Charcoalandpencil was true to their word. Only downside, in my view, was that their pricing could be more competitive. After the fact and review of other web sites, I estimate Charcoalandpencil's price was about 60% higher than comparable quality drawings.

What differentiates us from our competitors is that we start working from scratch on blank paper for the artworks and not print the pictures to paint them. Hence, our prices are high. Also, the artworks being 100% handmade, the artists put in a lot of their time, effort, and skill in capturing the soul of the pictures in the artworks. We hope you would agree that the artists, as humans, who create such cherishable artworks have to be paid duly for their efforts as well. Nevertheless, we are grateful to you for entrusting us with the commissioning of seven artworks and would love to work with you again on a new project very soon.

Charcoal and Pencil far exceeded my expectations! I was looking for a quick turnaround for a charcoal piece and they delivered. I submitted a photo and they got back to me right away advising me what size would be the best way to go as well as making sure that the subject would be the focal point of the piece and most background elements would not be included since they were not important to the piece. I did put a rush on the order, and they were able to send me an email proof in about 3 days, and I received the final piece about 2 weeks after. The final piece was beautifully done, I was extremely happy with their work!

I was absolutely amazed at the detail and quality of the artwork I ordered. I had a drawing done of our beloved dog that we had to put down this summer. I gave this piece to my husband for Christmas and the entire family loved it. The work was done very quickly and shipped quickly and it was of the highest quality! Highly recommend!

The communication was excellent, there were over 40 email communications. Every time I asked a question it was reply to within 24 hours. Shipping was fast, no snail mail this was couriered out! And once thos transaction was done their communications weren't. They still reached out to see if I was happy with the product. Highly recommend!

I purchased a sketch of my parents house for them for Christmas. They loved it! It looks great. I took a picture for use for the sketch but it was decorated for Christmas. The artist crossed out Christmas decorations and sent me picture to verify that it was okay for sketch. They were able to sketch it perfectly leaving out Christmas wreaths and garland and it looks great.
