Centr Stinks..

Centr Stinks... the offering is good... the Customer Service is more than terrible. This customer service team does not care about their users and will not support you for any reason. For example: They auto billed my account for 1 year of access, I informed them that i canceled the program in 2022 via the app and should not be charged for 2023. They said it didn't matter because they don't offer refunds (Not even prorated ones). This is just one example. Choose a company that treats their customers like gold would be my advice.

I signed up during lockdown and thought I canceled they kept charging me and never send an email like any other subscriptions with a receipt. I didn’t get my money back even though they could see that I haven’t used there app. Also showed them invoices of my local membership at the local gym. Also no one to talk too on there customer service.

The same thing happened to me. I clicked on free subscription through my Amex card. Never used it and then they stole $180 from my Amex a yr later which I could not afford. Emailed them and they refused to refund. Thieving a…holes…

Do not even bother with a free trial

Do not even bother with a free trial. I had 12 month free trial and I realised it was not what I wanted after one day. Cancelled it and never signed in again, however one year later i was billed with $120. They refuse to refund.

What makes it shady is that they don't send any subscription is due emails. They basically don't send communications after the first few days of joining. Never confirmed my unsubscription via email either - red flag.

You're better off signing up for other fitness apps than this. Quality can be found elsewhere and the trust is little to none here.

Search up the company. You’ll see articles about it since 2020. Wish I did that then.

They automatically renew you, terrible customer service.

They never send an email to tell you that your subscription is going to renew, and they are located in Australia. I am in the US and I saw that my card was hit with a pending charge from them. I immediately contacted them to cancel my subscription, which was the day before it was to renew where I am, but apparently not where they are. They refused to refund me my money I had to go through hoops with my credit card company and I still do not have a refund. This company is terrible for customer service. Do not use them.

rip off - auto renew scam

rip off - apparently Chris hemsworth made $200m out of selling the company. Looks good up front and apart from the lack of real concrete value their auto renew policy is not upfront.
automatically got a free subscription with my amex card and then auto renewed at $119.99. i had never used it.

Don’t waste your money

Wish I’d read the other reviews. I feel scammed into a subscription and the customer service were not helpful whatsoever.
Not worth the cost, avoid!

The Logbook is a joke.

The Logbook is a very poor execution. Other apps like "Workout" track your progress and suggest adequate weight for next exercise. There are plenty of other apps that cos way less and offer more.

Pointless

You have to sign up and commit to a subscription before you can try any of the features, at which point you discover that there is no way to enter ANY data about your age, weight, height, health etc. So you're presented with the same workout and meal plan regardless of whether you're an 18yo or a 60yo! Insane, and potentially very dangerous. I simply can't understand how they think this could work for most people. I have cancelled, but am wary of other reports of being charged anyway, so have taken a screenshot of my cancellation.

The app is terrible

The app is terrible, the exercise, food, routines are incredibly poor. I attempted to cancel my free trial after 15 minutes of looking at the app, there was an error within the subscription which would not show it to me and i was unable to cancel.

On day 7 of the free trial i finally managed to get the app working to cancel the subscription and they still charged me for 12 months and they just reference their T&C's!

I was was still on the free trial and done everything i could and did actually cancel in time. Currently going through a charge back against google store and logging an official complaint with them for the practises they're undertaking.

Be careful, they will trap you

Not very impressed with the app. It was not for me. Then I got trapped into an extra year membership. Sneaky buggers. Exercise classes not that great and meditation was poor.

Money grabbing, poor service, deny you cancelled. Dont trust it.

My bank declined their attempts to take money from my account because they had outdated card details. This is after numerous attempts to cancel the subscription. It is a scam..

You loose access to your account and when you specify reset password they say they have sent an email with the password reminder.

It NEVER arrives, so they continue to try and get your card payment even though mine expired in the beginning of January 2021, they then use Master Card to get the money from you even though the data they hold on you is out of date.

1. Don't trust them is my advice
2. Its not a great programme hence I wanted to leave it the first time round I paid up in good faith.
3. They are not interested in you as customer just the money in my experience
4. Ignore any attempts for you to try and cancel your membership.

Please do not get sucked into this. If I had read the reviews way back when I would never have even installed the app.

This is a fraudulent scam

This is a fraudulent scam. I have no idea how or where they got my information but they insist that I signed up for a gym membership (which I have never, or would ever do) and then their customer service team call me a LIAR when I questioned it. Chris Hemsworth should be horrified to be associated with whoever is behind this rip-off scheme. Discraceful.

I cancelled my subscription within the trial period, but it charged me for a year anyway. Their "support" team told me they don't offer refunds under any circumstances, which obviously includes where their app (or their business practices) are at fault. Disgusting. No wonder Hemsworth is loaded. Search for news articles. The ACCC is aware of this scam company.

The app is literally a scam

The app is literally a scam.

I found out today that I have been subscribed to this scam of an app for 3 years!! My last email I have from them is a notification saying they were unable to charge my account back in 2020 at the end of my trial. Didn’t realise they have my card information somehow.

Regardless, they have not contacted me since, and they did not provide any proof of purchase/ receipt through emails so far, just silently charged through.

It is my bad to not notice, but still it is hard since it is one payment for a whole year, and they literally gave no notice/ information at all.

This app is designed to scam people, literally worse than scums who swindle money out of old retirees accidentally signed up for news and media services

Terrible disgrace of a business. Should be banned

Making money out of bad internal policies

I had stopped using the app for some time even though I still had some months left in my subscription. So when it expired, my subscription was automatically renewed without any notice to me and charged 1200sek (120Euro) from my credit card. When contacting the costumer service a week later they refused to refund for a service that I never used. How can they charge for something not used? And in addition to that they keep using their internal policies as an excuse. They can easily track if there was any usage and make a fair assessment, which was not the case. It's unacceptable that the company is not concerned about their image and how their clients are treated, the company must really be in a bad situation if they really want to make profit out those kind tricks, as it is pretty much stealing from their consumers. Chris Hemsworth as the founder should be really concerned about the future of the app, with this poor level of consumer policies, there is no space in the market for them.

Litterally a scam

I downloaded this app because i always wanted to try one of these workouts, well turns out i choose the worse app out there. 1st off, they promise you a 7 days free of charge unlimited workouts on the app. But you still need to enter your credit card informations. And they immediately deduct you of the money. So basically false advertising. And the workouts are not even that great, they are long, very hard, and most of them require heavy equipment. So, to sum up we have a workout app that's expensive, has false advertising everywhere, has very hard and not very feasable workouts to be honest. I just hope i'm gonna get the 24,99€ that they charged me back so i can put it in a better and cheaper app

Mediocre app and terrible customer service

I wish I had read these reviews signing before signing up. I signed up for a 6 week trial, had an okay experience and therefore decided to continue with a years subscription. However my personal circumstances changed when my mum was taken into hospital for a few months, so I stopped using the app. With no warning, Centr took another £93 from me last week for another years subscription. I had previously tried to cancel in advance, but couldn’t work out how to do so - therefore assumed this would not be an issue. Despite reading the review below where a customer with a very similar experience HAS been refunded I found they will not give me my money back- an absolute joke.
To the app itself, it’s okay. However meal plans/ cooking is complex. I just didn’t have time to keep on top of this when mum got ill. Workouts were good, but the need for dumb bells for quite a few sessions was annoying as didn’t have any. Most frustratingly I could not mirror the app to my tv so ended up doing workouts from my phone. When trying to keep form etc, this is very risky and I felt prone to injury
