There are a few dodgy gambling sites out there, but Netbet are one of the "good guys"

⭐ **1/5 — STAY AWAY FROM NETBET**
My experience with NetBet has been absolutely disgraceful. I have never dealt with a company that made withdrawing my own money feel so intrusive and unnecessarily complicated.
Taking your money is easy. Apparently, they don't need extensive personal information when you're depositing it. But the moment you want to **withdraw your own money**, suddenly you are subjected to an interrogation and asked to provide an enormous amount of highly sensitive personal and financial information.
They wanted **bank details, bank statements and information from my transaction history**. What makes this particularly concerning is that the transaction history contains information that has absolutely nothing to do with gambling. It can reveal who you pay, where you shop, what services you use and details about your private financial life.
And it doesn't stop there.
In my experience, if you receive **benefits**, you can also be questioned about what benefits you receive and asked very personal questions about your financial circumstances and even my health. The questioning felt as though I was dealing with **DWP or HMRC or GP **, rather than a gambling company.
There is a massive difference between legitimate identity/financial verification and making customers feel as though they have to hand over their entire private financial life just to access their own money.
**They were happy to take my money without asking for all of this. But when I wanted to withdraw it, suddenly they wanted to know everything.**
That is an absolutely ridiculous double standard.
I understand that gambling operators have regulatory and anti-money-laundering obligations. But from my experience, the level of information being requested felt **excessive, invasive and completely disproportionate**. It has left me seriously questioning what information is being collected, why it is needed, how it is being used, who has access to it and how long it will be retained.
I have now submitted a **Subject Access Request** to find out exactly what personal information NetBet holds about me. I have also requested the **deletion of any documentation and personal information they are not legally required to retain**.
I want to see exactly what information they have collected, what they have done with it and what they believe they are entitled to retain.
**I have completely lost trust in this company.**
My advice is simple:
### 🚨 STAY AWAY FROM NETBET. 🚨
Think very carefully before giving this company your money and, more importantly, before handing over highly sensitive personal and financial information.
I will be following up with NetBet regarding my Subject Access Request and my request for the deletion of anything they are not legally required to keep.
**PART 2 WILL FOLLOW.**
Once I receive their response, I will update this review with what information they actually hold about me, what they agree to delete and what they claim they are legally entitled to retain.
I intend to repost/share this review and update it so that **more potential customers can see my experience before deciding whether they want anything to do with this company.**
For me, this has gone far beyond a frustrating withdrawal process. **It has completely destroyed my confidence in NetBet.**
I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
**Take your money elsewhere.**

Unbelievable how these crooks operate and actually get away with it but unfortunately this industry is rotten and the so called governing bodies do nothing as they get paid to turn a blind eye to all this corruption. I suggest you never use this site and tell everyone you know to stay well away that's the only way we can put a stop to this disease and these parasites that cause it..

Total scam artists steer clear of them at all costs they are just out to take your money then close your account to stop you from getting it back..

Absolutely trash site you never win anything on here and every day for the last 6 weeks I’ve played the daily wheel spin and every single time it’s been “no prize” for 6 weeks solid absolute fix lol don’t waste your money on this site lol

After reading reviews on here I finally thought I'd found a decent bookmaker but alias unfortunately not these guys are just as corrupt as the rest of these conartists.. they take thousands of your money no questions asked and then randomly out of the blue decide you cant actually afford to play any longer and then restrict your account to make it totally useless after building up their loyalty points to start actually receiving some good bonuses. Do they seriously think we would send these eastern european criminals all our bank statements and sensitive financial information.. they must be mad as well as corrupt!!!
** So as you can see Netbet have replied with the same old garbage as usual they invite me to get in touch with them so they can do absolutely nothing about the situation all they are is a bunch of conartists trying to rip you off by any means available and they do a grand job they really do..

Be careful – serious concerns with safer gambling, payment checks, and blocked communication
NetBet closed my account because I was previously excluded. They later claimed there was an “identity mismatch” between the registration name and the cardholder name. Despite this, NetBet still accepted £3,500 in deposits. I was the cardholder, but the name on the card did not match the account registration name. If NetBet genuinely believed there was a mismatch, the payments should never have been taken, and the account should have been blocked at registration using core identifiers such as name, date of birth, exclusion status and cardholder name.
Instead, NetBet allowed the account to open, allowed deposits to be made, and only blocked the account afterwards — a sequence that raises serious concerns about safer‑gambling controls and basic system integrity. They then accused me of “circumvention”, despite the fact they processed the mismatched payments themselves.
I repeatedly told support that the issues I raised — exclusion, identity mismatch, payment acceptance, and regulatory questions — must be answered by compliance, not customer support, because these fall under LCCP requirements. Instead of escalating as required, NetBet blocked my emails entirely, routing them into a catch‑all mailbox so compliance and senior management could not receive them. I had to send from a different email address to reach those teams, and even then, senior management and compliance refused to answer. The complete lack of response and failure to provide a functioning complaints channel is, in my experience, not consistent with the standards expected under UKGC licence conditions.
Update – responding to NetBet’s Trustpilot reply line by line
NetBet wrote:
“We operate in accordance with regulatory requirements.”
My experience shows the opposite. They accepted £3,500 in deposits under details they now claim were mismatched, then blamed me for it. If they believed the identity was wrong, the payments should never have been taken, and the account should have been blocked immediately using core identifiers. Allowing deposits first and blocking afterwards is not what I would expect from a UK‑licensed operator.
They wrote:
“We’d welcome the opportunity to review the full history.”
They already had the full history. They refused to respond to it. They blocked the communication channels needed to review it.
They wrote:
“Please contact our support team.”
I already did — repeatedly. My emails were blocked and routed into a catch‑all mailbox, meaning support, compliance and management never received them. This included compliance, which is particularly concerning given the nature of the issues raised.
They wrote:
“We appreciate your concerns.”
But they did not address:
the exclusion issue
the identity mismatch
the £3,500 in deposits
the accusation of “circumvention”
the failure to use core identifiers
the blocked emails
the catch‑all routing
the lack of response under LCCP
the safer‑gambling concerns
the complaint‑handling failures
the refusal of senior management and compliance to respond even when contacted from a different email
Their reply is a template, not a genuine attempt to resolve anything. Their public statement does not match their actual behaviour.
Update – NetBet’s only reply was a generic identity‑check template, not a regulatory response
Following NetBet’s public reply on Trustpilot, I contacted support, compliance, senior management, the MLRO and the Board exactly as instructed. NetBet stated publicly that they “welcome the opportunity to review the full history” and “operate in accordance with regulatory requirements.”
The only reply I received was a generic Tier‑1 template asking for my date of birth, email address and home address — information NetBet already holds and has used for years. This response did not acknowledge any of the regulatory issues raised, including exclusion, identity mismatch, acceptance of £3,500 in deposits under mismatched details, safer‑gambling concerns, complaint‑handling failures, or the suppression of my previous correspondence.
This confirms that NetBet’s Trustpilot reply was not genuine and did not reflect their actual behaviour. They have still not provided a regulatory‑compliant response, despite publicly claiming they would. I have received confirmation that their handling of this matter does not meet UKGC regulatory expectations.
A full evidence pack is now being submitted to UKGC Enforcement. Additional escalation will be made through LinkedIn, industry regulatory bodies and industry press (iGB, SBC News). Further updates will be posted here documenting NetBet’s continued refusal to respond.
