I reserved Free tour por Bergamo - Tour en Espan̈ol, for May 7th at 3:00. Nobody showed up with a red umbrella at the Mirador Porta San Giancomo, as instructed. Waited until 3:20. Bergamo is small. Tried walking around to see if maybe the tour has started somewhere else and I could join, nothing. What a shame, I always use Civitatis and never had any issues.

Easy and clear reservation

I recently joined Gareth Smith's free walking tour in Manchester, and I cannot recommend it enough. Gareth brought the city's history to life. It was genuinely interesting, high energy, and so much fun that the time just flew by, and we barely noticed the crazy storm that rained in the middle of our tour. In fact, Gareth's energy and attitude made it feel like just another fun quirk of this amazing city.

I enjoyed the experience so much that I am now an official loyal customer and will continue to use the app whenever I plan a visit, as the booking process is seamless and the tour offerings are varied and interesting, covering both mainstream and niche interests, both at free and paid jaunts. It's one of the most affordable ways to see a city without sacrificing quality.

I booked again with them in London. This time, I also had the opportunity to be guided in my native language by an Italian guide, and it was, once again, interesting and fun. If you are looking for a way to explore that is cheap, fun, and reliable, look no further. I will definitely keep booking with them, and if you happen to be in Manchester, look for Gareth, thank me later!

The guide was an excellent communicator and often delivered the info with humour which created interest. She engaged really well with everyone on the walk and provided a great deal of historical and contextual communication which was really useful. She guided us to interesting places and he stories often created interest in exploring these locations in more detail.

I booked my FREE walking tour of Edinburgh and wasn't really sure what to expect from a FREE tour but I was absolutely delighted and would highly recommend it to other visitors to Edinburgh. My walking tour was on the 23rd April 2026 and my guide was Jen. She was, without doubt, the best part of the tour. Full of incredible local knowledge, a fabulous quirky personality and made sure that we all felt included. Her knowledge is incredible and the city is so rich with history & culture, it felt like finding a hidden jewel. Well Done Jen. Signing up for activities was easy.
Not enough user communication.

Be very careful using Civitatis if you are using it for booking free walking tours in English. I booked 3 tours with them a only 1 of them ended up being in English, the other two were in Spanish. All 3 times I received a voucher from them confirming the tour was booked and in English. After getting burned the first time I made sure I called the actual tour operator the night before or day of to make sure they were doing an English tour at my booked time. Luckily they told me no and gave me another company to try. They said Civitatis does this often.

We enjoyed well the guided tour with our friendly guide Toto. 👍👍

Cancelled without informing

The tour was a great introduction to the beautiful city of Guadalajara and it's rich culture. The guide Santiago was very knowledgeable, and halogen, and funny. I would highly recommend this tour

Our trip was well organized and everything was as advertised. The local guides spoke a pretty good Italian and were really nice and always available.

I am following up on a failed transfer in Lima, where the passenger was dropped at the wrong hotel—an issue fully acknowledged by Civitatis. Despite this clear service failure, they continue to refuse a refund, arguing that the passenger should be satisfied with being dropped off 15 minutes away from the correct location.
The contradictory responses from their post-service support—initially suggesting a resolution was possible, only to later claim that nothing can be done—demonstrate a disregard for customer experience and a refusal to take responsibility for a clear breach of contract.
This is a lamentable level of service and one question whether human or AI is actually running their post service départemental . Exercise extreme caution when booking with them.
