Much better then Eharmony. I didn't stay long but seems like a truthful honest site.

I'm not sure what went wrong with this website. It seems to be consistently down-graded over time to the point it's almost non-functional.

Having got rid of the discussion boards which were a great way of communicating with other Christians, they've now even dispensed with the search function!

That's correct - a dating site with no search function!!!!

So, where previously one was able to search for members using metrics such as their locality, the date they joined the site, when they were last online etc., now there's only an "online now" option and a very random "discover" page which merely shows a selection of the past and present members to randomly scroll through. The emphasis is definitely on the former though as clicking on the majority of these members shows that most haven't been active for quite some time!

I'm also rather suspicious of the fact that so many self-proclaimed "Christian" women on this website haven't even got the common courtesy to reply to messages. I'd say less than 10% of messages I've sent have received any reply at all. I'm not necessarily suggesting that these profiles are fake, but it does make one think.
I'm also of the opinion that there is a glaring disparity in gender balance between male and female on this site with massively more men than women on here - although, that's probably true of all internet dating platforms.

Returning to the so-called "search" functions on this site - something quite recent on this site is a sinister "default" setting in terms of the age of those that one is allowed to view on the site. As the few members I've spoken to on this site weren't aware that this limitation was surreptitiously imposed on their profile and that to bypass this and therefore have their profile available for viewing by a wider age-range they'd have to rectify their settings personally, I'm not sure what the agenda behind this strategy is.

It's almost as if a clique of devil-worshipers has recently taken over this site with the intention of making it super-difficult for genuine Christians to meet each other!

Either that or, in the BEST case scenario, the continuing down-grading of site functionality and sneakily imposed restrictions are to maximise profits for the site in a very un-Christian manner.

One thing to note is that totally free websites such as fusion101.com and christiandatingforfree.com have much greater functionality and are completely free to use!

Finally, it's strange and suspicious that all of the recent 5-star reviews for this site are by people who have only 1 or 2 other reviews to their name!

I am experiencing very positive vibes from the responses I have received. The people I have chatted with our wonderful. I have tried other dating sites and have had nothing but negative experiences. I’m so pleased I found the site. I would like to thank the organisation that gave me the opportunity to speak to lovely Christian people.

I've been a member of this site for years now, but the features seem to just get worse and worse over time!

For example, years ago there was a simple 'search function' (which has now totally disappeared). It was very useful and I could put in a whole range of parameters (for free I might add) and search for any girl, in any part of the Country I chose, based on a whole range of personalised filters (IE, 'Faith Denomination', 'Hair Colour', 'Area', 'Keyword Search', 'Body Type', 'Skin Colour', 'What they are after', etc). Then whenever I saw someone that I felt I matched with, I would pay to join and message them. Simple!

Well that very useful feature seems to have long since been ditched to be replaced by a non descript 'Discover' (and 'Filter') button which only serves to show you people in the general vicinity to you but doesn't allow you to view someone that you want based on your own parameters and personal preferences unless you pay.

Also, if I wanted to widen my search to see those in different parts of the Country then it simply isn't possible now (unless you pay)!

I feel like I am being held hostage to a love of mammon here as the site was never like this before! It used to work really well, but after all these changes I have lost respect for the developers and the site owners as it seems like these changes are based on the most anti-Christian motivations possible; they took something that worked fine and have made it totally unworkable for me now!

So, I would definitely not recommend this site to serious Christian!

I had an opportunity to interact with different people and was able decide who I need to continue chatting with after I had evaluated my preferences. I was impressed that Christian Connection gave tips on internet dating as it was my first time trying an online dating app.
I have met someone via the app. We share similar goals and values, we decided to exchange numbers and we have been communicating daily, so we decided to take things to the next level. We both agreed to committing to a relationship and see how far we can take it.

After 59 years of never being truly in love and being in a loveless marriage for 29 years, I finally believe that I have found my one true love, best friend and soulmate all in one. We met on Christian Connection over a week ago, but just ‘hit it off’ right from the outset after viewing each other’s pictures and profiles.
After we both prayed for guidance and spiritual discernment as to whether The Lord wanted us to be together in a lifelong, loving, relationship with Jesus at the very centre, The Holy Spirit confirmed this by speaking his gentle, quiet but powerful voice into our hearts. I never really thought this could ever happen to me, and the beautiful lady in question never thought it would happen to her either after us both being in abusive, controlling marriages. We are taking things slowly but have feelings of love towards each others and appear to be compatible on all levels. I want to to both thank and praise the Lord for bringing us both together, and would also like to thank Christian Connection for providing the platform and opportunity to bring us together in a Christ centred relationship - Hopefully marriage.
I would recommend Christian Connection to any Christian person who belongs to the Lord, and is searching for their one true love, best friend and soulmate.

Everyone is loveable but not everyone is dateable. There is a large proportion of people on Christian Connection who use religion as an idol (i.e., "I identify as Christian therefore I am superior"), which prevents their actual spiritual transformation. So consider if you want to spend your money meeting those. Then there are a number of people who have been on there for 10+ years, and make the discussion boards their 24/7 hangout, speaking about poo and pretending to be animals. As willing as I am to consider this innocent fun, when I approached the religious topics (e.g., no divorce) with a psychological perspective (e.g., choosing emotionally unavailable partners), the forum admin., gave me the ultimatum to either stop or be banned. So I chose to be banned. "Ridiculous" is the word I use to describe the administrative concept that is "Christian Connection." It is a parody of Christianity. If you want to meet some likeminded Christians, your best bet is probably doing a church hop and meeting people face to face. For me and my friends it has been an experience of the undateables, with no psychology allowed.

EDITED TO ADD: Please note Christian Connection's reply, that they are inclusive, etc. Behind the scenes they offered me to be banned or to promise I will not make references to psychology. This two-faced nonsense highlights exactly what they are like. I have other banned members emailing me about this controlling nature of Christian Connection.

I have been on Christian Connection 4 years. I'm late 60s and female. I am no longer a member as now very discouraged. Reason....the site needs to have software that enables a member to say they are actively connected with someone and do not wish to be approached by anyone new. This should be an auto requirement. When its not, you get sent emails with profiles, most long established, as if they are new. Instead they are either no longer an active member or, presumably, they are involved in building a relationship already. Its wrong of CC to keep sending the profiles as if new or active. It makes it look as if they have a successful constant intake of new members. They dont. Thats deceitful. I'm finished sending messages to profiles that don't reply, not even an auto ' I'm no longer looking reply, or they have left membership as no longer looking.

CC you say its just a fact of dating sites that people don't respond to messages or 'ghost'. Actually its not if the software requires up to date selection of status. That gives new members a reality on the true numbers available and that, at basic level of ethos and respect, is the Christian way to act when a service is being paid for.

I met the man of my dreams. I want to say thanks to Christian connection this opportunity.

Used to be a good site until they decided to restrict which age groups a member would even be allowed to view. This was seemingly done by surreptitiously imposing a DEFAULT 10-year age differential making it impossible to view profiles outside of these strict limits unless the profile owner goes into the workings of the site in order to adjust this restriction for their own profile. The result is that, for the average person, it will be impossible to EVEN VIEW someone who is - say - 10 year and 1 day younger than yourself! In apparent breach of extant equality legislation - never mind the renowned loving and inclusive nature of Christianity - the people behind the CC website seem quite committed to the exclusionary nature of this policy and even admit that it is specifically designed to discriminate against older men viewing younger females. That is, they openly seek to exclude people based on the legally protected characteristics of age and gender. Just wish someone would instigate appropriate legal action against these bigots! Next best thing, avoid this site unless you share their bizarre hang-ups and (not-very-Christian) judgemental control-issues in relation to age-gap relationships.

The interesting discussion boards that used to be a feature of the site also seem to have disappeared.
