Great service from start to finish. Bought a 4 year old Polestar 2. I had some reservations about making such a large purchase online but decided to bite the bullet.
The process on the website was fairly simple and straightforward. I’m a cash buyer so it’s just a matter of doing the bank transfer. Naturally you get thrown all the ‘do you want warranty, gap cover, paint cover, wheel cover etc etc’ no thanks. I was having the car delivered and arranged for Saturday morning.
So there was a week and a bit wait. No problem and (to my mind) that gives Cinch ample time to prep the vehicle. In the meantime I’m sent a couple of emails re taxing and insuring.
Do tax the car even if its the end of the month and you’ll pay nearly a months tax for a few days cover (DVlA tax from the first if the month) because after the car is delivered the online v5 you have been sent expires and you’d then have to wait a couple of weeks for a paper v5 to arrive before you can legally drive your new car!
Anyway. Cinch inform you you’ll be texted 30 minutes before delivery, my delivery was booked for 9-11AM. I got a text from the delivery lady at 9-ish. She messaged again and called (I missed the call) at 9:20 to say she would arrive in 10 minutes. Well. It took her 12 minutes so I’m bitterly disappointed!…
No, I’m joking!
Anyway she was a lovely person, showed me around the car, was very enthusiastic about having driven loads of them, showed me everything and some of the ins and outs of the info system. I didn’t have a great amount of time to physically inspect the car but it looked ok. I asked to check the charging cables, one looked strange in a photo but as I suspected it was because it was brand new with bubble wrap around the connector. So we shook hands and bid each other farewell and she walked up the street: either going to walk to train station or get a taxi to there from around the corner.
So yesterday was a busy day because at the same time the new car arrived the buyers of my old car had arrived so I spent time sorting all that and then had other things to do so didn’t even look at the car until 7pm. So I took it out for a quick spin: fab.
Then I gave it a good look around, the tires look almost brand new. The paintwork is immaculate, could pass for a new car. The interior is almost like new, very few marks. The only thing I noticed was a small stain in the fabric going into the rear armrest cup holder I.e it’s under the arm rest you can’t see it. It really does look, to all intents and purposes like a new car other than you can see the brake disks aren’t brand new.
I’m having difficulty getting the car to pair with the Polestar phone app but online chats tell me everyone has this issue so there’s something for me to play around with. So today I’ll be messing with that and setting up different user profiles for me and my wife (it’s one with the plus pack, fully electric seats, pan roof, Harmon Kardon and heat exchanger).
And then out later for a picnic for another spin. And if anything occurs there’s that 14 day no quibble return under distance selling but I’m hoping there are going to be no issues because the car is pretty bloody brilliant.
So Cinch (so far) have been fantastic. Very highly recommended.

Pick a car and arrange payment then you pick collection or delivery- delivery for me was cheaper than collecting 60 more away?
The wonderful Otis messaged first thing and kept me updated on his journey and made absolutely sure I was satisfied and happy with the new car before taking my old one away. I now have 14 days and 250 miles to cancel the deal and get my money back ( or presumably pick another car). The only slight issue was that they didn’t provide a battery health check result prior to delivery, but first check looks good albeit car pulls to the left a bit which I will investigate further

Well they made the part exchange go smoothly ...smooth transition. Gave me a fair price. Turns out im paying 70 pounds less a month for a car.. which is fantastic.. good customer service. They look after you.. when I left about 2 hours later somebody phoned me to see if I got home ok and if I was satisfied with the car.. I've never had that before.. that was new.the car itself is fantastic I love it..exactly what I wanted. Thankyou to all at cinch.

Horrendous. Nothing but hassle. First car randomly got cancelled the day before delivery. Tried again then they couldn't deliver until a week later even though promising it would be ready for our holiday (4 days time from booking) then we were told it wouldn't be ready in time, rebooked for a week later, the morning it is supposed to be delivered (Saturday) we get an email to say it's been delayed and they will update up on the TUESDAY! This is the only day my husband had available for the delivery and they still couldn't do it. I have a feeling come Tuesday they will contact us again to say it's still delayed. On top of all the hassle trying to get in touch with customer service, IMPOSSIBLE!!! I will never recommend this place to anyone.
