The customer service was also a major point of frustration, with many reviewers describing it as unresponsive and unhelpful, particularly when trying to resolve account issues or technical problems. Some people also felt that the user experience was poor, citing difficulties with account initialization, domain registration, and the inability to access support without being a paying customer. Slow and incomplete support

I bought a domain thru them and was trying to setup my side. Something was not working on their side so I contacted their support.
Sadly very very slow and incomplete support.

Finally after two weeks their things magically started working. But their supported was 100% useless.

Cloudflare is a hidden gem

Cloudflare is a hidden gem. Recently I have spent a lot of time looking in to their Workers eco system and I was amazed with the free tiers they offer. The pricing for any additional requests and 0 Egress is a big deal for me. I am a bit skeptical about D1 while the pricing is great I am concerned that a single threaded database is not capable for scaling in to a big service. Hopefully we will see some new offerings of more advanced databases on Cloudflare including NoSQL databases.

ATROCIOUS AND MIND-BOGGLING!

How this company got many websites to use its service - and still use to this very day - can only be explained by its lead entry into the DDOS-protection-service market. Back then when we had the likes of Lulzsec, Jester and Anonymous e.t.c. - employing DDOS en masse. Now I'm horrified: Almost every major company, that I work with, uses Cloudflare! Like clockwork: From 4pm - 6pm UTC, this POS starts loading and fail in verifying. You sit for hours - waiting to do time-sensitive stuff! Maybe you want to withdraw funds! How the hell is this service still in use?! Look at reCAPTCHA - the one that I've used to access this website so I can write this review - working just fine and promptly.

Bought a domain but no support

Bought a domain via Apple link for setting up own mail domain. Got a cryptic email saying the purchase failed but the charge appeared on my account. Sent two separate requests for help and got no reply. Charge didn’t complete in the end so tried to delete account which failed as it says I have a domain with them! Non-existent customer service, avoid them if you can!

I absolutely DETEST Cloudflare & Want them OFF MY BACK!

I absolutely DETEST Cloudflare & Google's Recaptcha nonsense! I am an ordinary citizen, law-abiding, trying to get by with severe health problems; and Cloudflare & Google are CONSTANTLY RUINING MY LIFE/HEALTH and WASTING precious hours I need, to take care of significant life duties. I can't even order groceries from instacart.com or order a meal from grubhub.com without those overbearing dolts at Cloudflare & Google interfering. Many times they prevent me completely from accomplishing my tasks. Tonight I needed to print a mailing label, and I failed at ALL the sites I tried: usps.com, stamps.com, paypal.com. WHY? Because I am using an older computer and Cloudflare & Google have decided to harass me and my older system?
There is no excuse for this sort of harassment! The only site, strangely enough, that DOES NOT HASSLE ME is Amazon.com!! I wonder why!? Maybe it's because I order frequently and am a positive asset to their bottom line? WHEN will Someone step in and stop this intolerable harassment of innocent folks like me, by the control freaks at Cloudflare/Google??
I also wonder WHO gave Cloudflare/Google so much power & authority online so that they can literally starve us by blocking our ability to order food?! WHY do they have so much power? There was a MASSIVE computer failure a few months ago, I think it was November or December 2025, and it was Cloudflare's fault. Did they have to fork over any penalty fees for all the lives and businesses they ruined when they caused that outage? And I'm sure it was not the first and won't be the last outage they cause. Someone has to step in and put a stop to this madness! :-(((

Incompetent tech support

Cloudflare has incompetent and slow technical support. They seem to be unable to respond to basic questions in a coherent way. When they provide guidance, their prescribed steps don't match their UI (even from their video). It seems like they do not care about tech support at all.

Verification so good even humans are bots

Can't even get an important form filled out and sent off today because their system fails every time I click "verify you're human" by throwing an error. No message, just meaningless "error" showing up. No available retries and I have to fill out the form again each time to get a retry, which also fails. Absolute garbage system.

Total junk.

Total junk.
Blocked everything and anyone, their IT - kids cant even made 1 time verification, so you must "confirmed" it again and again and again.
But the most important qiestion: does CF made internet free from scammers and robots?
NO.
It only made ordinary peoples live worster.
CF against peoples, not against scummers.
I think I will cut off all services that using it out of my life in a protest against this idiotic company.
You using CF?
No, I wont be your customer, good luck.
Stay with thems and play in your stupid games together.
Without me.
It will be the best action and solution against CF.
I was seeing payed posts about "internet ruled by scummers and bots".
Lol.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Famous cheap move for control every aspect of our life - imagining a super - duper treat.
Tell it to kiddies.

How Special is Cloudflare to me

What Cloudflare has meant to me. Cloudflare is one of those companies that has become very special to me as an individual and as a business owner. Although I am still learning and finding new things about Cloudflare, they have been very patient with me plus they understand the areas I need help in to make my business feel secure and they do that basically for free. Their library is huge with educational stuff as well as the free/paid products they offer plus the companies they align themselves with is impressive while they continue to find ways to improve and make everyone feel safer on the internet. Hopefully someone will read this review and give Cloudflare a shot. I need Cloudflare in order for my business to succeed.

Horrible customer service

As with so many businesses these days, there's absolutely no way to talk with a human. Which means when something goes wrong--like you receive dozens of cloudflare charges all of a sudden--there's literally no way to resolve it other than cancelling your account and causing an unholy mess of all your systems.

This company just blocks anyone using a…

This company just blocks anyone using a VPN, despite them being an actual customer. As know I can't buy anything from a number of major sites, including the latest block, IKEA. These businesses are loosing revenue from thousands of potential customers. Cloudflare of course will be telling it's clients massive numbers that it's protected thuer site from. Stop using thus service unless you want to block real customers.
