Never Fails to Deliver Five-Star Treatment
After being unable to visit for some time, returning to the Chamada Girne Hotel was an absolute pleasure. It remains a genuine five-star hotel, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional standard of its staff.
A hotel can have beautiful architecture, luxurious décor and first-class facilities, but it is the people who ultimately make or break your stay. They are the reason you remember a hotel fondly—and the reason you choose to return. In this respect, the Chamada Girne excels.
The location is another major advantage. The hotel is only a three- to four-minute walk from the city centre and around five or six minutes from Kyrenia Harbour. It is perfectly placed for shopping, dining out or enjoying the atmosphere around the beautifully renovated harbour area.
If relaxation is the priority, the hotel has that covered too. The superb overflow pool is ideal for unwinding and enjoying the sunshine, while the hotel’s private beach club is approximately 20 minutes away. Casinos are not personally my thing, but anyone who enjoys an occasional flutter will also be well catered for.
The food throughout our stay was excellent. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and the quality was consistently impressive. Although both meals were served buffet-style, the choice, presentation and overall standard were extremely high. There is also an à la carte restaurant, available at an additional charge, for guests who prefer a quieter and more refined dining experience.
Since taking over and renovating the property, the hotel has created an exceptionally high standard of accommodation. Rooms are available with either twin or double beds, and some overlook the swimming pool. Each is comfortably appointed with an excellent en-suite bathroom, minibar, safe, air conditioning and everything else you would expect from a five-star hotel.
Parking is effortless thanks to the excellent valet service. Simply pull up at the entrance and hand over your keys. When you need the car again, give the team your registration number and it is promptly brought back to you.
For all the hotel’s many strengths, however, it is undoubtedly the staff who make you want to return. From the moment you book through to check-in—and every interaction with the bell team, restaurant staff, managers and valets—you are met with warmth, professionalism and genuine attention to detail.
Their naturally friendly manner never feels forced, and that is what stays with you long after the visit has ended.
We will not simply be returning—we have already made our next reservation and are very much looking forward to it.
