I have enjoyed collecting with CGB for many years. I have met several of their experts in their office and at Paris coin shows. Their publications are amazing. They have always been honest, excellent, timely, trustworthy. I will continue to browse their offerings weekly. When my collecting days are over, I have told my children to ask Joel and his staff at CGB to sell them.

Hope to deal again
My first experience with CGB Numismatique Paris was great, the items arrived in excellent condition, with excellent packaging. Moreover, despite the fact that I chose normal shipping, they sent it DHL Express. ++A++

A good address for serious collectors
I’ve purchased multiple coins from CGB.fr and have always been impressed by their professionalism and clear communication. Descriptions are accurate, photos are honest, and the grading has proven trustworthy.
One thing I especially value is how responsive and helpful the team is, whether it's a simple inquiry or a question about provenance. Packaging and shipping are handled with great care, and their website is easy to navigate.
In a field where trust and transparency matter, CGB.fr has consistently delivered. A reliable partner for serious collectors.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. They forced me to pay FedEx taxes because I complained that they had sent me two incorrect coins. I never received a response from Customer Service. A stupid way to lose a customer.

Dear Customer,
We are sincerely sorry to read your message and to learn about your experience.
Receiving incorrect coins is clearly not acceptable, and we fully understand your frustration. This should not have happened.
Regarding the FedEx taxes, these charges are determined by customs authorities and the carrier in the destination country. They are not penalties and are not imposed by us, but are related to import regulations. That said, this does not diminish the inconvenience you experienced.
You also mention that you never received a response from our Customer Service. If that is the case, it is not normal and we apologize. Every claim should receive a clear and timely reply. We will review your file internally to understand what happened and ensure that your request is properly addressed.
Losing a customer because of a situation like this is indeed regrettable. We remain available to review your case in detail and find an appropriate solution.
Best regards.

POOR PEOPLE
Pauvres gens.

It's strange that it's an internationally known platform, because it works very poorly and doesn't respect its customers.
I purchased a Cuban 1 Peso 2001 banknote for €3.00, and they charged me €18.00 just for shipping from France to Italy, when the actual cost is no more than €8/9.
I wrote to them several times to ask if there had been a mistake in the high cost and to ask them to change the shipping cost, but I always received an automated reply without any solution to my problem.
At one point, I received an email from the platform with the tracking number and my shipment already made, so no one helped me, or even replied. They are also thieves, because this way of acting showed that they knew they had applied a fake rate.
In the end, I paid €18.00 for a shipment from France to Italy. 😁 And I still haven't received it. Poor things.
