never trust retirement investments (IRA)
to Chase/JP Morgan. they fouled up big time unnecessarily causing taxable event and delaying access to funds years. we had to hire an attorney and go to court just to access the funds. thier financial advisor lied and cost a significant hardship, and continues to work in his position despite the issues he caused.

I am infuriated at my treatment by the…

I am infuriated at my treatment by the Chase Fraud Department. Their patronizing tone of voice, while attempting to convince me their practices are normal, was enough to send me through the roof.
My debit card was suspended after I verified my spending from previous debits listed on my account. I called Chase Customer Support, and I was told the fraud department was the only one who could take care of it. I was skeptical because their version of taking care of it is what got my account suspended in the first place. As I voiced my displeasure, the agent loudly said, “I HEAR you”. She may have heard me, but she did not seem to be listening. There is a difference. I was able to ascertain some information from the next agent I spoke with who expressed more interest in my plight.
I called the fraud department and the agent Jasmine, said she would have to call me back. This is where the condescending rudeness continued. She told me it was completely normal for a customer to have to verify the same transactions more than once. I find this claim to be disingenuous until I get clarification from management. She interrupted me several times and snapped at me. Some of the agents, who are supposed to be there to help, don’t seem like they want to. I am fed up with this kind of treatment. Too many agents at this bank act like they’re doing the customer a favor by even answering the phone. Can you imagine?

I been a long time customer of chase…

I been a long time customer of chase bank. So I the 24th of February, I was at the store and I used my credit card and it was declined. So I went home and called the bank and no one could tell me why my account was closed. They locked me out of both of my accounts.
The day before I paid my renewal fee and I wasn't told that my account was closed. So I told them that I pay my bills on or before the due date. So I asked them to activate it and said that they can't. So I asked if would issue me another card and again they said no.
So now all the people that I pay my bills with the card are sending me notices they were denied payment. I asked them why they didn't call me to let me know before they closed my account again they didn't know why.

Disappointing bank

Chase is actually one of the worst banks I've ever been with. I don't exactly see what the hype about them is. I want to open a savings account since I already have a checking account and they won't allow me to. So I guess I'll have to take my money somewhere else. I'm very disappointed with everything that this bank offers and do not feel like my money's actually secure here.

I just opened an account with the bank for the first time and had great customer service from a gentleman named Alan who works at chase bank in Cross bay in Queens. He was very attentive to my concerns and handled everything with ease. Made me feel comfortable and was very informative. I'm glad he was there to answer any questions I had. Looking forward to continuing my banking with Chase Bank. Thanks Alan.

0 stars! Horrible customer service. They think nothing of withholding your money for 7 days for any number of excuses, even when they know the funds have cleared. They do not care if you have children to feed.

Chase is great when it works; it's AWFUL on corner cases

Chase has terrible customer service. You can't reach a person. Ever. The local branches CANNOT help.

I have/had three accounts with Chase. One is a self-directed trading account, which I moved (terrible decision) from another platform:

- sales rep promised cost-basis would transfer; it was not and created a nightmare every tax season for me.

- the bank doesn't handle partial shares, so you wind up a round number transaction and then "sweeps" where they bundle the partial shares. That is a nightmare every tax season too.

- I got so annoyed over a few years, I finally sold all the stock. Chase REQUIRED me to close the account.

- Chase emails me a tax form at the end of the year. But I can't access it because Chase required me to close the account.

- I have other accounts, so I tried to use the secure messaging online to get the form, but the system won't let me contact them about the tax form because Chase required me to close the account.

- So I call, but the IVR won't let me talk to the brokerage, because Chase required me to close the account.

- So I called the consumer side, go through Chase very painful IVR, get a rep, explain what happened, and they transferred me.

- So, I go through another painful IVR, talk to a rep, they ask me 10,000 security questions and then say they are going to send the form in 1-2 hours.

- I've spent an HOUR trying to get this form. And I hope it actually comes, because if it doesn't have to do this again.

Chase does this every time there is a corner case on every single type of account. And they will happen a few times a year. They will consume hours of your time and they don't care.

When everything works as intended, Chase is pretty good. But when it's bad, it's truly awful.

If I could go back in time and choose any bank other than Chase, I would do it.

I do not recommend this company. You are going to have problems and Chase couldn't care less how much time they suck from you.

I created this Trustpilot account for the sole purpose of sharing this experience.

You've been warned. Do not use Chase for anything.

Continue to have login issues because of Chase Glitch

Continue to have login issues because Chase is having "glitches". Stopped using card until login was resolved. Meanwhile, maintenance fees are coming in and can't be postponed for 90, 60 or 30 days while they resolve their issues. Called customer service for support and no on has the authority to make corrections. Supervisor, Maxine M., said that if you don't have time to make calls (1:48 minutes on the phone BTW) then you should cancel your credit card.

Heres the candy but you cant eat, sale or ask for help.

Chase bank allowed me to have 4 credit cards with them, 2 cards had high balances, the other two had balances that i was able to pay, called to see if they had a hardship program like Premier cards has, only to find out they closed all of my accounts even though i had 2 cards that i made payments on consistently. They never called to see why i couldn't pay or offer some debt solution for payments. they just took over 2 grand i had in credit and closed all the accounts, with no real solution from the 8 people i was transferred to ask about a debt relief program. Never got the answers but to call the credit counselors. poor customer service VERY POOR! No real help but they continued to send me approvals for cards and when i get in a bind, they are divorcing me!!

Thieves of the lowest order. That’s Chase Bank.

If I could go lower than one star, I would. My experience with Chase Bank was painful to say the least. Someone got a hold of my Chase debit card numbers online and had a spending spree. I contacted Chase Bank. They said everything would be fine and subsequently closed my account without telling me and stole my Social Security check that was to bedirect deposited.
My account was closed February 13. My direct deposit went in on the 20th and instead of returning it to me they processed it and stole half of it.
If you can avoid Chase Bank do so they are crooks!

No restrooms for customers

I was visiting a Chase Branch with an account holder and was very disappointed and frustrated that they didn't have restrooms available for customers. One had to completely leave the building and look at surrounding businesses for the use of a restroom. I can understand limiting public use to a restroom. However when it's obvious that you have a customer and an account holder in the building. They should have access to a restroom either with a key or a code. That's the first time I've been in a bank and not had access to a restroom. If I had an account at that bank I would really be frustrated. Having this knowledge I will never recommend Chase or ever consider having an account at a Chase Bank, knowing that if you had to use the restroom you wouldn't be able to. Not a good customer service feature.

To the human responsible behind this company

To issue a wire transfer, you need to be "verified".
Verified by 10+ representatives or so called "Expert" that do not even know how to work their system but learned how to overly say "sorry".

And why on earth would you employ 99% of India on your call centers.
Impossible to understand and are clueless.
Shame on whoever is behind this craphole.
