I purchased my Catherine Deane wedding dress in January 2025 and was married in the July.
From the moment I tried the dress on, I felt it was beautiful and elegant, and I truly believed I had found my dress. I was advised at the time of purchase that alterations would likely be required and, when initially quoted, I was told the cost would be no more than £275–£300. Although I personally felt the dress already fitted well, I agreed to proceed, particularly as the atelier worked directly with Catherine Deane.
My first full fitting with the atelier team took place at the end of May, at which point I was unexpectedly quoted a final cost of £475. With my wedding date approaching, I felt under pressure to proceed, as there was little alternative available to me at that stage. I attended this fitting wearing the shoes, bra, and support underwear I intended to wear on the day.
My final collection appointment was scheduled two/three weeks before my wedding. During this appointment, I clearly expressed my concern that the bust area appeared baggy and that the shoulders had not been shortened sufficiently. The head atelier repeatedly stated that the issue could be resolved by “lifting my breasts up.” While this temporarily improved the fit for a few seconds, it was not a practical or realistic solution, as the dress immediately dropped again.
I explicitly stated that I could not reasonably be expected to lift my breasts throughout the day, but I felt my concerns were dismissed. I left the appointment feeling as though I was the problem rather than the fit of the dress. Due to working long shifts as a nurse and living outside London, I did not have the physical time to return for further fittings or push the issue further before the wedding.
In an attempt to resolve the problem myself, I purchased a fuller padded bra, however, this did not really correct the issue, as the underlying problem was that the shoulder length was too long for my bust.
Additionally, I experienced issues with the zip, which was extremely difficult to use and felt as though it might break on several occasions. The zip itself appeared uneven and jagged, which was concerning given the cost of the alterations.
I also purchased a veil from Catherine Deane and found that the label had been attached in such a way that removing it would have damaged the veil itself, leaving a hole.
This entire experience has been deeply upsetting. While my wedding day itself was wonderful, I now struggle to look at my wedding photos because of how unhappy I felt in my dress - something that could have been avoided had my concerns been properly listened to and addressed.

Highly recommend visiting the London boutique. The whole process from start to finish was so enjoyable. Zun and Ernie were amazing and I felt so beautiful in my dress. It really was the dress of my dreams - thank you!

Honestly, disappointing. I bought my bridal outfit from the aisle edit and I originally absolutely loved my experience until I went to collect my outfit. The top was far too large despite my measurements not changing - they swapped the top due to my measurements being identical however the replacement was just as large and now it’s costing me hundreds to get the corset made smaller. This isn’t a minor adjustment - the top completely falls down. For the price, the service is not reflected and honestly I feel truly let down by them. I wouldn’t recommend them for this reason - the items are not custom fit and their lack of flexibility is shocking for the brand.

I just wanted to say the biggest heartfelt thank you to you all for my amazing wedding outfit - I got married on 14th December and I felt like a Disney princess (or should I say swan!) It was not only an amazing day but the staff at Catherine Deane made it the most fantastic experience from start to finish - you are AMAZING!

It’s not easy getting married at a certain age for the second time and Leah put me completely at ease throughout and made me feel a million dollars.

Ernie felt like part of the wedding! He was so talented, so calm and so honest - all of which are attributes you need - you have to look after him!

A wonderful afternoon with my daughter watching her try on dresses for her wedding in 6 months time. Sophia listened and understood what my daughter thought she might be looking for, then Sophia guided and assisted to what would suit her best. It was a fantastic experience in a beautiful showroom overlooking the Thames. We have now ordered a stunning dress which they will tailor to fit perfectly. Thank you Sophia for all your help.

I came to Catherine Deane with my sister as she’s getting married next year and we had the most amazing experience from start to finish. Zun was amazing and knew exactly what my sister would look amazing in, she found the perfect dress and looked beautiful.
Everything about Catherine Deane is so perfect the staff the dresses and the beautiful views out of the window.

My experience with Zun my stylist at Catherine Deane exceeded my expectations. From the moment I entered the room I could feel how welcome I was. The day felt special and professional. I have attended many dress appointments however nothing compares to my experience today. Not only was Zun so knowledgeable she was so personable and made me feel like a bride. Thank you and I would recommend their gowns and pieces to anyone looking for that wow factor their “to die for” fabric but just to have the feeling I had!

It was a really relaxed and unpressurised experience. I went through my requirements but prior to my appointment I has been overwhelmed with what styles to go for. Gamze, my bridal stylist, honed in on several options for me to try on. Thank goodness she did, as I quickly chose the one! She is obviously very experienced and knowledgeable about styles, colours and silhouettes because she was great at explaining why certain styles work better than others based on my body and skin tone.

The Catherine Deane London Boutique is a beautiful space, with gorgeous views over the Thames. I had booked the mid July appointment at The National Wedding Show for a February 2025 wedding, however in hindsight I would recommend booking at least 9-12 months before your wedding as there is a lead time for ordering the pieces in.

My sister & I were warmly greeted by one of the stylists (Zun) upon arrival. After settling in, looking at the dresses in the showroom and explaining what I was looking for, I then tried on a number of different options selected by Zun. The stylish didn’t rush us and gave us plenty of space and time to consider the outfits. I found the experience very body positive and didn’t feel pressured.

I returned for a follow up appointment later that same week with my fiancé to try a few more options, before settling on the perfect outfit for my wedding day. The quality and cut of the fabrics represent very good value and I’m thrilled with my choice!

Zun was amazing. She spent over an hour with me (over 2 days) fitting my dress with me, making sure I was happy etc and then she spent another 45 minutes helping to reassure my mum it was the right choice. I felt so safe buying here, and I know I’ll be looked after with alterations.

Zun helped me choose a dress that actually suited me and gave me her personal advice. She wasn’t just “trying to make a sale” as some other bridal boutiques are. She was genuinely invested in me, my family and my wedding. On top of this, she made us feel so at home by getting to know me and of course offering some lovely Prosecco for the experience!

Such a special experience from start to finish. Catherine Deane’s premises at the Wapping wall are just beautiful. Everything is curated so carefully, from the dreamy scent as you walk in to the way the gowns are arranged and the beautiful dressing rooms. Gamze, our consultant, was very welcoming and offered us a glass of Prosecco as we admired the view out the window to the river. She was very knowledgeable about the styles and helped me pick out some dresses that would suit my shape. She allowed us to take photos and do a FaceTime call with my mum in Scotland to involve her. I love the dress I picked and feel confident it is the one! Thank you - I can’t wait to wear it on the big day!

The studio is beautiful and our stylist Sophia was amazing - she was very engaged and tuned in to what I needed to pick the right dress. She steered the appointment enough that it was well structured and a lot easier than it otherwise would've been, but also while giving me all the space I needed to make the right decisions and not drag things out. The collection is smaller than some other shops but if you know you like what they offer it doesn't make a huge difference - you need to narrow it down in the end. Again, the studio itself is lovely and the riverside view really adds to the romantic atmosphere! Thanks Sophia, you rock :)
