I have had CashApp for a few years but not no more
I have had CashApp for a few years. Never used it. Occasionally someone wants to send me money so I use it for that. I decided to try it out and sent money to it from my bank account. I sent $50 and it went thru pretty fast. Then I got a $3.00 service charge. Never gonna do that ever again. Once I use up the $50, I'm gonna get rid of it.

Trashy company. They rejected my income tax return check and closed my account and refused to tell me why or let me speak to a supervisor and I've been banking with them for 5-6 years. Run!!! Hotels and car rental companies do not accept them as a form of payment for a reason. Customer service reps not in the u.s. and they will refuse to escalate a call

Targeting only me not allowing me to change my profile last name
Update - you see, they can't even understand English. I already stated exactly what the problem is, and all they want to do is waste my time.
This is what they did last time and all they did was refuse to let me change my profile last name.
They get paid to waste our time, I do NOT get paid to waste my time.

They are targeting me by not allowing me to change my profile last name when everyone else can edit it. I just spoke to someone else who can change his with no problem. It's not greyed out. Same with someone else I spoke to early today. He said he's able to change it too.
Twice I've contacted them and twice they have just copied generic text and won't help. And they treat me as if I'm some scammer just because I don't want the entire world to see my full name. So they are a dangerous company if they force you to divulge your last name to strangers who are kind and giving you money.
The first time they closed down ticket when I wasn't even done talking and that was a supervisor.
Second time the same lies that I can't change it AND they REFUSE to explain why others are allowed to and I'm not.
Why am I being targeted???

Everything was super simple and in terms that were easy to understand, instead of a bunch of legal or financial jargon that I don’t understand. It was a smooth process that was quick and straightforward. I’ve been using CashApp for several years since the app first became popular when it was launched, and I’ve never had any problems with them. If something arose that was questionable, CashApp was prompt and direct about resolving anything that came up and has always ensured that my money is in safe hands. I wish they were considered a “real” bank and accepted on platforms like Plaid for connecting banking and savings account information, because I’ve used CashApp as my main banking system for many years. They have always been fantastic, simple to understand, offer great services and bonuses, and I can even create & manage an account for my child to help teach him about money management and make sure he has what he needs when I’m not around, like if he’s short on lunch money or needs money for dinners or movies with friends. It has made sending and receiving payments to/from anyone who uses CashApp a total breeze, and it keeps a full record of all transactions both incoming and outgoing, and you can get an actual bank statement type of document for every month like you can a regular bank. It’s overall extremely convenient and secure (they have two-factor authentication and other ways of protecting your account and all of your personal information which is very important to me) and I wish it was accepted as a “real” banking institution instead of a prepaid card. I’m able to have my paycheck direct deposited and even file my taxes through CashApp, which I have never had any problems or breaches and has always been confidential and very easy to understand with a smooth and clear process. Plus now if you earn what they call “Green Status” then you’re eligible for even more benefits like cash advances and more cash-back options and percentages. It’s fantastic and I highly recommend it to everyone. And no, I wasn’t paid or rewarded in any way for this review, I’m doing it because I want to and in hopes that it will help push for CashApp to be more accepted among services like Plaid and other platforms used to connect banking information for financial services. This is my every day, real life, serious banking service and I want to stand up and fight for CashApp to be accepted across all platforms. I’ve been using CashApp since around 2013, it’s now 2026, get with the times, people!!
