Great experience! Been looking for a Kilt Suit (kilt, waistcoat jacket all matching) for some time, but the typical "Cairngorm Slate" ex hire stuff was expensive on other sites. Nice to see a range... See more

It's interesting to read some of the recent comments made on Trust pilot about this company. I showed the 'tartan' (shiny nylon sprayed on fabric) to three other tartan manufacturers in Scotland and they were appalled. This company refused a chargeback from my credit card company who were also of the opinion that the trouser fabric and seam alignment was shoddy. It really doesn't matter that they claim the trousers are misaligned on their website therefore they have the right to send out substandard goods which match. It's interesting to compare this company's attitude to complaints compared to other organizations who understand the importance of good customer service and maintaining good relationships with their buyers. Three months on, I am still really appalled that they can get away with masquerading as a purveyor of quality tartan goods and then dispatch items of the standard that I received. I am also horrified that their customer service is so poor and having written to the owner, his attitude was no better. I really would like to make potential customers that the quality of these garments is terrible and not cheap.

Made an order for £125 as a gift for my dads special birthday, they said would take 2 weeks to delivery. It arrived four weeks later and the.
Realised I had been charged taxes of about £10 which wasn’t aware had been charged until after delivery..(probably came from China).
Terrible quality, not what I would expect for the price I paid. Very disappointed and have a rubbish cheap looking present for my dad now. Avoid!

I have been wanting a leather kilt for quite a while. There are dozens available on the internet from many sources, both in UK and most typically Pakistan - all in the region of £75-£150. I was seduced a couple of times by the relative cheapness of those items only to be disappointed. Their main failing was the pleats being too few and too shallow and the tiny overlap of the kilt’s apron with the kilt. The lack of material and tiny overlap caused the kilts to gape open when one sits - even with your legs tight together. Also the leather was never as soft as one would hope.
After these disappointments it was with some trepidation I ordered a leather kilt from Clan and with it costing almost 5 times as much, I was expecting something really good. I was not disappointed - what I received was simply superb. The kilt is superbly made, beautiful stitching detail, a pair of sturdy straps and buckles to fasten it and a pair of belt loops correctly placed. The kilt has 22 beautifully crafted pleats that fall evenly at the back and that, combined with the complete overlap of the apron to the kilt, means there are 4½ yards of soft supple leather - weighing in at 4½ pounds. I ordered a 36” waist and despite a bit of Christmas swelling I’m pleased to say that there is quite a bit of leeway in the sizing so it still fits well. Unsurprisingly the photo on Clan’s web site has been copied and used by other kilt sellers purporting to sell that garment, so buyers beware.
If you are in the market for a great leather kilt made to the same quality as the best Scottish kilt makers this is what you should consider.

Our experience of this outfit is really not good. In particular due to their very very late sending of a sizeable order to us in the Netherlands and then their very poor customer service in addressing delivery difficulties relating to Customs issues. To compound matters, their ‘Hamish’ comes across as a most arrogant and unhelpful individual who, in our opinion has no place in facilitating good customer relations.

From the start point of designing my own tartan to submitting the finished design was very straightforward. The final article when it arrived was immaculately finished. My only (very small) criticism was the time scale to receipt of the item, BUT the team were very helpful and supportive on this matter (thanks Hamish). I do appreciate that this was NOT an off the peg tartan.

Really disappointed with the scarf I ordered.
Very thin material and definitely not worth the money.
I was hoping for some description of the heritage of the tartan but what actually arrives is a wafer thin tartan cloth in a plastic bag.
Terrible value for the price paid!

Ordered a kilt for our wedding, to be delivered to the EU, it was listed with an expected delivery time which was exceeded, we were given a new date, this also passed. There were issues with the mill, totally understandable.
Paid extra for faster delivery, however unfortunately missed the wedding. Ordered in March, it is now December and the kilt still has not arrived - the wedding was in June. Then a few weeks ago a bill arrived from customs for a further EUR200 which, since we don't have the urgency anymore, seemed ridiculous. It was sent back to Scotweb Clan where we asked for it to be sent to family in the UK instead, they are now asking for more postage when orders over 49GBP are advertised as free postage.
It's all just a lot of hassle, the customer service evade our questions and seem disconnected from the actual service. They don't seem to want to work with us on a solution to their delay.

I bought scarves from Scotweb CLAN, and I loved the service and the quality of their products! I highly recommend shopping with them! Hamish was very kind and helped me finalise my order, he answered all the questions that I had, the tartan that I was interested in was almost gone, but I wanted pocket squares. So Hamish included some left over pieces so I could make use of them. I was very touched!!
Hallo,
I bought a William Lockie camelhair shawl collar cardigan and I am delighted with it.
I chose size L that fits perfectly for me and quality is fantastic, very warm and cozy.
Also the attention and help given by Mrs Hazel was extraordinary!
Thanks very much !

The tartan weight I ordered was not in stick, and the delay would cause me to not have my tartan for an event. The Clan team contacted me soonest and offered me an acceptable alternative. A+ communications!

Horrific service from start to finish. We ordered a kilt in May for an upcoming event in November. Baring in mind it’s a 12 week turn around for orders we believed that this was plenty of time to get the outfit made and posted. It still hasn’t arrived. It has been pushed back twice and our suspected delivery date now is two days after the event. We have had very little contact and no explanations given. I am absolutely disgusted and devastated, £2000 wasted because what is the point in a kilt arriving after the events already taken place? We’re really upset and annoyed and feel like we’ve thrown money away with no chance of getting it back and now nothing to wear on the day.
Even if it is miraculously rushed in the next 2 weeks there is very little chance of the clothes arriving on time. To be honest the day won’t be ruined (obviously) but it will certainly leave a sour taste in our mouths and be highly embarrassing as we’ve told all of our guests about this amazing, traditional, custom-made outfit that will be wearing that will be fullfull of family heritage and then turn up wearing and off the rack suit that’s been bought last minute. Can’t even begin to explain how upset and annoyed I am.
Ordered my Kilt well in advance of my party knowing that getting a custom kilt was going to take a while. My party is November 15th so I ordered the kilt 24th May with plenty of time. The estimated delivery date was 5th October.
I then received and email on the 8th of October saying that it was delayed and the hadn't started it yet. (THREE DAYS AFTER EXPECTED DELIVERY!!) with the new delivery date being 7th November.
I emailed repeatedly saying how important this day was and it was the only reason that I ordered the kilt in the first place. They assured me that they would do everything they could to ensure it would arrive on time.
I have just received an email today stating that it has been delayed again until 18th of November with no explanation why, making this kilt order totally pointless now.
This has ruined the prospect of the day and I feel like a total fool spending so much money on a company that I thought I could trust.
I just want my money back and to forget about it all. This has been really stressful and upsetting.
Very Helpful Staff, with Knowledge and Experience.

This morning my hostess skirt arrived. It is simply a SHOWSTOPPER! Even more impressive is that it fits me PERFECTLY! ( I was worried about this as I have an unusual body shape).
The patience, the professionalism and skill used in the making of this item shows through in the way it hangs, the quality of the material and the way the tartan pattern is aligned.
THANKYOU ALL for making what I hoped would be nice into a TOTALLY STUNNING skirt!
I had this stole made to wear at my wedding. It is thin, not soft, and doesn't drape to the point where is feels like I'm wearing a tablecloth over my shoulders. Definitely not luxurious.
A lot of money for something which will essentially end up being draped over the back of a chair. Hugely disappointed.

Outstanding customer service (again). They were flexible and responsive to my request, which is par for the course at the website. I have been ordering items since 2007, and I have never had a bad experience. The one time I had a question, the person on the other end of the phone was very patient and very helpful.
