My wife is a technophobe but has…

My wife is a technophobe but has persevered with her Chatsie phone. She is able to communicate regularly with her friends via Whats App etc. now and is reasonably confident with the procedures.
The support we have received from the customer support team ( especially Milo) has been a life saver on occasions.
Thankyou.

Happy elderly non-tech lady!

Happy elderly non-tech lady!
I am in my 80's and realised a while ago that "the future" is smart phones. However my future is increasingly stiff arthritic fingers and less ability to easily take on board new things. Hence I was attracted to the Chatsie advert. No-one I knew had one so it was a leap in the dark. I was so pleased I made that leap! The set up was simple and the main menu has everything I might need, displayed in big bold fonts with easy access to the internet, messaging and phone calls. I love the way it transfers my spoken messages into text at the press of a button. But really the main attraction for me has been the extremely helpful folk who answer my calls and emails- no question has been ignored and I have never been made to feel a nuisance when I contacted them. I am certainly going to tell all my elderly friends that there is nothing to worry about if they too choose to take that leap in the dark!

A great product that really understands the need

My 93 year old parent was struggling with their new non- smart phone. A previous attempt at a smart phone had been a disaster. With communication breaking down I was searching for a solution and came across Chatsie. It has proved an excellent find! They key thing is that the product really tries- and mainly suceeds- in tackling the issues older users have with smart phones. It cuts out the " layers" and complicated pathways for actions. It removes confusing icons in favour of straightforward action labels. It puts the important stuff where it can be found easily-and the things you really don't want to a accidently mess with are well out of the way. Screen is clear. Text size is adjustable. The ring is loud- and long. The " dictate to text" function is almost life changing for arthritic fingers. [ A speak to dial function would be even more amazing] While WhatsApp as an external app can't be simplified, INCOMING WhatsApp calls and video call are very easy to receive, simply flashing up on the home screen to accept or decline. And the customer service has been flexible, responsive and friendly.

This phone has been a game-changer for Dementia / arthritic wife

This phone has been a game-changer for my wife (osteoarthritis in her hands and early onset dementia). She loves it because everything is so "obvious and simple to understand". She finds it easy to navigate with everything she needs on the homescreen. There is now no chance of her accidentally ending up in deep in the settings and altering things and not knowing what she has done.
A big thank you to the 24/7 UK based support line and the tech team which I had to contact over an issue with transferring the contacts over (a Google account download issue I had). They were patient, and very clear with helping me sort things out.
I have tried other phones recommended for people with the issues my wife has but nothing has worked until I took the plunge with this phone. It is an absolute gem.

A fabulous product

A fabulous product which, if one is able to introduce it to their elderly relative at the right point, could revolutionise communication between generations and make older people feel more in tune with modern technology.
Can't fault the company who were caring and professional in all of their communications and stayed in touch regularly to help out if needed.

Thank you for the kind words - we've put a lot of work and time into making the tech feel as intuitive as possible for our users, as well as making sure our support team are there whenever you need us - it means a lot to us that you found the phone and our services helpful. Keep in touch!

Absolutely rubbish

Absolutely rubbish. It's more confusing than a standard launcher and the phones come with security comprises. It's blocked by banking apps, thanks to the USB debugging being enabled and customer support are pointless as they are not interested in helping and it simply looks awful. BIG launcher was 9 quid and my 80 year old father in law can use his phone with ease now. It even has a big button called SOS that can contact me and send me his location if he's in trouble. This is just a waste of time.

Hello Steve - appreciate you taking the time to review us.

We have a highly dedicated support team who can be reached by phone, email or chat, and an Escalations team who deal with advanced tech issues who would have been able to easily solve the USB debugging issue you identified. We're surprised your query didn't make it through to us as we are available by phone on 020 4524 0751, email via hello@chatsie.com and via chat on our website pretty much any time you need us - simply put, we're very interested in helping indeed!

We're sorry you didn't enjoy the look of the phone; our users report they love the clear layout and single screen presentation, and the fact that each button "does what it says on the tin." We can't be for everyone, but thank you for taking the time to get in touch as it helps us to get better at helping our customers every day. Take care!

Absolutely fantastic product

Absolutely fantastic product - and my 90 year old mother is now happily using a phone after countless other devices proved too frustrating and challenging.

Literally everything you would want has been thought of on this system and it could not be easier to understand. The customer service has also been excellent - truly caring and responsive - going the extra mile by texting me back a little while after my call when I was not certain the SIM card was functioning (it was).

It has been such a great find that my husband is now buying his mother one for her birthday.
