Getting a straight answer from Champs…

Getting a straight answer from Champs is exhausting. Replies take weeks, especially on anything involving money, and there's no clear way to reach someone who can actually help.

I moved in a few months after my husband while waiting for my documents. Once I had them, we asked for me to be added to the tenancy. Despite several requests, it never happened, so I had limited access to the residential complex's amenities throughout my stay.

The final straw was the end-of-tenancy cleaning. The move-out rules weren't clearly explained at the start, so we budgeted for one amount and were then quoted about double what a cleaner would charge directly. That isn't transparent or fair.

My advice: chose another agency

One star is generous

One star is generous.

I rented through Champs and the experience was awful from start to finish.

Communication is the worst I have ever dealt with from a letting agent. I waited over a month for a response to a simple query. Emails and calls went unanswered for weeks at a time, and I was left chasing them constantly for things that should have taken five minutes.

I was paying for access to the gym in my building and was never given it. I raised this repeatedly and it was never resolved, so I paid for a facility I couldn't use for the length of my tenancy.

At the end of the tenancy they quoted me roughly double what independent cleaning companies charge for the exact same end-of-tenancy clean. When you have already been ignored for months, being hit with an inflated bill on the way out feels like the final insult.

If you are considering renting through Champs, get everything in writing, and get your own quotes for cleaning. I would not use them again.

the most horrible agent

They are the most horrible agent you can work with them.

They might rent your flat with cheaper price for you but they are really really bad. They are not reactive on issues that happens in the flat, they do not properly act or collaborate with the tenet then when it comes to returning back the money always tenant has to raise a dispute to get their money back and then because they have not done their job well then what happens is that tenant will receive their full money back, your flat remains not fixed, not cleaned, etc.

They are just horrible horrible horrible for both tenant and landlord do not work with them. Do not make your flat bad and do not make the life of your tenant hard. There are thousands of many better agents to work with them. Just go with them. not with this people that do not have even minimum quality to work in the UK.
