Warning: They will not pay a check and not tell you

They refused to pay a check because of suspected fraud. But their process is one phone call without a leaving a message. If you don't answer, they bounce the check. They have my cellphone number and email address. I have the Chase app with push notification on. I complained and the rep said "This is the system we have." I asked to talk to a supervisor and was bounced around like a pinball to people who weren't supervisors and couldn't help me.

They are disgusting and ruthless

They are disgusting. Right before Thanksgiving they reduced all the limits on five credit cards. Right before the holidays. My score dropped 100 points because it made it look like I was maxed out on all my cards with Chase. They are ruthless and disgusting people. And the people that work there do not care.

Been a customer for 25 years

Been a customer for 25 years. Lived abroad for 15 years. Have told Chase multiply times where I live. Continually locks out of my account- this has happened multiple times now. Unsure why. I don't have this issue with any bank account in my current country when I travel abroad. Am accessing my account on the same computer and app that I have for years from the same IP address. Chase is a global company so I'm unsure why they can't sort this. Surely I'm one of thousands with the same issue. I've now been waiting 2 weeks to get into my account. I've had one ineffective call from customer service with no answers. I think my only option is to call and spend $60 getting through advanced security. I had to do this last time and it was a farce. The questions were things like "What is your drivers license number?" I don't have one in the US anymore so they are impossible to answer. Absolutely shocked by the shambolic nature of a global company that surely has an expat client base.

Today I went into Chase on Clement St and was basically told too bad since there was both they can do so just wait until Jan 13,2026 and it will be in my account
Shame on Chase for treating customers that are not like Donald Trump with no respect

On 12/12/2025

On 12/12/2025, I attempted to use Zell to send money to my niece. The transaction failed even though I just successfully used this account in September (same year). I called Chase for support and after 90 minutes of aggravation they could not help. It was a frustrating and humiliating experience. After enduring the automated voice answering service, I was transferred to technical support where I had to verify my account and explain what I was doing. This was repeated at least 5 times and each time I had to verify all my bank information over and over and over and OVER again. I would request to get transferred to a supervisor after the support person couldn't help. After 90 minutes of this I gave up. I found out I was getting transferred each time to off-shore support. The only change I could make was to get transferred back to US support. I would not recommend this bank to anyone. They don't care about helping you, and this is by design because you can't escalate beyond the technical team even after the Chase support can't resolve your (their) bank issue.

I've been banking with Chase for about…

I've been banking with Chase for about 8 years. Three weeks ago, I added a business account to my personal account.
For some reason, they also manually attached a different business account to my personal account.
Then a week later, they closed all my accounts for fraud.. All day long I was on hold with bankers. They realized their mistake and fixed it. But - how does this happen?!
Is there any bank I can trust these days?
I am still having trouble with setting up zelle, since in the process they also flagged my zelle account and zelle flagged my email and phone number..
I've lost hours and days by this point, trying to fix the problems caused by their online banking system.
Anyone know a better place I can take my money?

Extremely disappointed with Chase…

Extremely disappointed with Chase customer service. The first representative I spoke with was very rude and hung up on me mid-conversation. I called back hoping it was just a one-off experience, but the second agent did the exact same thing. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from a major financial institution. I expected much better from Chase.

Shops at chase is SCAM

Shops at chase is SCAM. Looks like run by people whose job is to take the money and screw the customers. Once you charge your card and purchase the product good luck getting it return. Doesn’t matter if the size doesn’t fit or product is not as shown.

CHASE BANK ALLOWED AN INTERNATIONAL…

CHASE BANK ALLOWED AN INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTION BE PROCESSED FROM MY ACCOUNT THRU PAYPAL. I DON'T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. I DISPUTED THE TRANSACTION TO BE TOLD THAT THE MONEY WOULD BE REVERSED WITHIN 1-2 HOURS, IT WAS. THE NEXT DAY I GET A LETTER TELLING ME THEY ARE INVESTAGING THE TRANSACTION AND WILL WITHDRAW THE MONEY IF THEY PROVE IT WAS ME. THE FACT IS I HAVE NEVER TRAVEL OUT OF THE U.S., SECOND I DON'T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 45 DAYS FOR THESE IDIOTS TO INVESTAGE A 12.90 WITHDRAW THAT ISN'T MINE. I'VE BANKED WITH THEM FOR YEARS, I TOLD THEM LOOK AT ALL MY STATEMENTS, NO PAYPAL TRANSACTIONS WHAT SO EVER? WHY ARE THEY PUTTING ME THRU THIS STRESS OVER 12.90 THAT I DIDN'T DO.

Why do they need info from 10 years ago?

I recently received a Chase credit card, and today I tried to set up my account. However, it said I already had an account. I did have one that I canceled 10-15 years ago, so I no longer have the username or password, but apparently it was still in their system. I was able to recover the username, but in order to change my password, I had to receive a code via text or phone call. However, it would only send the code to the number I had years ago, when I lived in a different state, back before I canceled the first card I had with them. Of course, I no longer have that phone number, so had to call Chase to get a code.

When I called they verified my card number, my SSN, and my mother’s maiden name. Then they asked for my zip code, so I gave the current one, for the address to which they sent my new card. But that wasn’t good enough. They wanted the old zip code that I had when I first had an account with them. Well, I’ve moved a couple times since then, and years have passed, and I couldn’t remember it.

The guy I was talking to had a thick accent, so I had a hard time understanding him. But I think he said they’d call me within 24 or 36 hours to verify.

Why is my old account even still active? That seems like a potential security risk, to have it sitting there unused for 10 or 15 years. Why wasn’t it removed after I canceled my card all those years ago? And why do they not accept the zip code of the address to which they sent my card?

I am unable to access my account, which means I cannot pay my bill. I had better not be charged interest due to their faulty system.

Great deal for $900 to open a checking…

Great deal for $900 to open a checking and savings, deposit $15,000, have one auto deposit. Brought in a check to deposit $13,000 as online transfers would be burdonsome due to limits. My husband was hassled. Bell Bank cleared the check 12/10, Chase cleared the check 12/19. With transfers and checks had over $18,000 in the bank. Went to bank to get monies for games at Christmas and gifts. I had my acct #, how much was in the acct, my drivers license, but they needed another credit card - I didn't have one as all entered in apple wallet. The cashier was not helpful. I left, only to be parked in by a customer that was 6" from my drivers door. I went back in bank and said - you need to move your car. I was told to wait. Another clerk came up to me and said maybe we can authenticate you another way. (I opened the acct at that branch). The guy that opened the acct came around the corner and was surprised to see me and that there was an issue. He tried to authenticate but wasn't authorized! He asked the other gal to authenticate that he vouched - she said no, I don't know her. Finally someone else higher up authenticated. Then online I tried to transfer $12,000 from Chase checking to savings. It was rejected and my acct locked. I called. Answered all the questions and would get a call back. The call back question was "what color was your Ford Explorer in 1998?!!!!!!!" Twenty eight years ago!!!! Good grief - it was white or black - I guessed white, it was wrong. They would not verify!!!! IT IS AN INTERNAL TRANSFER!!!! Now I have to try again after 10 minutes.

I lost my debit card and reported it

I lost my debit card and reported it. The account was closed and disappeared from the download menu. now I can't download my transactions. This can happen on any account. When they close it all documents disappear. If you don't get your statements in the mail, you can't get to them online. I would advise everyone to change the option of getting only online to get by mail also, so you have a physical copy.

DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK

DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK!

I have had transactions where I have not received items and the bank will do nothing to help you.
They say they have policies, but when challenged that they don’t follow these themselves, they get angry.

They will steal your money. Go to a bank not run by clowns
