Bought Gift Card which was unusable within minutes notified Cheddar via their form on the 20th of October 2025 today 3rd of November refund hasn't even been initiated despite several emails, next to impossible to reach anyone by phone managed to get through to the assistant CEO Luke issue still not resolved.
Cheddar do better.

I have always really enjoyed using the cheddar app. You can get great savings on cash back in places that you actually shop in all the time. I love the fact that you can ‘gift’ gift cards to others users and I have had so much success with this app. The super boost function is great too. I recently had an issue with a gift card that didn’t work and cheddar managed to get me a full refund. I would definitely recommend this app.

App is perfect for finding discounts, and also an exceptional customer service

Cheddars support sorted out my problem and obtained a refund in 48 hours (over a weekend!!!) super service
Also Cheever as a general item I am finding very easy to use and very usful

Easy to use app, getting cash back on purchases that I would have spend anyways, example: my weekly shop, visit to my local pub and gift vouchers for friends and family. I had an issue caused by Sainsbury's website, not Cheddar, their support was fast, polite and excellent.

It works. I was skeptical, it is simple - quite a basic app - there are some improvements that could be made but I enjoy the savings. Customer service is responsive. 😊

The Cheddar team were great at dealing with my request when I accidentally purchased the wrong gift card, I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Tried shopping normally before I would get any gift cards.

What they tell you happens:
To use Cheddar to get cashback when paying with your bank card at Tesco, download the Cheddar app and link your bank cards to it, then shop at Tesco as you normally would. The Cheddar app will automatically detect your purchases at featured retailers, including Tesco, and deposit cashback into your account.

What then happens is the app lists when you have been there and how much you spent but it’s listed as missed.

Constantly spamming useless and very annoying company no amount of unsubscribe method works despite their claims and email address does not accept replies.

Paid for an IKEA card to use in store but it didn't appear on the app. £299 was taken from my bank account and shows up clearly on the Cheddar open banking dashboard with the correct reference and what I've paid for. What I am disappointed with is the automated email responses until 2 days later, when I got an email from Mustafa saying that I was going to be refunded within 24 hours. 5 days later and still waiting for my money back. Poor communication so far compared to the other financial apps I regularly use.
