Once you contact Circet the service is excellent (Aaron)
The major impediment is BT - to whom they are sub contracted. BT processes simply do not work well.
Very bad company
Update: The internet has been installed and the man was very nice and professional. If they turn up, the work is quickly done and very professional. However I was waiting 6 weeks and they cancelled multiple times. Be prepared for a long way with Very bad customer service, but once they arrive everything goes very smoothly.
Old review: Very bad company with ignorant staff. The customer service lines are a joke. They'll pick up and then put the phone down and you can hear them talking and laughing in the background until you hang up. Everytime they cancel they say some rubbish such as "our technician had an emergency" or "rang in sick" and will always leave it up until the last minute to call you. They're the only ones in the country providing the service so they don't have to care about how customers feel or the quality of service.
Full fibre installation
We had engineer David Green to install our fibre broadband yesterday. We booked it with sky and only had to wait a week for it to be installed. David rang us on the day to let us know exactly when he would arrive. His work was fast and neat with minimum disruption on the premises. He explained what had been fitted and the switch over was seamless. We had a few queries the following day and David answered our messages and went above and beyond to help us out. My experience of changing broadband has never been so smooth and easy, an excellent engineer...fantastic customer service. We can't thank you enough.
Worst service company ever Overhead fibre optic broadband cable…
Overhead fibre optic broadband cable damaged. Contacted Vodafone on the day 4/11/25, received a call from Circet same day asking what the problem was, I explained that the cable had been ripped from the telegraph pole and that it would require a replacement cable. Appointment made for 7/11/25 between 12:00 and 16:00, no one from Circet arrived. New appointment made for 11/11/25 between 12:00 and 16:00, Engineer arrived around 15:00 stayed less than 15 minutes and then told me that he was told to leave my house and go to another job, cable still not reconnected. Next appointment 17/11/25. I wont be holding my breath. Absolutely the worst service company I have ever encountered. They have the telecommunications structure almost completely to themselves and obviously can do what they like without having to answer to anyone.
Pathetic ineffectual attempt at offering installation on multiple failed occassions
I am so sorry that I didn't read reviews of the lack of performance of this uncaring pathetic entity. My woes began when I had to update my new credit card expiry date with Eir in September. A lovely chap named Patrick sold me on the notion of upgrading to fibre broadband which was now " available in my area " He transferred me to Circet. After 18 mins of elevator music my call dropped off. I rang a number, cue elevator concerto 11 for 14 mins. I bought in to the blurb presented to me by the person who eventually answered my call ( which was in a queue, very important to us and if I wanted to bale out they would call me back when my call got to the top of the queue... ), I agreed to all terms and conditions ( which is recorded for training porpoises etc.sic... ) they took my bank details and told me a technician would survey my property shortly prior to carrying out the upgrade. I waited a month and phoned Eir enquiring why my monthly bill had increased but I hadn't yet received my upgrade. They referred me to Circet... I contacted them asking why no technician had interacted with me, they looked at their records and despite me having confirming emails and texts / WhatsApp messages, claimed they had no record of me siging up for the fiber product over a month earlier. I expressed my annoyance and disbelief. Went through the entire process for the 2nd time and was given an installation date of 05 November 2025 PM ( I believe I was " prioritised ".... Over 18 to be in attendance on site on the proposed installation date. I waited and waited and @ 15:30 received a call and subsequent message asking if a rescheduled date of 10 November 2025 08:00 - 12:00 was acceptable, I accepted. Nobody arrived all morning ( I was obliged to ask my daughter to come and bring my wife to a funeral of a friend because I had to wait for the installer, I had hoped I would make it to the cremation after the requiem mass if they arrived at close to scheduled 08:00 and completed the task but they rang near midday and asked if the PM would suffice, I replied that this was the 2nd time this happened and I had no choice... At 16:00 I rang to ask if the technician was going to arrive at all today, my call was batted off from the " Customer care center " to an overworked technician who was working nearby but had, he said 2 " priority " jobs on his worksheet today which was unusual he said. The job he was stuck at involved running 350 meters of underground fiber cable to a large premises and remained uncompleted at that hour. My house required 30 meters of cable from a 10 meter pole into a bungalow. The chap said it was unlikely he would get to me as it was getting dark. He said I'd probably get a call around 19:00 when they re assessed the jobs for tomorrow... Tuesday 11 November 2025 and imagined that as I was a priority job today that I might be on top of the list on Tue. I got a call from HQRS Circet Dublin saying that they could fit me in on Tuesday so I said I suppose I'll have to stay in all day tomorrow again also so... but was told no I wasn't a priority and the Tuesday was Tuesday week... 8 days away... I obviously set out all my complaints re the matter I even said to the girl on the phone that although I was quite vexed with the situation my daughter worked on a similar job to her so I didn't want to be rude or cause offence to her. I refused the appointment date offered but she insisted that I couldn't " roll " my priority on to a closer date. I enquired how to go about cancelling the entire unfulfilled project due to my frustration and my lack of faith that the task would be completed on that future date, she told me she'd cancel it at her end and for some reason I have to contact Eir also. To be honest she hung up on me with undue haste due to I'd imagine being unable to progress the matter to a positive result and most likely work load and the lateness of the hour...So in the morning I now need to find a different broadband provider and also cancel my wife's mobile phone with Eir which was an add on to our household package. Other than being annoyed, I'm just wondering; How can a National entity such as this be so uncaring, inefficient and inept? But ironically I'm not all that surprised given their inability to get matters corrected in the 1st instance having a glaring problem identified and then magnifying the problem by not availing of several opportunities to put it right and that is the kernel of the probity the likes of these " entitled entities in Ireland " answerable to nobody including the comptroller or supposed regulator LOL.
Absolute a disgrace
Absolute a disgrace. Surely to god in this day and age they are employing the correct amount of staff.
Had a faulty line and contacted Vodafone immediately which was on a Tuesday. Explained to them that I was Oncall for my job and depended on the wifi as I cannot get any phone coverage where I live. Vodafone said it would put in a request as an emergency. Received a phone call the next day from Circet to say the earliest where they could get to me was the following week, nearly 6 days later. Girl on the phone had a dismissive attitude and it was like she couldn't care less.
At least when we had our previous company, as bad enough as they were, they came out immediately to fix the problem.
Paying for a service monthly which we are not currently receiving, even though Vodafone said i would be recompensated. Dont know how they will do that as we pay direct debit monthly. I will be looking further into this.
Stephen (Circet) Great Work
Stephen did a wonderful job installing full fibre broadband for us in Cullybackey, Ballymena, Northern Ireland.
He was friendly, polite and very efficient.
Thank you Stephen.
Debbie Freeman.
Horrible company to deal with
Horrible company to deal with.
Their appointment department have just been in touch and have informed me that they only take bookings for a low lying wire for the next 48hrs. Today is Monday but if I want to book a friday repair when I'm at home, I need to cancel this booking and place another request with Vodafone. This is very Frustrating as I just sat on Hold for 30mins with Vodafone to get this booking.
A Job Well Done!
Dennis and Kosten arrived at my house yesterday to install a fibre cable and set up my new Sky broadband hub.
The job was executed professionally and efficiently, and took no longer than an hour to complete.
Sometimes in life the only thing we crave is being recognised by the quality of work we do. So I would like to extend that recognition to them both.
Well done, lads - on a job well done.
No show for appointment
Had an appointment booked for broadband repair. Nobody showed up or called so I spend allt he time at home waiting in vain. Very unprofessional.
Came to my house on behalf of @nie to
Came to my house on behalf of @nie to move a pole. We reluctantly agreed but were promised no distribution to our house. Left my yard torn up with diggers, I’m walking through 6 inches of mud , cut debris left, dangerous equipment left on the pole in my field and the evening they left I spent two hours washing down my cobble drive way as they used it as a race track all day. Mud and dirt everywhere! I have tried calling, sending a contact on the website and ringing technicians - nothing back! Dreadful company, even worse customer service and no regard for peoples property when carrying out work. Stay well clear!!! I am seeking legal as I have before and after videos and won’t be footing the bill for their mess!
Wfi upgrade
James came on time explained exactly what he was going to do fitted and upgraded wfi good service thanks
I wish Energia would use a different…
I wish Energia would use a different company to install home chargers for EVs because they are very disorganised and a bit ridiculous in the way they handle the installs. They demand a video call to check the property (which takes two weeks to get) when they could just give a list of what they need and homeowner could make video and send. Then you have to wait at least another two weeks before they can book an install. Surely, they could book that at the same time of the video and if there is a problem cancel it since it is two weeks in advance anyway. Would take the pressure off the consumer who is relying on a granny charger.
Smashed my window
Smashed my window, have stalled paying for it for 3 months, there is never anyone available to speak to me, they promise to call back, but never do.
Brilliant work- thank you!
Engineer came to install initial part of fibre connection. Although he wasn’t able to complete the whole job due to needing traffic control, he was exceptional in terms of his professionalism and completed the necessary work in a timely manner. His work was also really tidy. I’m not sure so easy with an old stone property, but he did this without any fuss. Was also very helpful with our neighbor who unfortunately did not have the same positive experience as we did when they had the same work. I feel he needs recognition for great work! Thanks Vincent Summers!
