"What went wrong this time?" :)
"What went wrong this time?", your reviewing platform asks... It almost sounds sarcastic.
Well, this time we received a surprise £301 invoice for replacing a battery for one of the sensors on our alarm system. No explanation on the work order of any extra cost until the invoice turns up, and, YES, batteries are included in our contract. If we are now to be charged for every battery replacement, that's potentially another £3-4,000 a year. I find the monthly cost quite expensive and previously the engineer and staff on the phone have said that we could save money by dropping to an unmonitored system. When asking for a quote, I am now told that moving to unmonitored would more than double our monthly cost. Yet, of course, on the rare times that our alarm has gone off, no one was "monitoring" it. No one rang to tell us.
We are now told that we're paying too little for our contract, and "Chubb are currently operating at a loss whilst maintaining your contract".
How will they survive?
Incidentally, if you have a search on this site for "Dissolved", it'll bring up Chubb's first Trustpilot page, before they decided that too many negative reviews meant that it would be better to start again.

Peace of mind
We have a contract with Chubb who supply and maintain our fire extinguishers. The technician contacts annually and checks each appliance keeping us legal and protected. There are different types of contract so there is choice.

Straight forward job remains uncompleted after 9 weeks, 6 phone calls to Chubb & 2 emails to the Customer Complaints Team - who have not even bothered to acknowledge my emails or reply. Do not use this company!

Turned up when stated they would. Very friendly and efficient engineer. No mess, no fuss and a very thorough job, even gave a couple of good tips.
The contract seems a little expensive but should I need to call them out, it's covered.
