Absolutely Awful Shocking experience…
Absolutely Awful Shocking experience with this company.
Appointment was made on 20th September 2022 and still not resolved clement Browne! Steve master of product came to remove plastic cover caps from the shutter doors and now they don’t close properly. Also the shutter door is not flush out/ line from the frame also can’t operate the top Louvre because I can not reach/ open/ close. Also you can see the cracks/ dinting where the clement Browne plastic cover caps have been removed these shutters look horrendous!

This review is unfortunately full of falsehoods and omits to describe the full journey between Clement Browne and Mrs.Gagrica, which goes back to 2021 and does not mention what the true motivation is here (to now, in 2023, receive a full refund).
To give some balance and a perspective from our side, we first visited the home of Mrs Gagrica in March 2021 and again on October 2021 - both times without cost or obligation - and we sent a free sample shutter to her home too so she could double-check the quality and specification before placing her order in November 2021 for £632.29.
There is no question at all that we have supplied as per said sample and that the installation is flawless, and was completed within the time-line we agreed.
Initially, this review does not mention that Mrs Gagrica insisted that we return (without cost) to remove the cover caps she mentions, which we also advised not to do and sent images defining why this would be best not to happen.
Also, Steve (who is our head of installations and has to travel from Essex to Nottingham) discovered that the doors do close properly on our last visit and demonstrated this to the customer while at her home - I understand that it is the noise of the shutters closing that the customer does not like.
As for the customer not being able to reach the top louvre, this is a new complaint, but surely we cannot be accountable for the height of any individual or the height of a customers windows - we can supply a reach pole, but this comes at a small additional cost, the likes of which Mrs Gagrica is always reluctant to pay.
We have returned to the home of Mrs Gagrica a number of times at her request, always without charge, for various matters all of which are not warranty claims: Mrs Gagrica didn’t like the hinge colour she chose, Mrs Gagrica didn’t like the screw cover caps, to return and remove said cover caps at Mrs Gagrica’s request etc - this business even removed and repainted the entire order FREE OF CHARGE to a new colour as Mrs Gagrica told us this would resolve all matters for her - sadly, it didn’t!
To give some validity to our response, this matter has been referred to and reviewed by our industry governing body who have commented that there appears to be no fault with the shutters and that they are fit for purpose.
For the record, Clement Browne is happy to work towards resolving all issues with our customer but we have to charge for non warranty work going forward.
highly recommended service & product
the whole experience with clement browne is pleasant from start to end. the sales consultant & the measuring engineer are both punctual, nice & knowledgeable. we are particularly impressed by the work of the fitter, darren. i was first surprised to see him came alone on the appointment date. how can he do the installation all by himself? how long will he take? but my worry was soon found unnecessary. he is quiet, focused, professional, efficient & neat. he even brought his own henry to clean up the place afterwards! my family & i are so pleased with our new shutters. it definitely worth the wait. highly recommended.

Professional and extremely helpful
Had my upstairs shutters installed November 2019. Loved them so much had shutters for downstairs in December 2020. Recently identified a problem and Clement Browne were very quick to respond and resolve. In all of my dealings with the company I’ve found everyone to be professional and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend Clement Browne.

Fantastic company
Excellent service from start to finish. The shutters are of excellent quality as was the fitting of the shutters. Everything was managed exceptionally well from the measuring for the shutters to the installation. I find Clement Browne as excellent service and far more cost efficient that other shutter companies out there.

Top quality and great service!
We had shutters for one large double bay window and a medium sash window installed.
The whole experience was very professional, well managed and executed to perfection.
Quality is top of the scale and the finish shows great attention to details.The shutters were installed by an unquestionably skilled fitter and craftsman. On time, tidy, clean and above all very polite and amicable.
We chose Clement from seeing shutters at a friends house and glad we did.
We would recommend Clement Browne without reservation or hesitation at all!
Customer service was also brilliant: responsive, clear on timelines and accommodated as and when needed.

Review of Shutters supplied by Clement Browne
We had purchased shutters for several windows in the house and were very pleased with the results. However, shutters for one window fouled on the adjacent beam, meaning they couldn't be fully opened.
When made aware of this situation, Clement Browne were quick to inspect the installation.
After remeasuring they redesigned the replacement shutters for that window.
These replacements, manufactured at their cost, were installed on 27 October 2022.
We are very pleased with the improved design and the high quality of workmanship both for the product and their installation.

The entire process from ordering to fitting was longer than expected due to many reasons, however when the fitting was finally completed, I have no complaints whatsoever. The person who fitted the shutters was an absolute professional and my house is finally complete!
