Support almost new readers! …
The only issue is the push from Clover to purchase new readers after 4 years. That is something that requires a change.
Horrific experience
Horrific experience! First they nickel and dime you. For every feature you may want, they upsell you to another app for another ~$50/mo. After 2 years, they raised our monthly fee by $50/mo. without adding any features. Now that we're transitioning to Square, we had a .25 cent reject and they charged us $25! With little notification we didn't see that and they charged us $25 a day until we saw it!

Very pleased that we went with Clover and they provide excellent customer service! We called other processing companies and they were rude and not helpful so calling Clover was a great decision. Helped us understand how to get started, suggested ways to save money and we are so happy!

If i could give it zero stars I would. I only had the account for less than a week. I was told that I would not be charged and as soon as I downloaded the app I was charged $21.60 I immediately closed the account and still was charged and then they charged me again the next month. To get a person on the phone is near impossible and then they email me and tell me they will only refund $19.95 because they don't refund the tax back and was denied the second refund because they said io already had a refund going. this company is the biggest SCAM I have ever seen DO NOT sign up with them.

If I could give a “0”, I would. Clover Merchants Services stole from our daily batch and then also hit our bank every month for thousands of dollars. They also hit our bank 2 times a day before we ever opened. I was promised that we would receive a refund but now that I have went with Sky4, they refuse to refund the thousands of dollars they stole from us. We opened on August 28th of 2025. Avoid them at all cost, they will such you dry and you will not get any help.

The operation of the POS terminals and the Flex handheld is very intuitive and works flawlessly. Plus having the local rep in the area was excellent when we first started up.
Unable to cancel the Clover subscription.
I tried for three months to cancel our Clover POS subscription. I kept getting the run around and a endless loop of passing me on to someone who can help. I tried the phone, chat, and email. Multiple people said they could help and cancel the subscription but never did. I had the bank block all charges from them. It has been over six months and they are still trying to make automatic charges.

Clover consistently fails to deliver.
Clover has been extremely frustrating to work with. They claim notifications of plan and pricing changes were sent, but they have never been able to provide proof. After weeks and a BBB complaint, they finally sent a letter — but it was undated and still doesn’t verify the original notification.
I was forced to accept new terms just to regain access to my account, which is unacceptable. I also could not get a clear comparison of what changed in the new plan versus my old plan, leaving me unable to fully understand what I was agreeing to.
Customer service has been unhelpful and generic, with no accountability for these repeated failures. This is not the first time Clover has failed to properly communicate changes, which is why I escalated to the BBB.
While the system works well, the moment support or communication is needed, problems arise. I would not recommend Clover to other business owners. Transparency and proper customer service are essential, and Clover consistently fails to deliver.

Clover was easy to get set-up and the fees are much lower than all the resellers out there. Their Go app is easy to use and very fast! Payments are received very quickly as well.

Unfortunately, I overlooked the 48-month term of the contract. Upon trying to cancel, I was told I was liable for almost a full year of payments. To make matters worse, I received conflicting information: first, an agent said I only owed four months, but a second agent later insisted I had eight months left.I strongly advise all potential customers to scrutinize the contract terms carefully. This company demonstrates little understanding of the realities and challenges small businesses face. They are prepared to charge you regardless of whether your business is operational or profitable.

The worst company ever!!!!! Make sure you check your bank account even after you cancel with these scumbags!!!! just found out they have been sliding charges into our account even though I called and canceled the service over two years ago. After having an issue with an accountant and him being charged and placed in jail I find this out. and the fact that they have on record me calling in in sept of 2023 requesting the account be canceled. now talking to customer support i find out its a compliance fee. A BUNCH OF SCUM BAGS!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM USE ANYONE ELSE. BEWARE!!!!!
Totally unreliable access. Glitchy, awful
Totally unreliable in terms of even accessing my account. The 2-factor authentication code is rarely sent out on time, forcing you to repeat and repeat and waste tons of time. Customer service is only available if you can get into your account, but since the 2FA is mostly glitched out, you can't access anyone there for help.
