I went online on Sunday evening 7th September to order a charger as it was 10%Deposit and the rest interest free over a certain amount of months.
While I was going through the process, it came to a point where they wanted details from my banks and I have never been asked for the amount of info from my bank account so at that point I stopped the transaction and didn't give them the detail that they needed to aprove the finance.
The next day I was appalled that they had taken the 10%deposit even though i had not approved the last bit being the finance.
At this stage they had only had my card details. I emailed them on Monday 8th September cancelling the Charger point and explained that it should not been taken out of my account as I did not approve it.
I was told that i would get my monies back in 7 working days.....most company's do it in 5 at most. It is now the 19th September and several emails later and I have still not recieved my money back. Please make sure that if you want a charger or anything else they will ask for info and want to go actually into your bank details , unfortunately if you get to this point they will have already taken monies out of your account.
That in my view is fraudulent and they should be investigated for scamming people out of money. Looking at the feedback now, it looks like this is common practise. Be very aware.
It is now Monday 22nd and still no refund.
Does not charge for what you use, but takes extra money to keep a balance , asked for a refund, closed account , weeks on , four emails three phone calls still no refund despite promises .Do not use !
This company is a scam!! Stay away and don’t waste your time and money using them. We’d give a negative star if there was that option. The charge point assigned never worked in the first place after spending more than two hours on the phone with the service technician for him to tell us the charging location is defective. Yet we were still charged $11.31 twice for accessing the charger. When calling customer service we were told we can get a credit to our account - how is that useful if the charge point is non functional? - or get a check in the mail in 6 weeks! Six weeks? They immediately charged us for non functioning equipment and now we must wait 6 weeks to get our money back? Why can’t they just refund us on the credit card. When asked to speak to the supervisor we were told no one is available and they can call us back within 2 hours. We have very little hope of getting any return calls.
The worst charging company I’ve dealt with so far. Sporadic and visible service. I’ve been waiting for an hour for someone to call back and known. It is truly despicable business practices. Nothing works. There’s no support and the map does not even show my location properly. It is truly something to be avoided.
Update
Even worse. The station is not on map. Its unavailable. The support person was impossible to understand. Very thick at sent and the screens are so poor quality you cannot see them because the bright sunlight is overpowering the screen. Truly a terrible company. Avoided all costs. I just deleted their app and will not be using this company again.

Went to quarry bank Manchester for a day out and needed to charge. First I had to make an account, then register a bank card to which now charge point charge more than the charge value just to keep the account in credit. Why can you not just pay as you go like other charge stations for. What a con

ordered a J1772 sytem, for which my credit card was charged on 8/27. I received no order confirmation or shipping info, so called their phone #, only to be told that is for tech support only! ALL customer service and order questions are done through e-mail only, so you cannot ever talk to anybody. I created a 'ticket' and am now waiting to hear back from Charge Point. VERY poor customer support, This is a lousy company to deal with - all hype and glossy advertising, horrible service.

My card details used to charge a car or cars 200 miles away.
I had to deleted my account and informed my bank and cancel my bank card , I have raised a ticket with chargepoint.
Other Chargepoint users should change there Password at least.
Plus if i did not have SMS notifications on my phone the problem would have been worse.
but i notice they mention that they soon will not send you SMS notifications ?
I have have now been fully refunded

Chargepoint are crooks. There is no two ways about it. They fraudulently charged my bank account, and when they were forced to acknowledge their fraud they refunded it to "my account with them", have promised to refund to my bank account, but they have never actually done so. Every customer service person lies endlessly telling a new story but the underlying truth is the whole firm is fraudulent.
UPDATE: 3 months after the initial fraud and after dozens of messages, complaints and threats, and hours wasted they did eventually repay the amount stolen. A CSR admitted they have a large fraud problem and "they cannot be expected to deal with all the fraud promptly"

For four hours…we got 3 miles for $4.89. Ridiculous rip off and waste. If it’s not fast charge, don’t waste your time/money.

I ordered a Home Flex Charger from ChargePoint, but the first unit I received was defective. After several calls with their support team, they decided to send me a replacement. The new charger was shipped via FedEx. However, about a month later, I received a bill from FedEx for shipping and customs fees. Despite repeatedly contacting ChargePoint support, I couldn't get the issue resolved. The entire experience was frustrating, and the support was unhelpful. I wouldn't recommend this product.
Here’s my chargepoint case reference number :14564997. appreciated if anyone from chargepoint is willing to help. Thanks

If I would be able to give a zero star review I would. I got a defective product (can't connect to wifi), and it is impossible to get through to customer support, you are put on hold for hours, if you leave your phone number (and they say they will call you back) they won't

On a recent trip through central Colorado, I needed to charge my EV from about 30% charge to 80% charge in Buena Vista, to avoid arriving home with a single digit charge remaining. My app directed me to a charging station at 912 S Main. The pedestal is about a block off of Main, in a dirt parking lot, but I eventually located it and connected as usual. The unwelcome surprise came at the end of the charging session: while similar sessions at other ChargePoint stations cost anywhere between $12 and $20, this one cost me more than $60. If you have other options in this area, use them, and avoid this specific station!

My Chargepoint account was hacked and over £300 was removed fraudulently. I notified Chargepoint on 8 July and four weeks later, plus ten phonecalls from me to their customer support, I am still getting the story that their finance department is investigating.

Set up an account with ChargePoint. Transferred funds to the account and charged my EV. The following day ChargePoint withdrew more money to the account. We were not going to use ChargePoint again - and have numerous times asked ChargePoint to refund the balance. Without any success. In 2025 we asked Consumer Europe (set up by the European Commission) to take over the case. ChargePoint's European HQ is in the Netherlands, so Consumer Europe has had the Dutch Consumer Authorities to contact ChargePoint to repay the balance. ChargePoint did not respond to the Dutch authorities.
I thereupon wrote a review on Trustpilot - whereupon ChargePoint reached out to me. They informed me that they had not received my emails in the Netherlands (they had gone to ChargePoint US and had not been redirected to the Netherlands). ChargePoint thereupon corrected the matter.
I have now changed the title of this review - and have also changed the assessment from 1 to 3 stars.

Bought a ChargePoint charger for our home for $550, and had an electrician install it. Total out of pocket was $1,000 with rebate included. Now 13 months in and the charger isn’t working, and dealing with support/customer service for ChargePoint is a nightmare which includes 45 minute wait times on the phone and hanging up from frustration. And if you are lucky enough to get through to a representative, it is a very slow process of them having you do steps to ensure it is not working and then escalating it only to receive additional troubleshooting suggestions by email. But the only way to tell them nothing works is to call them as you cannot reply to the emails. And again, getting a live representative is challenging. Electrician that installed it came to our house and inspected unit and was lucky enough to speak to ChargePoint on the phone and said the issue is on their end as the wiring and power is fine. Yet here we are, nails on a chalkboard, trying to get back in contact with company to advise additional steps provided still haven’t fixed issue. Unit is under warranty so I have that but with this aggravation it isn’t worth it.

My account was hacked and two charging sessions took place 180 miles away!
I emailed support to receive an email stating they don’t respond to that anymore and to fill in a contact form. Completed the form a week ago and messaged on social media with absolutely no response and no confirmation that my case has even been logged. Absolutely terrible customer service for the 2nd time this year after they attempted to double charge me and left a £60 hold on my card in May.
Would avoid like the plague.
In response to the reply from Charge Point. I am unable to provide my email address on Trust Pilot and would refer you to my Facebook message which contains the details or the email I sent to your support email address.

This is not a real business. I wouldn't even rate them 1. Probably the worst contractor I have been involved with. They were my company's choice so i was forced to deal with them. It has taken 9 months from first approach to installation. Where I prepared the trench, duct and mounting base. Hundreds of emails exchanged with both ChargePoint and the subcontracted installer. Pics taken, survey done. Complete chaos in terms of pricing, milestones, nothing went to plan and as per survey. The charger is installed now but does not work. The app is frozen, the charger appears unconnected. I have a case number, called the 24/7 assistance number. ringing forever, no one to answer. This is a joke not a business. Avoid at all cost if you can.

At first it was nice and neat. After two months half of our chargers went down, and my residents were pissed. Not just the chargers don’t work, I’ve been trying to get a hold of them for 3 weeks now and no response. No call back. No email.
If your consideration using charge point for your multi family property, DON’T as it will let your tenants down.

In Reply to your request for further information, only way I could see to,do that is to update this review?, specifically the login account. This raises another issue that I had. Any attempt to log into app results in “password incorrect” or similar. Attempts to amend password resulted in no email recieved or on web site (I think) stating that no account exists for login in.
This was your ID Transaction ID: 0D5333980P4376515

Something very suspect about this outfit. I installed app which resulted in an email which stated I would be charged £10 on first use. Now almost six months later, system not used and ai get charged £10. Trying to get anyone to take any responsibility is impossible. Support Cases asks for info that does not apply means request is rejected.

THEY HAVE TAKEN £560 IN ONE DAY! And no one can explain why! When I call they just say we have opened a case and that’s that!
they cannot confirm where the money has gone either!
