it - they refused to refund the shipping cost or offer truly free shipping on the exchange. The other option was to fix it within the warranty. We went to the tire store recommended by Carvana and they said the car was not safe to drive on those tires but they couldn't replace the tires because they didn't know how to do a warranty claim with Carvana. We decided to look at an exchange but it would be a car with higher mileage, was a year older and cost $1000 more.
We decided to use their 7 day "no questions asked" return policy. Of course, they had a ton of questions - but refused to recognize they sold us a car that was not safe to drive. They finally agreed to let us return the car and we agreed on a date and time - with a three hour pickup window. On the day of the pickup an hour into the window I called to check in and they said they weren't coming. They said they were going to come the next day. They didn't call to tell me - they just had me waiting around and expected me to do it again the next day. I didn't have a choice - I wanted my money back.
Overall, a terrible experience from a terrible company.
Update: I talked to customer service multiple times and spent several hours on the phone, on hold and in chats with Carvana. The response to this review from Carvana was reach out on social media so they can review my experience and assist. Huh? Where was this assistance during the hours I was told they couldn't do anything for me? Just pick up your defective car like you said you would! They won't refund the delivery fee or compensate me in any way for the trouble of delivering me an unsafe car - so what else is there to discuss? DM on social media? That's their solution of choice to communicate? Weird. You know my phone number and email - if you want to chat, reach out anytime.
Another update: They scheduled a three hour pickup window for July 30th. I got a call from the driver that he would be at my house in an hour. Two hours later - I contacted Carvana and they said the driver wasn't going to come pick up my car. They didn't call - they just rescheduled it for another day. They didn't ask if I was available, they didn't tell me they weren't coming. They just rescheduled it and I assume I will wait another full day. Worst company ever.

I'm writing this review before I pick up my car. The experience ordering a car with Carvana has been extremely infuriating. They don't tell you everything they need from you from the beginning, they tell you they need one thing, then they add 2 more, then they spring one more surprise at the end. They asked me for a copy of my insurance (as expected), then asked for a copy of the driver's license of my loan co-signer (weird, but understandable), then a picture of the front and back of the check of the loan from my bank as well as the tracking number (also understandable, but getting annoying that they keep adding more after the fact), then after everything has been verified they tell me the co-signer of the LOAN has to be at pickup with me? This will have taken 3 weeks to get the car, and I'm not even excited about getting it at this point, I just want the process to be over.
In addition to this, one of their support representatives ("Advocates") I talked to via the chatbot was nearly incompetent, asking me over 3 times to verify the name of the bank I got my loan from after having already given him the name AND link to their website.
Again, this review is unrelated to the quality of the car I'm getting, but the process of using Carvana has been an absolute slog. Don't use it, just go with a local dealer.

The process was simple and fast. Although I checked with three different online dealerships, their price was in the middle but only slightly higher than the lowest. I selected Carvana was they provided a pick-up service. However, there was a fee.

Literally gave me a nervous breakdown. I've had a 48-hour nightmare of complete incompetence on Carvana's part. They gave me the wrong legal procedures for transferring a trade title into my spouse's name, telling us we had to get a notarized form, which we did for a $30 fee. Then, when the car was brought to us, they said that they were wrong in interpreting Louisiana law, and that a spouse cannot give a POA to approve a trade-in. They gave me the option of not trading in our car, but our note would increase by $40, or cancel the purchase and repurchase it in my name alone and delaying my car delivery by 5 days leaving us without transportation to work because you must show proof of insurance in the new car being delivered; the our trade in car is sitting in our driveway UNINSURED, and Carvana drrove our new car to TX and they would not deliver it back till four days later. A complete nightmare, hassle, and time out from work, losing income.

This is the second car that I sold to Carvana. It is a very simple process and I felt that the price agreed to was very fair.
The vehicle pickup also went well. I would definitely recommend using Carvana if you need to sell your car.

I had a wonderful experience! The price was set, so no need to haggle. The online offer matched the amount I received. Setting up the pickup was a breeze—just hand the keys to the driver, answer a few questions, and e-sign a few papers. In no time, my check was in my hand, and the loan was paid within 5 business days. I’d definitely recommend it, even if you’re just getting a quote.

The experience was amazing. Carvana handled everything from transfer of payment to the pickup of my vehicle. It’s rare to find a company that lives up to every promise.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Carvana. The biggest issue was the lack of consistent communication and the conflicting information I received throughout the process.
Before my scheduled pickup, I specifically asked multiple times whether my co-signer needed to be physically present since I was not financing through Carvana. I was repeatedly reassured that they did not need to be there in person. Based on that information, I made arrangements, changed my schedule, completed the necessary steps, and coordinated everything with my financing company.
Then, on the day I was supposed to receive the vehicle, I was told by the person handling my pickup that my co-signer had to be physically present. I was extremely frustrated because this was the exact question I had been asking beforehand, and no one had provided me with that information despite multiple opportunities to do so.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that after everything fell through, I was told that my deposit and the money I had paid out of pocket would take another 10–15 days to be returned. After already spending so much time arranging financing, changing plans, and preparing to receive the vehicle, having to wait that long to access my own money created another unnecessary inconvenience and delayed my ability to move forward with purchasing another vehicle.
The most disappointing part was feeling like my time, effort, and money were tied up because of a communication failure within Carvana. I understand that policies exist, but customers should be given accurate information from the beginning so they can make informed decisions and avoid situations like this.
I hope Carvana improves communication between their teams so future customers are not put through the same experience.

It was a very easy online process, and your driver/representative was very nice and explained the process on the day of pickup. The price was better than CarMax and a local car dealer. Check was given as soon as the vehicle checked out. Have I recommended Carvana to friends? Yes, I have. Would I use Carvana again? Yes, I would.

I was initially hesitant to sell to a carvana like dealer, but the experience was super easy. I booked my own appointment that worked to my schedule. The pickup process probably took no more than half an hour, and the driver was super friendly and professional. I would definitely go through carvana again in the future to sell a vehicle

Update 9/9/2026
Completely unacceptable.
I traded my vehicle to Carvana on July 12, 2026, and Carvana took legal possession that day. Yet they failed to properly process the transfer, leaving the vehicle registered in my name and resulting in $175 in Pennsylvania Turnpike charges on July 30, 18 days after Carvana had legal possession.
This is Carvana’s responsibility, not mine. Their failure has created a legal and financial issue that I am now being forced to resolve.
Carvana needs to correct this immediately, assume responsibility for these charges, and provide written confirmation that I have no liability for anything incurred after July 12.

Avoid Carvana.
This was one of the worst car-buying experiences I have had.
The vehicle arrived filthy, missing the original mats, and with cheap replacements that did not fit. Despite Carvana’s advertised 150-point inspection, it had obvious undisclosed cosmetic damage, including paint issues, buff marks, and stained wheel guards. I was told the driver had already filed approved claims for these issues, but that was false. After the driver left, I noticed a cloudy passenger window. Carvana denied the claim, saying it was not a safety issue and had passed inspection. I later learned the window problem was caused by paint overspray from a poor repair.
An independent mechanic and former body shop owner inspected the car and found signs of a poorly repaired accident, inconsistent paint, cheap replacement parts, and hidden cosmetic damage. He estimated at least $7,000 in repairs and told me to return it.
The return process was just as bad. Carvana canceled my pickup without notice, failed to provide written confirmation, sent a tow truck unannounced at midnight, and later sent another driver for a car that had already been collected. It took days and multiple escalations to close my account.
The customer service reps were polite, but the inspection, quality control, and communication were unacceptable.
I do not understand how this vehicle passed a 150-point inspection. I returned it before being stuck with a car that had major undisclosed damage.
I never write bad reviews. But if this review saves even one person from the nightmare I experienced, and continue to read from others, it was worth reviewing. I would not recommend Carvana.

At 10am Friday, I had set my car to be delivered, paying a good amount more than if I were to pick it up, so I could get my car Saturday…. I received a call at 8am Saturday saying I had to finish verifying information and do a three-way call with my bank to verify my last two work deposits. (Even the lady with the bank said “strange”) Of course, I had to wait until Monday now to verify this information because I couldn’t have been informed anytime after 10am Friday about this while it was still business hours. First thing Monday morning I called as soon as the bank was open and set for a pickup Wednesday at 9 am. Already frustrated by the four day delay I just was happy when I ended the phone call with “as long as I am all good to get my car” and was told I was all good to get my car Wednesday. Now Tuesday morning I receive a message that my car has been delayed until Friday. I called Carvana and wanted an explanation and was told the title was misplaced. I politely expressed my frustration asking for any kind of compensation or for them to deliver it to me at no extra cost. I have received nothing but apologies on every phone call sense Saturday and nothing to show but thousands of dollar taken out of my bank account.

I recently sold my 2023 Toyota Prius Prime to Carvana, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, the process was incredibly seamless and straightforward. The online offer was fair and easy to understand, and scheduling the pickup was quick and convenient.
What really stood out was how smooth everything felt—there was no pressure, no hidden surprises, and no unnecessary back-and-forth. The pickup process was just as easy, and the representative was professional and efficient. I was honestly surprised at how stress-free selling a car could be.
Overall, Carvana made what is usually a time-consuming and complicated process feel effortless. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to sell their vehicle quickly and without hassle.

This was my first time ever selling a car to ANYONE and Carvana made it seem effortless, without any pressure, including a good offer for my car. My only disappointment was them charging me over $300 for the pickup of my car because the location where they wanted me to drive to for the drop off was a bit too far distance-wise. But overall, it was a very good experience and I'll use them again in the future if I'm ever selling again.
