I signed up for this in March 2020 during quarantine. I went to cancel before the trial period ended but I couldn’t access my account and didn’t receive a password to reset it. I honestly forgot about it until today, over 3 years later, I get a 95$ charge on my account. I have never been charged before and have never received any emails or notifications of any upcoming charges. I again tried to access my account and couldn’t access or reset. I contacted customer service, they cancelled my account in the future but wouldn’t refund the charges. Why am I being charged 3 years later?! Also, when I signed up it was 29.99 a month so I don’t know where 95.99 came from. If I don’t receive compensation I will file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Centr that has left me feeling frustrated and misled. I signed up for a subscription with Centr and was enjoying the service at first. However, I was shocked to discover that they had auto-charged my account for another subscription period without any prior notice or warning.

When I tried to contact Centr about this issue, their customer service refused to issue a refund for the unauthorized charge. It's extremely frustrating to be charged for something without any warning or consent, and then to be refused a refund when reaching out for assistance.

This lack of transparency and accountability is completely unacceptable. It's clear that Centr prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, and I can no longer trust this company with my business. I strongly advise others to steer clear of Centr and their unethical business practices.

will steal your money, will renew even if you cancel. will not refund even if you contact about why you were charged. deceitful company with a bad app. Seems like Chris friends decided to do whatever they want, I wonder how much of what they say about themselves is even true. They certainly dont care about the user.

Seems like a very common occurrence based on the previous reviews. You would thing that a company that had this much poor feedback on their processes would actually do something about it. I mean how many people do you know that track their yearly subscription renewals? All responsible organisations send a renewal lead up reminder/notification. This is the first company I have dealt with that has not done this. I can only speculate that this is done on purpose to catch people out deceitfully. Free yearly subscription through Amex and then no notification a year later before renewing at a fee.

Contacted support and they said bad luck, you forgot to cancel essentially. Avoid this product and this company at all costs.

How can this batch of criminals still be in business? if you sign up for their app, they WILL CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD, whether you cancel in a day, a week, two weeks whatever WELL WITHIN THE TRIAL PERIOD. Thank the norse gawds my credit card company stood behind me in this large batch of bovine scatology. And oh how I wish I had found all these reviews before I believed Chris Hemsworth. Wish I could get Loki and his pals to beat the crap out of these crooks.

Same as everyone else. Fraudulent charges, no invoicing and no emails. After the trial I found I had been charged $90 and the company refuses to refund.

I never write reviews but this deserves it. Do not join Centr - the subscription service is a complete scam. They do scam tactics; they stopping email contact after an enticing trial so you forget about the subscription, you get locked out then cannot get a reset password to gain access to cancel, cancelling is then impossible. No forwarding via any form of contact about a renewal like most places. It is money grabbing. Other reviews showed this has happened before.

Exact same issue as everyone else - fraudulent renewal.

Cancelled the app subscription in mid 2022, but they renewed in Feb 2023 for another year with no sign of a refund. No notice, no warning. Scam.

Complaining to my Credit Card company and letting them take care of it.

I don't normally write reviews but absolutely appalled at Centr's approach to not send renewal notifications then refuse to give refunds because of their Terms & Conditions. The company has been acquired by a PE firm and I think it's troublingly telling that they'll lock customers in to year-long contracts when they want to cancel. I have several subscriptions and all of them come with renewal notifications and easy cancellation. If you'll set a calendar notification to cancel your subscription or cancel it the day after you pay for it, get it. Otherwise, like most of the other reviews avoid.

Avoid, they auto renew without any notifications the same way that a scam company would steal your money. Its a shocking way to run a business. Its important for everyone who reads this and who this has happened to to write these reviews everywhere because they clearly don't care and just want money.

Same issue other people have had. The plan is set to auto renewal and they send no notifications about this. Once you discover you've been charged they refuse to action a refund. I find this a very unscrupulous way of doing business. Other companies send you a notification about renewals and many will even refund you despite having sent a reminder. I find this method of doing business terrible and very sad that Chris Hemsworth is associated with a company which behaves in this way.

Do not trust this company! I was provided a 'free' 1 year membership, so i hope you didnt pay for your whole first year as they were being giving them out left right and centre for free through Amex to help with your welfare after Covid as though everyone cared for me. I cancelled a few days afterwards as it wasnt right for me. But low and behold a year on i am charged for a year. I couldnt log in to clarify, and I couldnt get a new password via the site with the 'forgot password' option. Why, maybe because i cancelled..... they couldnt explain BUT still no refund!
This is an absolute rort! Avoid at all COST.

I attempted to complete a trial but wasn't able to log in for the entirety of the trial - figured something must have screwed up when I signed up and it just never actually went through properly. Until I was charged and suddenly able to log in to the account.... contacted customer service straight away and they have been no help, no effort, no admission of failure on their end.
Feels like extremely deceptive and predatory practices going on.
It sucks because I really wanted to try out the app but after this experience I'm too anxious and annoyed to even try it out.

I purposely cancelled my subscription several days prior to the expiration date through my apple subscriptions and I’m extremely disappointed to find that they have still charged me an annual fee! This appears to be the experience of others too.

Centr refuses to give refunds for any reason. Accidentally renew your subscription and email the second you get charged? Too bad. Money down the drain. Get cancer and need to go to the hospital? Try out their meal ideas cause clearly that’ll help.

Be careful on their purchase page because it says you can cancel any time, it never says you can get any money back. Zero sympathy at all.

Never fund companies like this. You’d think Chris Hemsworth would care as this app rids on his persona.

Welp, I guess not!

Centr.vom debited my card after I noticed an unknown transaction on my debit card. I emailed them because I didn't recognise the transaction. They replied saying I apparently signed up for a free trial. When they sent me a password reset link to login and cancel my subscription the message I got was login or password don't exist. So I can't even cancel my subscription

I don't do reviews, but thought I must with all these negative reviews when actually this is a really great app. Customer service I've found is okay, and although renew is automatic, what company now isn't. To cancel is very simple and there plain to see on subscriptions (for the following year). The classes are engaging and friendly. I would definitely recommend, especially for beginners. However, like the others, I agree, be careful as once the 7 days are up, you're in, so choose wisely as cancellation is a no go once subscribed till the following year..

Absolute scam of a company!!! Please see below my review from the App Store including from last year to this year

Although I really enjoyed using this app, after having a baby I just don’t have the time anymore, so decided when my subscription is up I won’t renew for now. Having checked on the app numerous times couldn’t see any information about cancelling so I left it to run its course. Ended up being charged for another year, emailed them straight away to say I didn’t want this. I’ve never encountered such customer service, they are flat out refusing to refund me stating the terms and conditions state they don’t process refunds for accidental purchases! Wow! I will be pursuing the refund through my bank but everyone beware - apparently you need to set the subscription to cancel at the end of the year if you don’t want it to automatically renew!!! Update - they have done this to me another 2 times!!! I set the subscription to cancel after the first robbery, yet they charged me - on this occasion they did actually refund me. Then they offered a free month trial so I thought I’d make use of that - I didn’t so don’t know why I bothered. Anyway charge me again and this time refusing to refund. Best to steer clear

Avoid this one.. total scam company.
I agreed to the 7 day free trial. What they don’t tell you is they charge you an entire years subscription BEFORE the 7 days are up. Won’t offer refunds. I, regrettably, didn’t argue this enough at the time and decided to try using the app for a while any. It is not a good app at all - there are far better, and free, alternatives out there. After a few weeks I gave it up completely, cancelled the subscription and didn’t use it again.
Then nearly a year later, I was subject to a stealth renewal charge for another entire years subscription. No email warning, and notifications, just a quiet charge to my bank.
Poor company with no morals. All they care about is raping their customer base for as much as they can, and offer shocking customer service in return. Avoid this company at all costs, don’t even download the app ‘just to see.’ Yet another awful company in the fitness industry just after an easy buck.
